So, I'm a Sentry in Snow Terminal, and I sit there and watch for humans. To be honest it's really boring. Fortunately, there's a door on an off beaten path deep in the forest, and it's perfect for practicing knock knock jokes if I ever get the comedian job offered in Flame Terminal. So one day I'm dishing them out like normal, knocking on the door and doing my usual routine when I hear someone reply.

"Who's there?" The woman's voice called out. Naturally, I was shocked. I thought it was abandoned. I had to play it cool so I continued the joke.

"Dishes." I replied.

"Dishes who?"

"Dishes a very bad joke." And then, she starts howling like a hyena. It was like it was the best joke she's heard for longer than I'd been alive. I honestly liked the feeling it gave me that I made someone laugh and kept them coming. She kept laughing until it felt like she'd explode. That woman's the best audience I've had since that doll fell into the digital world and I kept it until Anthony got unnerved by it and Sam took it for some reason.... He's a scientist so I didn't question it. 

After quite a few of them, she knocks and says. 

"Knock Knock."

"Who's there?" I replied.

"Old Lady."

"Old lady who?"

"I didn't know you could yodel!". Wow, I had no idea she was that good, so we kept telling each other jokes for hours. In all honesty, I could've been all day and night if Anthony hadn't yelled at me that I needed to go home or I'd catch a cold. The voice told me to come back again, so I did the next day, and then the next and then the next. Eventually it became a habit of mine. Then I noticed after about a month, she stopped laughing. I asked her what was wrong because I was really concerned and then she said something odd.

"If a human comes through this door, promise me this. That you will watch over them and protect them." I hate making promises, and I didn't know her name... But someone who sincerely likes bad jokes, has an integrity that you can't say no to. So, do you get what I'm saying?
