Welcome to 'From Words on Paper', where we get to know some of our favorite authors, and learm more from them beside what they create for the fandom.

Tonight on the show, we are joined by Slctexcen. An individual who writes a lot of 'Abused and Neglected' RWBY stories.  And we're honored that he could join us here, tonight.

Artomix: Frist of, I want to thank you for joining us. I want you to know that you're free to ask questions to me as well, and that you're not forced to answer a questions if you so wish.

Slctexcen: I'm grad to be here so let start you can ask me anything I don't mind

Artomix: Alright, the first question I always ask is, who are you? So why don't you talk a bit about yourself.

Slctexcen: Well everyone on Wattpad call me slc and I'm from Houston Texas and if you ever read any of my story you know that I'm a fan of rwby

Artomix: From what I've seen in your library, also the 'Abused and Neglected' Genre

Slctexcen: Yay most of the ideas I have go with that like my story part time rose it go's with that

Artomix: Alright. The next question is, does your name mean something special to you?

Slctexcen: Actually yes it actually the initials for my name and I became somewhat of a nickname so it stick

Artomix: Alright, simple enough. The next question is, how did you discover RWBY?

Slctexcen: It was on accident I was just watching some videos on YouTube then I accidentally clicked on the first episode of rwby then I became a fan

Artomix: Never though that could happen. I discovered it by one of stories here on Wattpad.

Slctexcen: Yeah most if my favorite shows and game I found on accident

Artomix: Each walk their own path, I guess. The next question I got is... have you ever written something before RWBY? If so, what is it about?

Slctexcen: Actually yes me and my friend try to write a fire emblem crossover story about me and his oc getting sent to the world of fire emblem but we canceled it because we could never finish it

Artomix: Writting takes a lot of time. Especially if it's your first time writting a story. I remember my first original story. It took about a year to finish it.

Slctexcen: Yep I have some story that are almost finish but I might rewrite them because I became somewhat better at writing then when I first started

Artomix: That tends to happen. Even I can see it when I write, especially in that first story. But if I can say something, why not try to finish that story first before you rewrite it?

Slctexcen: Well because I might decided to change something and it better beforehand like original for my first story dragon rose the reader was abused by ruby and her family except qrow but then I decided to change something around

Artomix: Anyway, the last question before we start the more 'author erlated' questions is, do you have a favorite author or favorite story?

Slctexcen: Actually I have two first my friend, kaiserguard01 and his story rwby persona a cat and a crow is one of my favorite and then the other is archfiend-dragon and his story the seventh dimension is also my favorite because of both of them I started writing on Wattpad

Artomix: You're the first who actually picked a favorite author here, that's new.

Alright, now we can start with the more author related questions. The first question is, what inspired you to write stories here on Wattpad? Or writting in general?

Slctexcen: I started writing just to pass the time but then I started liking it so then after I read some story on Wattpad I started writing on it

Artomix: Simple enough, I supose. I write becuase it's an outlet for me. To much imagination in my mind and I need to get it out there.

Anyway, how do you get inspired to write your stories?

Slctexcen: Well for some of my story It just randomly comes to

me when I would look for art like for my specter rose when I found that art I had the idea to make it and some i came up with just be watching or playing my favorite game tv shows or anime

Artomix: Alright. Have you ever colaborated with another author on a story? If so, what was it like?

If you're wondering how I get these questions on here so fast, I have a list written down.

Slctexcen:  Actually two author for my dragon rose story, a friend of mine name darkcraw96 he been helping me with that story and my friends Kaisergurad01 he would help me with some of my story and he would create ocs for them too.

And it was great darkclaw96 is a fire emblem fan like me he been helping me with some stuff for the story like the semblance's for some of the character and some stuff that going to happened

Artomix: It's quite a relieve to have people help with your story, isn't it?

Slctexcen: Yes it is I like that when I first started some authors could tell that it was my first time writing and the decided to help me

Artomix: I can understand that, I colaborated with RogueTheUndying (From Wattpad) and Nickel Senatore (From DeviantArt) with the story Harmonic Heart.

It helped quite a bit with comming up with plans for the chapters.

Slctexcen: Yay like Kaiserguard01 when I ask if he would like to make a oc for one of my story he dose it then his character because part of the story like for my tactician rose he made a hole cult and cult leader that warship the villain of the story

Artomix:Some people just got a nack (or however you write that) for that kind of things.

Anyway, the next question I got is, what is your prefered writting program?

Slctexcen: I really don't have one I just write on my phone, with the Wattpad app

Artomix: I'm really starting to think I'm the only one who use an external program to write my stories. Anyway, we're more or less at the halfway point of the list that I got. Do you wish to take a break?

Slctexcen:  Sure

Artomix: Alright, the next qquestion I have is... Do you ask about opinions about your story? If so, what are their responds?

Slctexcen: Well sometimes everyone loves them but sometimes some don't like them like one hated because it wasn't a harem story I always let everyone know I don't do harem in my story some time I will do it

Artomix: Harem is something I don't do either. Same counts for 'lemons'. I'm not sure how harems work in real life and I feel very uncomfortable to write lemons. Because I tecnically roleplay with myself for my story.

Slctexcen: Yeah I do the same that why I always do reader story well except the robin story thaf just my version of robin from fire emblem

Artomix: Alright, the next question I got is, do you try more to be original or to deliver to readers what they want?

Slctexcen: I try to be original and I have a question for you what was your favorite story that you made

Artomix: From the stories that I wrote on Wattpad or even before that?

Slctexcen: Anyone it doesn't matter to me it witch is your favorite

Artomix:That's a hard question... The story that I'm the most proud of that I wrote was my first story that I ever wrote called 'The Dark Side of the Light', but I wouldn't say that it's my favorite.

I guess the favorite one is 'Broken and Silent Gems', becuase it made me happy to see how many people like that story. Even today, I still get notifications from that story every so often.And what about you? What is your favorite story you made?

Slctexcen: For me my favorite story that I wrote is the fangire king became I always want to do a kamen rider story and it was the first story that I asked for oc and had help with

Artomix: The next I got is... How did publishing your first book change your process of writing?

Slctexcen: Well when I first book was published I didn't know what I was doing but after I got better I remember I had plans for a crossover with three of my story but I cancelled it because it was going to be very difficult

Artomix: It takes time to write. If it takes a week to write, so be it. But if it takes a month to write and you're happy with the result, that I think it would be worth it

Slctexcen: Yeah the difficult part was the character the idea was some villain was manipulating everything that happened in there story it was going to hard because it was going to have the main character but each of the name were y/n

Artomix: Alright. We're almost done with the 'author related' questions, and the list itself.

The next question I got is, what kind of research do you do, and how long do you spend researching before beginning a book?

Slctexcen:  Well I do a little research on the character but sometimes I just remember like for my part time rose story I remember everything about the character because I see the anime a couple of times

Artomix: At least you got some things figured out. I tend to improvice quite a bit.

Slctexcen: Some time I do to

Artomix: Really? What would be a good example from your stories?

Slctexcen: Well for my oc story shadow wolf some of my favorite character from anime and tv show appears and some things I just make up like Walter from hellsing appears and gave my oc ghostride motorcycle and no my oc doesn't transform into ghosts rider

Artomix: Ah... He's my favorite Anti-hero. But I get your point.

The next question is, how many hours a day do you write?

Slctexcen: Sometimes a hour or two sometimes I just write a hole day if I don't have nothing to do

Artomix: Similar to me then. Although, I still tend to multitask a lot during that. Like right now, I'm doing the interview with you, reading a story on the side and every so often changing it to Youtube.

You can probably image how my clases went with that habit of mine... Ironically enough, every so often I needed to help my classmate to explain it again, while my attention was with other things

Slctexcen:  Wow and my friend see I Multitask right now I'm answering your questions .watch TV and reading stories

Artomix: XD

Anyway, the last question for the 'Aurthor related' questions is, what is the most difficult part of your artistic process?

Slctexcen: When I can't think of nothing I had to cancel four of my story because I didn't know what to do next and when you try to make sure you don't mess up something that has happened to me a lot but I don't mind

Artomix: At least you know that you can improve on that for the future, right?

Slctexcen: Yes and when I mess up on something people in the comments let me know then I Fix it I remember for my fnaf story I accidentally put the reader daughter age at six but that would mean him and Blake had a daughter at 12 so I fix to what it was supposed to be

Artomix: That's a big difference. At least they are nice enough to check it.

Anyway, we can calm down with the serious questions. The next one I got on the list is, what's your favorite under-appreciated novel?

Slctexcen: It has to be who censored roger rabbit ever think that the movie was first nope it original a book and it pretty good it different from the movie

Artomix: I never knew there was a book about the movie. Jeez, that brings back some memories.

Slctexcen: A lot of people don't know that it a book funny thing it was made by the same guy how wrote the script for the movie funny thing he thought the movie was better so he remade it with the plot of the movie

Artomix: Good for him. It was quite advanced at the time. And a pain to animate it probably.

Anyway, the next question I got is, what is your thoughts of the RWBY community?

Slctexcen:  It amazing the fan are great and some of there fanfics are great one of them is my favorite it called Ozpin little rose it is about qrow is ruby father and Ozpin is ruby grandfather and the stuff the other did for that story was funny the author made it that ruby and Weiss are cousins because in the story summer is the second cousin of Weiss father also in there he not a asshole he actually a nice guy in the story they say that he paid for summer funeral

Artomix: I might need to check that story out in the future. Anyway, do you have any tips for the rest of the public?

Slctexcen: Yes I do when you can't think of nothing don't give up just wait and try to think again that always work for me

Artomix: I can agree with that. I took a bit of a breather from 'The Rose to my Nightmare' and worked on 'True Colors'. Now I got the story planed out so I can work on that soon enough.

Anyway, do you have any questions for me?

Slctexcen: Before we go I have a question for you how did you come up with your story

Artomix: Which one?

Slctexcen: The rose to my nightmare

Artomix: Well, it was similar to process of elimination. I wanted to try and write a story of specific categories, like cheater genre with 'Harmonic Heart' or crossover like 'Broken and Silent Gems'. I wanted to try an abused story and practice a bit with the more darker themed story.

I also had an idea where someone could like a monster or your worst nightmare could be someone very close to you. That was one of the ideas for an original story, but I let the reader choose what story they wish to read thorugh a stawpole.Anymore questions?
