WHEN JACQUELINE CAME TO, she was in a room with white walls. She laid in a bed with special bracelets on her wrists. She sat up and began to hyperventilate.

Steve watched from a room with several monitors. One of them had footage from Jacqueline's cell, "Is this really necessary?" He asked,

"We don't know what she can do, Captain. We need to keep our guard up." Fury responded,

"I told her she could trust me. Trust SHIELD. And now she's in a cell, Fury. She's never going to trust us now." Steve replied angrily, pacing the room.

"Her trust doesn't matter right now." Fury said, "First we need to figure out her abilities and what exactly she is capable of."

Steve shook his head, "And to figure that out, doesn't she have to trust us?" He noticed her panic attack and walked towards the door, "Let me in."

The door opened and Jacq looked over at Steve as he entered the room, "I've seen you. On the news." She heaved, trying to keep her mind off the situation at hand, "You're Captain America."

Steve smiled, "Yes, I am."

"Why am I here?" Jacq asked, gripping the sheets underneath her, "I thought you said I could trust you."

"You can." Steve replied,

"Then why am I locked in this room?!" Her breaths began to quicken, "I need to go home."

"I'm afraid I can't let you do that." The two turned towards the door where Fury stood. Jacq scrambled back into the wall in fear, "You're too dangerous to let out."

"But my mom." She whimpered, "He killed her."

"Who killed your mom?" Steve asked, coming closer to her,

"My step-dad, Mark. He..." Jacq's breath quickened, "He..."

"Hey, it's okay." Steve said, placing a hand on her shoulder and Jacqueline flinched. He turned back to Fury, "That must have triggered the attack."

Nick Fury took a step forwards, "Those bracelets will keep your powers confined. And you will keep them on until you can control them."

"How long do I have to stay in here?" Jacq asked, wanting to get away from the men in front of her,

"In this cell? Until you control your powers. We can't let you out in the world wondering if you'll cause the next Ice Age." Fury responded,

Jacqueline went to seek comfort with her necklace but couldn't find it. It all made sense now, why she lost control. Her necklace was gone.
