AN: Carl is the smartest birb.

Kit was looking around for Carl frantically. She hadn't been able to find him all day and had even confronted Lafou about it once again but the cat hadn't touched her bird. She looked all over the guild hall before heading out side it. To her surprise, there was a giant pillar made out of earth in the middle of the training grounds. She looked up it to see Mario sitting on top and then she heard him talking.

"Yes I know that you like crackers... no we're not getting you any... because then I'd have to stop focusing on making the pillar so I could get down... The point of talking to you while I focus my magic on forming the pillar, is so I can multitask better... Its not exactly wide enough to take anyone with me on... that's different you're just a bird... Wow, I really have to wonder why Kit likes you so much with a mouth li- wait a second, who did you even pick that up from?... Zaro? Huh, he doesn't really curse much so I'm surprised."

"Mario?" Kit called up in question and the dragon slayer looked down, giving her the opportunity to see that he had Carl on his shoulder.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"Why do you have Carl?" She asked with a warning tone in her voice.

"I'm talking to Carl, who apparently has a wide vocabulary, while making a pillar using my magic, thus learning to keep the pillar steady while having to keep a conversation." Mario told her even as he made the pillar descend to the ground where he moved the bird over to her shoulder.

Kit sighed before saying. "Next time you take Carl, tell me so I won't be looking for him all day."

Mario blinked in surprise before nodding. Kit could be really protective of her bird.
