Hordes of Flames stood at the edge of the Fire Kingdom, staring out into the Earth Kingdom in a compound of confusion and disbelief.
Sage, Lynn, Chan, Bam and Rose had to push their way through to get to the front. Some Flames complained but upon seeing the two Icicles and Embidan, they instantly shut up.
"Oh look," Felix called out when he found then in the crowd. "You made it."
"I wouldn't miss it for anything in this world," Rose responded.
"Come on, let's get to the front to get a better look," he grinned to her before shouting to the other Flames. "Make way! Embidan and Aquidan coming through."
People scrambled around, trying to form a space for them to pass. On a normal occasion, they wouldn't have, thinking they were using their power to cut in front but with all the rising confusion, they felt they were their only hopes when it came down to an explanation for this. Not to mention the fact they could sense a change in Rose's aura: it was much like Fire's, like a leader's.
The other side of the border was mainly green. A green plant that they'd soon find out was called grass carpeted the floor. Trees pierced through the grass, towering up to provide shade to a mini wooden bench and several flowers. This picture was repeated all over the green land as if someone had copy-and-pasted it all throughout the Kingdom.
"Eden's Kingdom," Lynn murmured to Rose. "Oliver is in here."
"That means the West Border is Skye's Kingdom... Is the other side also visible there?"
"No. Sage and I checked. But maybe it will in a couple of days. Who knows?"
"Can we go in?" Rose asked, outstretching her arm however, instead of it going to the other side, it hit against something. It was like an invisible wall. Rose outstretched her other arm and felt along the wall, there had to be a way inside.
"Wait, Rose," Lynn spoke. "I see something."
Rose looked in the direction she was staring in.
"I do too."
Two small green orbs progressively got closer and closer until they were just in front of her. She stared questioningly at them before realising they were eyes.
"It's him," she told Lynn. "It's Oliver."
And upon saying his name, the ground shook. Rose stared down at it, taking a couple of steps back as she began to feel nauseous. When she gazed back up, her eyes locked with a pair of green eyes before she noticed a boy about her age standing on the other side of the border. Behind him, was a crowd of people that circled the area just as the Flames did.
The boy's eyes widened as he glanced at her. He had a large, styled afro and a rich, dark skin tone which suited him perfectly.
"Rose," he murmured in shock, staring down at her.
Immediately, both Rose and Oliver collapsed. The crowds panicked, running to their sides, terrified.
But Lynn didn't budge. She barely even noticed Rose faint. She continued staring into the Earth Kingdom, dumbfounded. She didn't see Oliver, just like he didn't see her. She did, however, see a boy with short, spiky white hair, grey eyes and a skin tone so white, it was practically transparent. He was suspended off the ground with a little cloud beneath his feet.
His eyes widened momentarily before going nonchalant again.
"Hail," Lynn's voice trembled.
He glanced at her, eyes scanning over her body before he offered her a sweet smile.
"Lynn."
And both of them collapsed.
