Sorry for this chapter.  If it's lacking

Aurora couldn't stand to see Esme look so anxious while they were getting the dresses.  And Aurora couldn't resist causing a little mischief and picking Lauren as a target.  Lauren had barely looked away for a second before her skin was glowing an eerie green with her hair nearly as blinding as the sun.  Not to mention the dark flecks on Lauren's limbs.

After Lauren's loud horrified reaction Esme had smiled and Aurora just laughed.  " Now that cheered you up Aunt Esme. It'll be a big day for you and you can't be so scared when your picking out your outfit."

Lorna tried to keep a straight face and to scold her child but couldn't. She just laughed with the Frost Sisters.  So it was Catlin who kneeled down and talked to the little girl.  But she did put a little distance trying not to be too close. This little girl was known for making whoever lectured her look like a living lantern.

" Honey everyone's picking out theit outfit and it's sweet that you cheered up Esme. But you can't make Lauren a  living distraction. Everyone especially Esme need to be focused on picking out what to wear for her and Andy's big day."

" Fine." The pouting was adorable along with the eventual apology to Lauren and turning her back to normal.  A less tense Esme was able to pick out her dresses with everyone else. 

It was unspoken that for the ceremony Sophie and Phoebe would have matching dresses but Esme would stand out. And with the dress she picked out everyone would be able tk tell the difference. 

After helping Aurora with a dress that still looked good with ever changing glowing spots Lorna found hers.

Lauren and Catlin were able to find their dresses as well.

But for Catlin the best part of the day was seeing Esme in that gown. Esme had already been practically a part of the family. When she watched the nervous telepath that day she knew Esme was already unofficially family and that when the treasured day came she wouldn't just be crying about her little boy.

Andy's Pov
How did I write my wedding vows without being scared about Esme gettimg home early and spoiling it for herself.  Well it involved a helmet that was much too big and was bright purple. A gift from Lorna who wanted to get rid of her father's helmet.  And it was painful,  hot, and a literal weight on my shoulders. 

I wrote every wood on the cover of this journal Esme gave me a while back. I had some of my best work in there and the vows I hoped would be effective and beautiful.

Speaking of that notebook I kept the sketch that would become the design on every wedding invitation. Now that took a long time to recreate and to write the words in cursive.  Also make every single of them icy blue.

Imagine chaotic yet intricate cracks around the carefully written words and all of it made to literally glow because of that little hopeful angel Aurora.  That's every invitation.

Speaking of those invitations I hope people got the physical ones and the recreations Esme sent telepathically.  Since Haller, Lenny, Summers, Ms Turner are off the grid. Not to mention every one else we know that's a wanted fugitive like Daken and his sisters.   Hope my cousin can make it with my grandma.  Maybe more family members but whi knows.

Stop it Andrew your getting sidetracked you need to memorize this stuff.  Finally when Esme finally got back to their home I took off the helmet and hid the book.

Luckily she kept the dress in the bag. We were following a few traditions.  Such as spending the last night before the wedding apart and me never seeing the dress before the ceremony.

" I have ti show you what Aurora did to Lauren. " The following mental image will be remembered as a laugh I desperately needed. But what came next was something even better we completely forget about. 

Apparently Aurora had insisted in tagging along to give us something. And she had a big proud smile on her face and couldn't wait to tell us why.

" Your lucky  that I remembered what Clarice needed when it was her big day when I was really little. Something taken, something scary blue, and something really really new." From the box she took out a tie for me that was the same blue as Esme using her ability,  and a veil for Esme that would illuminate her hair and bring out more of her beauty. 

What came next was expected. We needed to thank her.  We hugged her and said thank you repeatedly.

She gave us something we completely forget and she remembered even if it was a little off.

" You've pretty much given us the best early gift Aurora. " The little girl just shrugged before answering.

" Someone needs to make sure the both of you watch these stupid before wedding Jitters and try to get rid of them. No cold feet on Aurora Sonya  Dane-Diaz's watch."
