Super 761
Weclome to 'From Words on Paper', where we get to know some of our favorite authors, and learn more from them beside what they create for the fandom.
Tonight on the show, we're joined by Super761 . An author that writes multiple long stories from RWBY, and other series. You might know him from stories like 'The Stone Hearted Rose', 'Is This the Real Life' and many more. And we're glad that he could join us here, tonight.
Artomix: Alright, before we start off with the questions, I want to thank you for participation on this 'show' of mine.
Super: It's a pleasure to be here.
Artomix: I want you to know that you're not forced to answer any questions if you don't want to, and that you're free to ask anything to me as well.
Super: Alright then.
Artomix: Now, how I like to start off with the interviews is, who are you? So why don't you talk a bit about yourself.
Super: Well my name is Super761 or irl Brandon, i'm currently doing my final exams and have a kinda busy schedule.
Artomix: Finals? What are you studying to have final exams during this time of the year, if you don't mind me asking.
Super: I'm doing History and Art as well as the core subjects, y'know english lit, english language, maths and science.
Artomix: Then I can understand why you're doing the finals now.Anyway, the next question is about your artistic name, what does it mean to you?
Super: Well it was because at the time of first making it i was watching dragon ball super and the latest episode was episode 76 but the website needed it to be 8 digits so i added a 1 and that's how Super761 came around.
Artomix: Easy enough I suppose. Aside from that is there any reason why you chose the name 'Super'? Or was is just a random thought?
Super: No other reason.
Artomix: Alright. The next question I got is... How did you discover RWBY?
Super: I think it was because i was going through netflix one day and saw it, so i thought "fuck it" and watched the three volumes they had.
Artomix: It's was on Netflix?
Super: For awhile yes but was taken down.
Artomix: I think Red vs Blue is on Netflix though
Super: It is.
Artomix: How is that on Netflix, but not RWBY?
Super: I have no idea.
Artomix: Have you ever written something before RWBY? If so, what was it about?
Super: Yes, my first one was Highschool DxD. My friend kept telling me to do one so in the end i did. It's kinda embarrassing but it's what got me started.
Artomix: Everyone has to start from somewhere. My first story wasn't the best either, but I'm still proud of it.
Super: Isn't that the truth.
Artomix: Alright, I have one last question before we start with the more serious questions. Do you have a favorite author or favorite story?
Super: I don't have a favourite author and my favourite book would have to be Two halves make a whole by Oneinconsistantboi
Artomix: I'm not familiar with that one, could you tell a little bit about it?
Super: Well it's a male reader story where the reader is a scond year at Beacon, He hates Beacon and everyone at it but there's something about Team RWBY that makes him want to stay.
Artomix: Alright, I might have to look at it after this.
Super: I doubt you'd regret it.
Artomix: Before we start with the 'author related' questions, do you have anything you want to ask me before we start?
Super: Hmm... not really
Artomix: Normally, I'd ask why you started writing, but you already answered that one, so then next question is... How do you get inspired to write your stories?/Where for you get your ideas for stories?
Super: I get my ideas from things i've seen and/or read. I'm inspired by seeing what people'll think about it.
Artomix: Interesting. I've read some of your stories in the past and I find them quite interesting. Hell, I still remember when you started writing 'The Stone Hearted Rose' so long ago, and that stories had some interesting plot twists in it. Although I'm still not sure what the hell Migi is.
Super: Right well Migi is from an anime called Parasyte the Maxim, it's an alien that normally goes into peoples head and takes them over but instead gets limited to Shingi, the protagonists, right arm. Migi mean right arm in japanese so that's why he's called that.
Artomix: ... What the hell are some of these animes!?
Super: Ikr! I saw one where.. actually i don't want to scar you so i'll spare you the details.
Artomix: Anyway... let's move on to the next question. Have you ever collaborated with another author on a story? If so, what was it like?
Super: No i haven't collabed on a story although i've taken a request for one and the person kinda watched over and gave his thoughts and what he wanted to happen.
Artomix: And what are your thought on that kind of collaboration?
Super: It's alright as long as your creative directions aren't too different. You have to create an understanding of what you want the author to do and what they are capable of.
Artomix: Of course. Although I haven't collaborated in that style I did get some help in the past from others in 'Harmonic Heart' and 'Rose to my Nightmare'.
Super: Well okay then.
Artomix: We're halfway with the questionnaire, and this one might be a weird one. What is your preferred writing program?
Super: I've tried using others such as word but since i can only copy and paste around 2000 letters at a time i stuck with the regular Wattpad one.
Artomix: That's odd, it shouldn't have a limit when it comes to copy pasting.
Super: I think it's because of my phone
Artomix: Yeah, that's probably why.
Super: Yeah.
We're at the halfway point, and that means it's time for a musical break. You're Listening to 'Traveler's Song' By Aviators.

Artomix: Anyway, the next questing I have is, do you ask about opinions about your story? If so, what are their responds?
Super: At the end if each chapter i put "Lemme know what you think" and most the time it's positive which is just so heartwarming to see.
Artomix: Yeah, I know the feeling. Especially when I first started writing RWBY stories. Especially during 'Broken and Silent Gems'. A lot of people didn't know what to expect, but in the end, a lot of people loved it.
Super: I've read through that one and i really enjoyed it, didn't expect a silent hill and rwby crossover but as i said i enjoyed it.
Artomix: Yeah... I wanted to try to bring something to the RWBY community, and that Silent Hill crossover was the result of it. I still get some notifications for that story from time to time to this day.
Super: I do for my old ones too, even get people rarely asking for a sequel.
Artomix: Same here, but with another Silent Hill crossover. Funny part is, I never played any of the Silent Hill games, I only watched the movies.
Super: I've played silent hill 3 on the ps2. I remember beating up a horse, that was hung up, on a carosel until i died
Artomix: Anyway, onto the next question. Do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?
Super: I do try and be original but when sometimes i can't see myself getting into it so i delete the story.
Artomix: That's a shame. Do you remember some of the stories that you deleted in the past?
Super: There had been a couple ones with Blake that i just couldn't continue
Artomix: What was it about?
Super: Childhood friends but the reader had a curse on him, something like that.
Artomix: Huh, alright. It sounded interesting, but I can understand when you don't know what to do with a story anymore and you leave it.
Super: Yeah it wasn't that well received either.
Artomix: Sometimes a story need time to get discovered.
Super: Sometimes they do, and speaking of being discovered the first person who read my stories holds a special place in my heart. I don't know who they are but i thank them because they got me started to where i am today.
Artomix: They usually are to us when we just started with writing. Anyway, we're almost done with the serious questions here. About three left before some misc. questions.
What kind of research do you do, and how long do you spend researching before beginning a book?
Super: I don't do alot of researching, maybe names and terms that take me... 10 minutes tops.
Artomix: Alright, fair enough. I tend to improvise with my stories as well.
How many hours a day do you write?
Super: Hmm maybe three hours in total but it's spread out.
Artomix: Yeah, all my hours of writing time is very spread out as well. Anyway, the last question for 'author related' question is... What is the most difficult part of your artistic process?
Super: Finding motivation to write, because then i'll pump out a short, which take me longer cause i'm just sitting there slowly typing, half assed chapter.
Artomix: That's a first one, but I understand that one, yeah.
Super: It just sucks but that's how it it
Artomix: I know. Anyway, we're almost done with all the questions, so we can relax a bit. What's your favorite under-appreciated novel?
Super: Either "Bartlebee, the Scrivener" by Herman Melville or "I have no mouth, and i must scream" by Harlan Ellison.
Artomix: I actually know the second one in the game form, and that one is very creepy.
Super: Yeah it is but it's good.
Artomix: The next question might be a hard one to answer. What is your thoughts of the RWBY community?
Super: It's a double sided coin, there's the nice people who are welcoming and challenge your opinions respectfully but there's also the people who are like "FUCK U, IF U THINK VOLUME 4-6 IS GOOD THEN UR SPITTING ON MONTY'S GRAVE!" which is... a unique experience but it's like that with a lot of fandoms.
Artomix: *Sigh* Like I said in the past, they should be at least happy that the series is continuing after his death, but I do understand what you mean with the double sided coin.
Super: Yeah but what can you do except tough through it all and find the light at the end of the tunnel which are the accepting people.
Artomix: True, very true.
The next question I got is, what advice do you have for writers?
Super: Don't give up and what worked for me when first starting out was sticking to my first story and not creating new ones during it.
Artomix: I agree! I don't know how others can do that, but more power to them I suppose.
Super: I think it's just restricting yourself.
Artomix: Do you have any last questions for me?
Super: How did you find RWBY?
Artomix: From Wattpad, actually. The first thing that I read from RWBY was 'RWBY x Assassin! Male!Reade Crossover' By Shiranori. I started to read it out of curiosity and once I was done reading some of the chapters, I wanted to know more about this series.
Super: Interesting, for me after i watched the first three volumes i lost interest until i read a fanfic about it and it resparked my interest.
Artomix: That can help from time to time, yeah.
Do you have anymore questions for me?
Super: No, i don't.
Artomix: Alright, do you have any last words before this is over?
Super: You can fail at what you don't love, so you might as well do what love.
Artomix: Sadly accurate at how my interest is with my studies.
Super: Yeah... sadly
Artomix: XD Anyway, thank you for participating on this show of mine.
Super: Like i said, it's a pleasure.
