Chapter 21

The next day, Ayano made her way to the train station, even if her mom tried to force her to take the car, she managed to get away, and make it to the train in time.

Grabbing onto one of the rails, Ayano felt a jolt as the train started to move again. With a sigh, she watched as everything blurred by out the window. She had heard from the doctor that everyone else in her class was okay, except for Izuku who had broken his legs in the fight, but he was healed up easily by Recovery Girl.

When the train stopped at UA station, Ayano hopped off, the doors closing right behind her and the train starting to move again.

Adjusting her uniform, she started walking to the school.

"Ayano!" Someone called out to her, and Ayano looked behind her, seeing a smiling Uraraka running up to her. "I'm so glad you're okay!"

Ayano slowed down and waited for her to catch up. "Yeah. My parents almost forced me to stay home today, but, I managed to convince them to let me come don't know how I could of spent another day of them doting on me without murdering someone."

Looking at Uraraka, Ayano noticed that she was staring at the bandaged side of her face. Moving her head to the side, she looked at the ground, and Uraraka noticed the glum look on her face.

"I'm sorry! I didn't mean to stare!" She exclaimed.

Ayano looked at her and forced a smile on her face. "It's fine. I guess I'll have to get used to people staring, huh?"

"Are you sure you're okay to be going to school, if you still have some bandages..."

"I'm positive. These are actually my choice to wear. The damage under them... Is well, perminate. But it wasn't anything the villains did to me. It was something completely different, so don't worry!"

Uraraka looked at her, concern still showing on her face, but she choose not to pry, and Ayano let out a sigh a relief.

"Anyways, I was glad to hear that you guys were okay. All alive and well." Trying to get the topic of the conversation off of her.

"Yeah." Uraraka agreed. "What was it like?" She asked.

"What was what like?"

"Fighting all those villains. Alone?" It was obvious getting the topic of her wasn't going to work.

Ayano was quiet for a moment. "Scary." She said after thinking. "I was surrounded by all of them and had no idea where the way out was. Though... I managed to defeat them all. Of course, I didn't get out unscathed."

Soon, the two of them reached the door to their classroom and Ayano hesitated. She could already guess what would happened when she entered. Everyone must know about what happened with her already.

"You alright?" Uraraka asked.

Ayano looked at her, and smiled. "Yeah, just mentally preparing myself for what's to come." She took a deep breath, and just before she could open the door, she heard a shout.

"Oh, shut up! Grow a pair looser."

Ayano glanced at Uraraka and they both snickered, obviously that was Bakugou.

"Attention! Homeroom class is about to begin!" Another voice came through from the other side of the door, and Ayano sighed. "We should... You know probably get into the classroom."

She opened the door, seeing Iida standing at the front podium, his head turned and his eyes met with Ayano's.

"Hey, emergency exit Iida." She said with a small smile.

"Miss Hyida." He whispered.

Looking over the rest of the class, Ayano noticed that everyone was staring at her. "Could you guys... You know, not stare?" She asked, "It's kinda creepy." She walked to her desk that was in the back, still feeling the eyes on her. She knew people were going to stare. She just sighed and sat down.

The door slid open again, and Ayano almost burst out laughing. Aizawa was standing in the doorway wrapped in bandages from head to toe.

"Mr. Aizawa! What are you doing here?" The class exclaimed.

"Mr. Aizawa!" Iida exclaimed, raising his hand high in the air. "I'm glad you're okay!"

"You call that Okay?" Uraraka asked quietly.

"My well being is irrelevant, what's more important is that your fight isn't over yet."

A panic ran through the class, and Ayano heard kids muttering about more bad guys.

"The UA Sports festival is about to start."

"Ah! Why would you scare us like that?" Everyone shouted, then excitement started going around.

"Let's kick some ass!" Kirishima exclaimed.

Kaminari pushed him to the side, "Wait a minute."

"Is it really a good idea to hold the sports festival so soon after the villains snuck inside?" Jiro asked, her hand raised slightly in the air.

"They could attack us easily if we're all in the same place." Ojiro stated.

"Apparently the administration thinks this is a good way to show that the treat has been handled and out school is safer than ever. Plus, they're beefing up security compared to past years." Aizawa answered. "His event is a huge opportunity for all students at UA. It's not something we can cancel because of a few villains. Our sports festival is one of the most watched events in the entire world. In the past, everyone obsessed over the Olympic Games, but then quirks started appearing. Now the olympics have been dragging and reduced in terms of scale and viewership. For anyone who cares about competition, there's only one tournament that matters. The UA Sports Fesival."

"That's right, and top heroes everywhere will be watching." Momo exclaimed, "This is where you get scouted."

"Sure, unless you're not dead." Mineta stated, Extreamly paranoid.

"She's right." Kaminari agreed, "After graduating, a lot of people join pro industries as a side kick."

"Yeah, but that's as far a some people go." Jiro stated. "They miss their chance to go independent and stay eternally side kicks." She then looked at Kaminari, "Actually, that's probably where you're headed. You're kinda dumb."

"It's true that joining a famous hero agency can grant you greater experiences for popularity. That's why the festival matters. If you wanna go pro one day, this event can open a path for you. One chance a year, three chances in a life time, no aspiring hero can afford to miss this festival. That means you'd better not slack off on your training."

"Yes sir!"

"Class is dismissed."

Once class with Cementos ended, everybody started talking.

"The whole stuff with the villains sucked, sure, but I'm pumped for the games!" Kirishima exclaimed.

Ayano watched at Ayoama bragged about how the scouts won't be able to take their eyes off of him.

Kaminari sighed, "You're so lucky, Shoji. People are bound to notice your unique quirk."

"Sure, but matters is that I show them how useful I can be." Shoji stated.

Jiro started to snicker, "No doubt you'll make a scene too."

"This is gonna be nuts, everyone is so excited." Izuku stated in front of Ayano.

"Well yeah, everyone enrolled at the school with the sole aim to become heros. So naturally we're all getting fired up." He pointed to Izuku, "You have to be exited too, Right Midoriya?"

"Well yeah, of course I am. And also nervious."

"Deku, Iida, Ayano! Let's do our best in the Sports Fesival!" Uraraka exclaimed, getting the threes attention, and Ayano looked at her, shocked at the amount of determination she had, it was even radiating off of her.

"Uraraka? What happened to your face?" Izuku asked.

"Seriously, what's up, you're normally like the most laid back girl ever." Ashido stated.

"Everyone, I'm gonna do my best!" Uraraka shouted as she raised her hand in the air."

"Yeah!" Everyone said, and Ayano joined in, a smile on her face.

She turned to those who didn't say anything. "I said I'm gonna do my best!" She screeched, and all of them said a faint "yeah"

A while later, the four of them were heading to the lunch room, and Izuku spoke up, breaking the silence.

"Hey, Uraraka?"

"What's up?"

"Why did you decide to come to UA? What made you want to become a pro hero?"

"Oh... Well... Because I want the money I guess."

Izuku stopped walking, "For the money?" He asked. "You wanna be a hero so you can get rich?"

"If we're cutting to the chase then yah." Uraraka said, a bit awkward. "I'm sorry if it sounds greedy! You three have such admirable motivations, I hope you don't think less of me now."

"Not at all, your goal is to support your well being," Iida stated, "Which is a perfectly admirable motivation to have."

Ayano agreed with him by nodding.

"It's just kinda surprising." Izuku admitted.

"Well you see, my family owns a construction company.but we haven' gotten any work lately so we're flat broke.yway, this usually isn't something I tell other people."

"Construcion, eh?" Iida asked.

Then him and Izuku talked about how if she got listed she could bring down costs a lot, and they could sell their heavy lifting equipment, since she would be able to flute everything.

"I know right? I've been telling dad that since I was a kid!" Uraraka exclaimed, "But... He always told me to achieve my own dream. I'm gonna become a pro. I'll sign with a good agency and make plenty of money. Then I'll be able to let my parents have an easy life."

Iida started clapping, proclaiming how beautiful it was.

Ayano walked up to Uraraka and placed a hand on her shoulder. "That's a real motivation, and there's no reason you should be ashamed of it." She said.

Then there was laughter, and Ayano looked down the hall, seeing All Might running up to them. "Young Midoriya, is here!" He pointed towards Midoriya, and Ayano just looked at him, he scared her half t death.

"Woah, All Might, what are you doing here?"

"Lunch!" He showed a bento box, "You want to eat with me?"

Ayano placed her hand over her mouth, oh my God that's adorable and so halarious. She thought, and watched as Midoriya headed over.

"Sure thing."

The two disappeared around the coner, and the three left standing in the hall heading into the lunch room, getting in line to buy food

"I wonder what he wanted with Deku." Uraraka said.

"I heard that when All Might was attacked by Villains during the USJ incident, Midoriya tried to stop them himself. Perhaps that's what this was about."

"Oh yeah!" Uraraka exclaimed.

"Also, remember what Asui said on the bus?"

Ayano remembered back to when Asui stated that Izuku's power was a lot like All Might's.

"Since their quirks are similar to each ther, it's possible that All Might's taken a liking to him." Iida suggested. "How lucky!"

The three of them bought their food and sat down at a table.

"Hey, Miss Hyida, are you sure you're well enough to be at school today?" Iida asked, looking ay Ayano.

"Yeah, the doctors said it was alright for me to go to school. And I should be healed enough by the sports festival to compete." Ayano looked at her hand and balled it into a fist. "I'll show the world that I won't be thrown down by some petty villains!"

Iida looked at Ayano, "But you should still be careful."

"I will I will, don't worry. Anyways, let's eat." She smiled and dug into her food.
