How to get more reads and votes on your story?

Before i start i will like to clearly mention. I am NOT a professional writer and probably not so good with writing. But as many of you have asked how to get more reads and votes on your stories. I can give you some tips on getting more reads and votes.

Tips-

1.Remember to NOT have many spelling or grammar mistakes. Because some readers stop reading books that have too many spelling or grammar mistakes.

Our aim is to get your book more read and books with mistakes like that readers mostly stop reading and abandon those books. 

2.Have long chapters, to be honest having long chapters is a very hard job. I struggle with having long chapters myself. But books with long chapters get more reads and votes.

3.I have seen that many people hate the fact when some writers say if i get 100 (for example) votes i will update this book. I have read books where writers did this and I did stop reading the book.

4.Make sure the book makes sense. Many readers hate when books don't make sense and mainly stop reading the book.

5.Make sure to follow wattpad's rules and NOT break them and do read for read or vote for vote. I think vote for vote is also not allowed. Because I do know some readers who stop reading books that the writer has done read for read and other stuff.

Well that is all of my tips for you. If you're a reader then make sure to do these following things because us writers do appreciate it a lot and it cheers us up.

-Vote on as many chapters
-Add the book to your public reading library
-Follow the writer
-Make sure to comment and tell the writer what you think of the book

When you readers do those things it makes us really happy. When most of those things are done if i am able to, I message the reader and say thank you for it.
