That is the sound of your organs flatlining. You open your eyes and are compuzzled when you see the same white walls and smell the dirtied blood matting the rip in your parts where the shrapnel had pierced. Wheezing you attempt to shift your legs and then realise that it doesn't hurt. Your pants are still torn but then you undo the material further. Your fingers shake as it touches solid skin.
"Good morning," the professor says walking in the room a smirk playing on his lips. You gasp and no noise comes out. He waves a remote in his hands.
"You can't speak unless I let you," he says, then presses a button.

"What's going on? What did you do to me?" You ask.
"Well, when a person's heart stops beating, usually they die. I installed an expensive chip inside of you to regulate your respiratory abilities even without functional natural organs. I granted you a second chance at life."
