Chapter Three

*Chapter Three*

*Darkness thats what surrounded me nothing but cold and darkness. Fear filled me, I felt light my body seemed to be flying. No. Floating, my body was floating suddenly I remember Stella and the ice breaking.

I remembered my mother, my long dead brother and father. I don't know how long I just floated in darkness running my life through my mind and chances are I never will. All I knew was I felt my body change around me making me numb.

The numbness suddenly changed to energy and my eyes snapped open. The first thing I saw was a giant round object through the top of the ice.My first thought was this was impossible. I was dead thats it!

My body seemed to float towards the light of the moon. I smiled slightly as I wasn't in darkness or scared anymore. My palms pressed up against the ice that trapped me under. The moon seemed to shine brighter and all I wanted was to get to it and out of the water.

I curled my fingers into a fist and punched threw it. My hand was the first to reach air just as it did I started to break the ice above at the moment I was greatful the ice wasn't thick. Soon enough the was a big enough hole to pull myself out.

My fingers gripped the ice above surprisingly not slipping. I pulled myself up and my face hit the air I let out a breath. Once I was on the ice I layed down flat on my back looking up at the moon. My breathing was shaky.

I should be freaking out but oddly I wasn't, everything seemed to be natural to me and calm. Sitting up a piece of hair fell in my face. I went to push it away but froze as I looked at the pure white lock of hair in my face.

I turned towards the ice leaning on my side my hands in front of me. A cry escaped my lips my hair was solid white with was looked like frost and ice held most of my hair from my face and made it stick up in places.

My eyes were a blue and had what looked like frost patterns in them. I didn't look like myself anymore even the freckle I had under my eye changed it was now a small but visual blue snowflake.  I stood up slowly nearly slipping on ice.

I balanced myself I stood my brown dress which didn't fit my look anymore. As I took a step frost formed under my feet. I jumped back just as my body flung upward I screamed. I was flying panicked I found myself flying above the trees.

Before I could reacted I found myself falling hitting a few branches before smacking into a pile of snow. I quickly got to my feet resting my hand on a nearby tree to keep me steady. Frost started to spread from my fingers up the tree.

I jerked back before touching  another tree see the frost form again. This was impossible not logical whatsoever! As fast I could go I ran away from the pond and away from the trees. As I bursted from the trees I felt a electric shock.

I screamed again as woman walked right threw me. Just as I backed up another person ran right threw me. I wasn't sure what to do so I looked at the moon as blankly as my mother did before she past.

That night I learned I was no longer Emma Overland but Emma Frost. Why was I here? To find him the boy like me. Why? I didn't know. How did I know all this? The moon told me so thats all he ever told me. And that was the last time he did for a long, long time.

ONE-HUNDRED YEARS LATER

I know your probably wondering why only a hundred years later? Well I didn't find the boy like me for atleast three hundred years after I became Emma Frost. But I had only been around One hundred when I met them.

I walked threw the forested bored I had on a white sleeveless dresses. It made my skin look paler and my hair look lighter. I had gotten used to being alone and I hated to admit it but sometimes I wished someone could see me.

Sighing I ran my fingers across the trees I passed leaving frost in my place. It was late winter and the ground was covered in blankets of snow oddly I wasn't the one to put it there. It had been strangely quiet this morning.

The farther I walked instarted to hear the sound of voices. It took a few minutes before I found were they were coming from. A girl stood by a lake that was frozen solid. She didn't look like she belonged here in winter.

She had long blonde hair that fell just past her waist. She wore a band around her head made of flowers. Her dress was a bright yellow, her skin was a sun kissed color. She wore no shoes like me, vines that had been twisted into bracelets hung on her wrists with yellow, flowers around it.

This girl was strange she obviously wasn't human. She stepped on to the ice sliping in process. Bloomed flowers shot up around her. The girl giggled, she was about my age. I stepped forward just as another girl appeared,  she wore flowers like the last girl on a band around her head only they weren't completely bloomed.

She had bark skin and black hair that was in a dark braid behind her back. Her dress was pink and fell all the way to the ground unlike the fist girl whos dress fell to her knees.

"Summer," the bark girl shook her head, "You know not to mess with nature."

"Im sorry I slipped," Summer frowned.

Summer got up dusting off the snow on her dress. They were joined by another girl, her skin was slightly pale she had red curly hair that fell just past her shoulders. The band around her head had not flowers but leaves.

She wore a orange shirt and a red skirt like the other two no shoes. "Summer," the girl groan at the non nature flowers that circled the blonde.

"Sorry I-, " she stopped.

I didn't know what for intill I saw frost covering the flowers making them go away. My frost. The redhead looked my way but I hid behind the tree, "Someones watching us," she murmured.

"Do you mean someone can see us?" Summer wondered.

"Yes but not because they believe," the redhead explained,  "Show yourself."

Her voices was beautiful like the sound of leaves falling. Her voice was different from the others, Summers sound like warm sunlight,  and the dark girl sounded like chirping birds. Slowly I did what I was told, I stepped out from behind a tree.

At first I thought they didn't see me but when Summer spoke I knew they did, "Another winter spirit."

Another?

"I thought it was only the guy?" The dark one stated.

"State your name," the redhead demand her face was hard.

"Emma Frost, " I replied taking a step forward, "And you?"

"Autumn Leaves, the Autumn Spirt," she tells me.

"Spring Bloom, the Spring Spirit," the dark one introduced.

"Summer Sun, the Summer Spirit, " Summer chuckled then leaned over to Autumn and whispered, "Can we keep her?"

Autumn smiled looking at me, "Would you like to join us? The Other Frost declined."

Other Frost?

"Really?" I was quite surprised I just met theses girls.

"Sure why not we never had a winter spirit with you we'll be a group of all four season spirits," Spring tells me.

"Um yes I would love to," I smiled I wouldn't be alone no anymore.

"Great!!" Summer ran over hugging me but stepped back shivering, "Wow your cold."

"You know Emma doesn't suit you much, plus it doesn't make sinces in our group, " Spring stated.

"Oh I know will call you Winter!" Summer says.

"Winter I like it what do you think?" Autumn asked.

They looked at me Autum with her hazel eyes, Spring with her dark, Summer with her green. I nodded.

"Winter," I repeated, "Winter Frost, the winter spirit."
