I breathe out. My heart was heavy cause i'm scared and i dont know what to do next.

"Okay God, you in this with me right? Where we going after this ? Whats next?"

"I know selling aint the legal way so we not touching those grounds again. I lost my job , so what do we do now"

"Yeah yeah the only reason I'm trusting you is because you already know whats about to happen"

"And because I'm your child that mean is going be for my good. But it dont change the fact that I'm scared."
I breathed out and passed a hand on my face.

"I just wanna make sure my family straight. Im trying man. Its not easy getting a legal job around hea' you gotta help me cause I need you"

I regulated my breathing. I just wanted to get it over with. I pulled into the parking lot. I head straight up to his office and knocked waiting patiently for him to tell me to come in.

"Aaah August just the man i wanted to see, have a seat" he gestured at the chair for me to sit. So I did.

"Now i think you're wondering why did he call me here or better yet why did he fire me ?" He pretended to think.

"Listen man I aint got time for jokes , if this aint serious lemme know I got mouths to feed and a new job to look for thanks to you "

He nodded his head " I understa-"

I shook my head cutting him off real quick. "Nah , you dont . You dont know what its like to be living on the streets man. You dont know what its like not knowing when ya next meal coming in for the day. You aint knkw how it feel to lose a brother in the streets, I'm out here for once tryna do the right thing because i feel like things are getting better but you shut me down man.. and now again i dont know what i'mma do next " I ranted off.

For some reason he just pissed me off. The fact that he fired me , I'm just scared we gone go right back to square one.

"August , the reason I fired you was because you were snooping through some producers laptop and stealing beats and using em" he looked at me with a serious face.

"That aint tolerated here , that producer wants you to pay him back" he stood straight with his hands in his pocket. What the hell!
"How I'm going pay him back ion got no job ?!"

"Well..-" he was cutt off when Dj Khaled walked in. "How about you work for me then? You may have stolen my beats man but you made hits outta em too. I'd love to produce music for you. What do you say man?"

I'm still stuck at the fact that this man walked in here.
I'm still registering that he wants to sign me to his label.

"How much I'm getting paid a month?" They all started laughing.

"They aint have to do my brother Joseph like that " Dennis explained. He was on this story again. I mentally rolled my eyes. While Becca physically did it.

"They faked the man death to his father and sold him ?! Nah " he shook his head.

"That's what I'm trying to explain you now all of that happen and now look where is he ?" I tried reasoning.

"Soo that not the point , how he forgive them after all they did? I would never do that"
I breathe out.

"I understand but sometimes you gotta let it go let it goooo " i started singing instead and got back on track.

"not just for them but for you. So you can just have peace in your life instead of always hating someone or not being able to stand in their presence its alot of work, its holding you back from a great blessing too"
He looked like  he wanted to argue but he let it go. Thank you Jesus.

I started to laugh because I already knew where this was gonna go.

We busted out laughing. "Well because of that he got a bunch of children from different women by the way but none of them were the one he actually wanted , when he did though he got joseph , thats why he loved him so much"

I put on my dreamy eyes "David" uggh I love David. He is soo brave. And the people made him to be. They made him sound fine as hell.

I was going to reply but i hear a door outside slam shut. Before i even got up to check who it was the front door burst open.

"Mya I gotta tell you somethin" those words scared the hell outta me especially with the way he was already looking at me.

"Man if you goin say something stupid tell me first " Dennis said.

"Wassup" i was confused as hell.

"I .. I.. uhm ..I got fired " Relief. I breathe out.
"August! Damn i thought it was something really bad "

"Right! Got my heart stopping and shit- i mean ish " when he caught himself he covered his mouth and corrected it.

"What so me losing my job aint bad ?" He said confused. "It is baby ,just that I thought it was life or death or you know .." not tryna spell out that he broke up with me before.

"Noo , not even close man" he chuckled.

"Well anyway , you can find a new one I'll help"  I suggested.

"Mya, hurry up before your boyfriend goes into hysterics . He bout to perform and he dont got his tranquilizer there "  I rolled my eyes. I finished my last touch on my eye and I was out.

He was suppose to sing one of his songs tonight at a club. Yeah at a club.

I wasnt a fan of clubs but i was gonna support my baby. As soon as we pulled up I was lucky because they just mention his name.
While he walked out i tried going to the back cause i didnt wanna be one of those fan girls who yelling at the front of the stage. Not my style.

I couldnt find rebecca to tell her am going come back so i sent her a message.

We changed and got comfortable on the couch. It was late so everyone was asleep especially the kids.

He was chillin on the couch while me on the other hand was putting the frozen dvd in.

"What the hell is that ?" I whip around so fast i had to check if i didnt break my neck.

"Are you serious?" My mouth opened in shock.

"Why are you so surprised?"he asked.

"Because you havent lived yet if you didnt see this movie" he shook his head. "You lucky you cute cause i wouldnt be with you if you didnt watch this movie"

It was his turn for his mouth to be open as he feign hurt.

I laughed before joining him on the couch.

When she told her sister about the engagement i keep hearing him mumble "some bull , how she going marry somebody she just met she aint even know him so well" he mumbled

"This movie is already dumb" he was about to get up. "Lie back down and enjoy the movie boy"

"She doesnt know what love is August . She grew up alone remember and her sister is planning to close back the gates so thats why she made that decision so fast and so crazy"
He pursed his lips and shook his head.

"Well you were sleep so we didnt want ta wake you up" August replied.

"Yall could've wake me up" she rolled her eyes.

"Why yall watchin this and not Moana?"

"Because yo uncle never watched frozen before" she had the same reaction i had.

"Are you serious?"  She looked at him with a frown. August straight faced all of us.

She smiled before laying down too"maybe thats why you always angry all the time" she said and I bust out laughing. "Shut up kay"

I was falling asleep on August when suddenly he jumped up.

"I knew this was too good to be true!! I swear he was good but something told me nah nah something wrong here!! Damn. She must feel dumb now . " he was so into he aint even realized he just woke me up.

But i just left him alone and mumbled a yeah because i knew he was going love it.

When he kissed my forehead thats when i knocked out.
