"I accuse Foxdawn!"

Flypaw and Breezepaw let out meows of protest as the Clan turned to look at the former queen, the calico's eyes flashed with hurt, before she sighed.

"Fine then. There's clearly nothing I can do to stop this discussion, but know this, I would never endanger my kits like this, nor would I ever hurt my sister," Foxdawn stated, lifting her head to meet Rootstar's sympathetic gaze.

Lynxstorm huffed.

"The 'gentle mother' act doesn't fool me, she's the best in our Clan at making strategies, she could've definitely hurt all those cats if she wanted to..." he mumbled, the she-cat in question bristling in response.

Rootstar dismissed him with a flick of her tail.

"We can't make a decision until we've discussed this in more detail, the argument of one cat is not enough. So, TundraClan, do you believe Foxdawn to be innocent or guilty?"

Evidence of her innocence:

- As stated before, Snowpetal is her sister, it is unlikely that she would try to attack her, as well as risk getting her other sister Fogwhisper exiled

- She only became a warrior again very recently after being in the nursery for some time, would she really abandon her kits multiple times to carry out attacks?

- Despite her somewhat cold attitude toward cats she dislikes, she is usually a very gentle cat like her mate, a trait that differs from the way the killer seems to act around their victims

Evidence of her guilt:

- She has black tufts of fur, matching the visual clue discovered in the last chapter

- Similarly to the rest of her siblings, she is a very skilled and talented warrior, and would likely have very little difficulty taking down other cats quickly

- In the previous scene, the killer complained about Darkwind's death being a waste of a strong warrior and showed preference for death via battle instead, perhaps a talented warrior like Foxdawn would match this view in her respect for others' skills
