Chapter 14 | Wrong Dreams
Snow flurries drifted through the air as Olga drove downtown. She made it to the Ridge Lodge. It was more than a step above the single motel in town. She could have gone to one of the chain hotels but Olga wasn't going to miss out on a chance to pamper herself.
Some amount of self-care would make up for the events of the past week.
Finally, she arrived at the lodge. It felt out of place having been built right across from the McDonalds. Inside, the decorations were a little outdated. None of that mattered. Her massage was in ten minutes and then there was the controlled atmosphere of her President suite to look forward to.
No nut job werewolf would be walking around to ruin her life. Most of the lodge-goers were old hunting couples or visitors from out of state.
By the time Olga unpacked her suitcase, she was ready to sleep. Even after the massage and eating a basket of complimentary chocolate-dipped strawberries, she still felt aloof. Maybe it was because she had bitten Jax that, sometimes, bits and pieces of his discussions with Sashka drifted across her mind.
She yawned, ignoring their voices in her head. It definitely wasn't on the list of side effects Jax mentioned...or had he forgotten?
Olga knew she didn't need his help. She couldn't deny her curiosity about his marital status though. It was just the beginning. Her worries, and imagination, began to drift in a bizarre direction as she fell under sleep's spell.
There was a fireplace in the room. It was so warm and toasty. It was almost too comfortable.
"I'm not sure what I want." She wasn't sure why she said it though, he had done more than pleased her already.
She was getting bored of laying on her back and knew he was getting tired.
Eventually, they pulled apart. Olga laid on her side feeling worried and confused by his behavior. As if to make sure he was still there, she reached over to his arm. She wanted to cuddle close before falling asleep.
"I'm still here, babe," be responded in a gruff voice.
She smiled, heart pounding, as she could feel his new excitement.
He playfully pinched her waist while sucking on his claim mark. Olga laughed, pretending to crawl away. She clawed at the sheets while he dragged her backward slowly with a chuckle. In the darkness, he placed her on his lap with a dramatic grunt as her mouth landed on his shoulder.
Olga wanted to be certain Jax had been truly claimed. She was desperate to get rid of the gross bond with Ulrich. She panted in the heat of the movement with excitement. He grabbed her butt with both hands while she bit down on his shoulder hard. Jax, in turn, bit his own mark on her. It was beyond pleasing. It felt like a routine that she already knew.
Olga threw her head back while Jax hollered with pleasure. His hands shook while he hugged her tight. Her legs quivered. She moaned loud feeling her body throb and ache with an aggressive new need. Jax crawled over, his brown hair fell over his eyes as a beautiful smile spread across his face. He wanted to make sure she went to sleep satisfied so he crawled back over her.
"Jax!"
"Come on, Sash. You know I'm not done with you yet."
Olga woke up with a racing heart, horrified and confused. She wasn't certain if it was purely just a dream or some out of body experience.
"What the hell was that?" she thought out loud, mortified.
Was I really in Sashka's body? she wondered feeling ashamed.
More than anything, she felt disturbed. Did Sashka know? Olga didn't want to think so. So badly, she wanted to believe it was just a twisted dream spurred on by the insanity of being involved in the whole dog life.
If they could talk in each other's minds, was it too far fetched that they could know each other's dreams too?
With a sigh, she checked her phone. Rollo had texted her about having lunch. There was no way she was going to drive up the mountain to meet him. She didn't have a plan yet.
She felt selfish for wishing she had more family to go to than just him. He was getting old and would soon really need her help. Olga wished she had friends to go to, for years, being isolated in the cabin didn't do much to help in that area of her life.
Part of her thought it best to tell no one.
Maybe Rollo would understand...maybe not. She would wait.
Olga didn't want to leave him alone though with Ulrich running the place. She felt obligated to make him leave. The paperwork never went to the bank. It was still under her name, not his. The deed had never been handed in. She didn't know where it was exactly, but that did not matter, because she knew where it was last.
