Unbreakable

The couple were smiling gently at each other, cuddling on the couch as the bidders watch with glares or grins. "Well, I smell a family and a wedding around the corner." Baba teases, and Eisuke who was once glaring at them smirks and of course joins in.

"With that attitude, it might as well be tomorrow." he pokes with a grin. "Well, we wouldn't mind that, now would we, Kira?"

"Nope," she replies, looking up to the honey orbs of her boyfriend. "Impossible..." Mamoru comments from the side, shaking his head at the couple. The bidders began chatting, when a phone rings loudly and Kira pulls out hers. "What the... Why is..."

She shakes her head with furrowed brows and pulls away from Ota. "Where're you going?" he asks. "Call from my dad, I'll tell you if he needs you, Sor." she turns to her brother, who nods. "Hello? Father." she says respectfully as she exits the room, phone to her ear.

She soon comes back with an excited grin. "What did father say?" Soryu questions as soon as she walks in. "He offered me a job but..." "But what?"

"He gave me a job to assassinate someone, and get a week training with the Bell Crickets with Simon Lee's daughter, Mei Ling. Remember her, Soryu? But I have to travel over to Hong Kong for that." she grins, waving her phone.

"That's great, are you going to go?" Eisuke chimes in with the question. "Well... I have to weigh my options here. First of all, it's a 40 million payment, next, Simon is going to train me personally. And I haven't visited Hong Kong before."

"Then you should go. Ota, you're okay with that right?" Baba turns to his best friend, who nods hesitantly. "Thank you. I need to call dad and Simon to let them know I accept."

That night, Ota and Kira were in the artist's suite, laying in the bed in each other's arms. "So did you call them to let them know?" the blonde asked, stroking his girlfriend's hair. "Yeah... Hey, Ota?"

"Mm?"

"Are you really okay with me leaving?" "Well I admit I don't like the sound of it, but it's once in a lifetime... So as long as you're happy, I'll let it go."

"Thanks, Ota." With a kiss to his forehead, the pair fall asleep in each other's arms.

The next morning, Ota wakes up to an empty side of the bed, Kira's side was cold now. Squinting his eyes, he spots his girlfriend across the room, changing. Deciding to prank her, Ota picks up a pillow, hurling it at his girlfriend.

An adorable squeal tears through her lips as the cold pillow hits her bare back. "What the hell, Ota?" she turns around with a playful glare. "You left with no morning kiss, Koro." he chides, sticking out his tongue. Kira walks over to her boyfriend and leans down, pressing a kiss on his lips. "Happy?"

"Very." the artist tugs the girl down on his lap, nuzzling his face in her neck. "Let's go. We need to get some breakfast and I need to head over to my music studio. Might as well practice."

The couple rode over to Kira's studio, and as soon as Kira entered, she dragged Ota to the piano. "I composed a new song. I have the lyrics and the music, but I still need to play the piano with it... It's a duet. Would you like to join me?"

"Hm, might as well give it a try." the artist shrugs. Kira presents a remote, proceeding to hit a button on it and speakers attached to the walls of the room began playing soft music. "You'll get the hang of the tune." she mutters and leans on her boyfriend's shoulder, beginning to play the piano.

Her fingers stroke the keys gracefully with no mistakes, playing a soft melody. Their voices blend together perfectly, their duet like those of professional singers.

After the small duet, they sat beside each other on the piano as Kira's hands falls to her sides, her head still resting on Ota's shoulder. "You were great." she whispers, snuggling up to the blonde. "Only the best for you." he grins cheekily, patting her head.

"And that's why I love you."

Two weeks passed and it was time for Kira to leave for Hong Kong. She had spent her remaining time with the bidders, with her brother Soryu, and of course, her beloved Ota.

They were at the airport, waiting for Kira's private jet to get ready. (What else would you expect?)

"I'll see you guys soon, I'll try to bring back some stuff for y'all." she grins, gathering all the bidders into a hug. "Good luck, sis. You better do me proud." Soryu smirked teasingly at his little sister who grins in return. "Of course, who do you think I am?"

"I swear... I sometimes think the kid is Eisuke's lil' sister." Mamoru rumbles from the side but Kira only smiles at him. "I'll miss you too, Mamo." The detective turns away in a huff, but there was a bit of pink dusted on the man's cheeks.

"Miss Satomi, the plane is ready for you." a male flight attendant speaking in fluent English walks up to the author, smiling politely as he takes her bags.

"Thank you, Brad." Kira replies in smooth English, and with a British accent to boot. "You can speak English, kid?" Mamoru interjects with a shocked face.

"Mamo, I'm a celebrity author who travels all over the world, and since I'm in the romance category, I travel to Paris and places like that. I traveled for scenery for the covers as well, meaning America, Canada, Europe and many other countries, not just English speaking ones."

"I also speak fluent French, Chinese, Greek, Filipino, Dutch, and Spanish."

"Man, Soryu. That's definitely your sister." Baba chuckles. "Of course she is." Soryu grins evilly, tugging Kira close to him. "Guys, I need to go."

"Ms. Satomi, I apologize but we'll be late if you keep speaking to these gentlemen." Brad conveys in fluent English.

"Alright, I'm sorry. I'll see you guys in one month." with a hug and a peck to the cheek for Soryu, a hug to the bidders, and a chaste kiss to Ota, Kira rushes off. Before she was gone from their sight, she smirked over her shoulder and sent them a quick wink.

But as she turned around once more, stepping into the plane, a tear rolls down her cheek.

"Remember Kira, goodbye isn't forever...

It simply means  'I'll miss you, until we meet again."
