Mya pov

I could smell that liquor coming from him. He pulled me into the hall.

"What the hell you doin in ...in -" i looked at myself and back at him. "In what ?"

"In that" he pointed at my shorts.
"Whats the problem ? Its not like my butt is hanging out is it ?!" I exclaimed

"Do i look like i care ? I dont give a damn , and where the hell is your ring ?!"

"Its here" i showed him it on the other hand.
He breathe in tryin to hold down his anger.

"Dont play smart Mya , why isnt it on your ring finger ?"

I lounged around "I mean its for my image, I got fans too ya feel me . They wanna see a fine young single woman. That way I get more followers on instagram" I played smart. I dont care. I hope he get it now.

"Are you - uugghh my God" he groaned . It looked as if he was getting angrier.

"Mya this is my job!!! This is how my money comes in . This aint no joke" he yelled.

"You can do your job without lying and telling people your single!!"

"Oh my goosh"

"If i had only knew that being married to you was gonna be this difficult!"

"Ever since you came here all you did was complain complain and complain!"

"I should just do as if i aint got no wife if you like this now"

"You should've just stayed ya ass in naw'leans" After he finished i had a ball of tears stuck in my throat.

"Maybe i should go " i shrugged and walked off.

"Mya...wait" i hear him running after me. I was already by the door so i just opened it . He grabbed my upper arm again.

I forced my hand out his grip"dont touch me" some tears fell out my eyes but i was too busy tryna fight him to cry since he kept trying to grab me.

"Wait .. wait I'm sorry " he tried to say.
"Let me go !" I whined pushing him away from me because he kept pulling me in by my waist.

"Let me goo august i'm giving you what you want!!" I pushed him , he had a good grip on me waist . I thought his skinny behind wasnt that strong.

"Thats not what i want bae , i just said it out of anger, I'm sorry ma" i calmed down.

"Well I'm leaving out of hurt and anger"

"I'm sorry ma, i'm sorry, let me make it up to you" i turned my face to the side to avoid watchin his face.

"Let me go August "

"Naw ma please dont go , i swear i didnt mean to say that"

"Are you serious ? Because to me it sounds like it'd be so much more fun if i wasnt here"

"I'm sorry ma , please dont go " he dropped his head in my neck and hugged me.

I waited a while before actually replying.

"Okay"

He pulled back and looked at me confused "Okay?"

"Yeah okay" i said emotionless.

" stop playing ma"

"I'm serious , okay" i shrugged.
He still looked unsure and unwrapped his arms from me. He pushed open the door so i can walk back in.

"Ma , I'm really sorry . I promise ama make it up to you " he was talking but i walked in the room and slammed the door shut. I made sure to lock it too.

I then let my tears flow. I should have stayed home. Facetiming him would have been okay. Calling as well. Coming down was a bad choice.

All because the stupid love and fear of losing him made me come down.

I chose to ignore him and stayed locked up in the room all night and morning.

When i woke up and check to see if August is next to me i remembered that i was hurt by his words.

So ignoring him was still in effect. I see a card infront of the door.

I made breakfast.
All you gotta do is open the do'

I sighed and went about my business in the bathroom. I found my phone and called becca up.

"Hey mamas how are you ?"

"Hii I'm alright i guess"

"You and August had it out huh? I saw it in his eyes nigga was mad as hell"

I chuckled "yeah he was , he said some pretty hurtful things too . So i need you to come and comfort me " i joked.

"On my way"

" yeah bring Dennis too for August sake"

"I would have to bring him anyway, since he wont let me go nowhere without him" i could sense her rolling her eyes.

I laughed "bruh Aight see you"

"Yaas hunny"

I waited for her. I was actually contemplatin opening the door. But i wasnt ready to face him.

I really wasnt. What he said was pretty hurtful. Im only giving him what he wants . He doesnt want me here.

So I'll just do as if i aint here.

"Mya" I heard him from the other side of the door.

"You need to eat mama" I ignored him.

I wanted to answer but i just keep gettin flashbacks of what he said.

I heard him sigh amd walked away.

I curled myself up in the sheets and waited for Rebecca.

On the brink of fallin asleep is when i hear Becca yelling.

"Rebecca's here!" She yelled.
"I'm not talking to you i only came for Mya" i hear her footsteps coming towards the door.

She knocked "babe" i got up to unlock it.

"Heyy " she barged in. "Boo i know you mad at him but this nigga made chocolate chip pancakes" she fake cried.

She was so extra at times.
"If you dont want it say the word because regardless I'm taking some"

"I'm gonna eat it. I just didnt wanna see him"

"What happened tho?"

I picked up the piece of paper on the plate

I dropped the paper on the bed and eat the pancakes. I can be mad but a girl still gotta eat.

Chocolate chip pancakes? Nobody can just turn that down.

"Well he got angry like i expected him too. At the end of it tho he ended up saying that he should do as if he doesnt have a wife since all i do is complain complain complain " I see her face drop and her fist rise.

"He even said and i quote "you should've just stayed ya ass in naw'leans" unquote "

I dropped my head so she wont see my hurt. "Well yeah so i was gonna take my leave but he wouldnt let me and he just kept apologizing"

"Babe , he was waaaay out of line . I dont even know what to say. Thats kinda harsh"

"Damn" she mumbled.
"Look mamas how about we go to the beach, that way we get to wash off this hurt and pain. Beach is the cure "

"Beach is a piss pot" she busted out laughing. "Its truee everybody that goes to the beach pee's in it"

"Girl lets go , you still got the bathing suites the day we went out with everybody" i nodded.

"Alriiiight lets get started"
She started diggin in my clothes to find the bathing suites.

Five minutes later..

"Lets bounce chica" we posed quick for a selfie.

Thank God the beach was private so it wouldnt have much people there.

When we head out i didnt bother looking nowhere for nobody.

"We going to the beach" was all becca said before we walked out.

When we reached it was nice and peaceful. Like super nice. I really loved it.

It was sooo peaceful.

"Yaaass hunny the boys looking real fine today" i playfully pushed her.

"Stop it before Dennis hear you and start beating up people children for no reason"

We both pulled our shirts off. We heard whistles and when we turned to see who it was.

It was the boys ofcourse. I mentally rolled my eyes. I ignored them and walked towards the sea.

Becca was right behind me. "Why they always gotta follow us everywhere ? Damn" i chuckled.

"Protectiveness i guess" i shrugged.

When we got comfortable in the water we swam towards the raft that was in the water .

"C'mon Mya lets hold a concert"
Make me and mold me shape me to be what you want me to be .

August and Dennis starting swimming towards us. I rolled my eyes.

But when i saw who else was here i got excited. "Chrrriiiiiss!!"

"Hey ma , how are you ?"

"I'm awesome ofcourse" i flipped my wet hair.

"Ah ah ah no boys allowed " becca singed.

"Chris you too no boys allowed" i shooed him. I could sense August watching me.

"Lucky for you i am a man" He moved my arm and came up regardless. So me and rebecca were in attack mode.
"Same goes for me" I heard August say before coming up.
When Chris stood up and saw us "shoot whats going on here?"

"You invaded our territory"

Becca pushed him back in the water "ahh hell no , how yall gon do my boy like that ?" Dennis got on the raft trying to push us off. August pushed me off after. Dennis got becca but at the time i got back on so when he did i pushed him off after and started laughing.

But i didnt notice Chris was back on so he pushed me off. By then August Chris and Dennis were on the raft.

"Yass " chris said "c'mon lets do our dance"

"If your chick come close to me she aint goin where she pose to be" they singed and danced.

We got on it real quick but it was 2 against 3 so that didnt work.
"Soldiers we have attackers boardin ship" chris said and threw becca off and August threw me off .

I low key didnt want August to think i forgave him so when they threw us off we swam back to shore.

When we got out my body was so damn tired from all that swimming. Just when i was walkin the volleyball landed right next to my foot.

So i took it and instead of throwing it i decided to kick it instead. What i didnt expect to happen was for the ball to hit the fine young man smack dab in the face.

I covered my mouth in shock. I could hear Chris and em laughin on the raft.

I ran towards him and fall on knees by him "heyy i am so so sorry i didnt expect to hit you, i just didnt want yall to come all the way over here and i cant throw far-" he waved me off.
"I'm alright its fine, my face hurts though i aint going lie about that one" we both chuckled.

"Good thing we're by the beach . Maybe the sea water can bring down the healing" just then somebody came with an ice pack.

I took it and rested it on his eye. "Well atleast the good thing out of it is that i get to meet a beautiful woman right ?"he flirted.

"Woow lol right ,a married one at that"

"Damn , but still it doesnt change the fact that you're beautiful"

I smiled and shook my head. I have a feeling August is watchin and the last thing i need is another argument.

"So you're good right I'm about to head back to my friends?" He nodded.

"Thanks for checking up on me "

As soon as i stood up and turned i bumped into August. Chris and Dennis beside him.

"Everything alright around here?" August asked. I almost rolled my eyes.

"Everythings been alright"

"I dont see why you gotta be all smiley with him tho"

"He was being nice , are you forgetting that you dont actually want me here ? Or maybe that you dont want me to be your wife? Does it not ring a bell?" He frowned instantly. "Ma i didnt mean that it was said out of ang-"

"Save it August" i walked passed him and towards becca. I wanted to lock myself back up in the room.

I guess when they saw us leaving they decided to leave too.

We took seperate elevators thank God.

Before i locked myself up i wanted to eat. I was hungry.

So as soon as i entered I see that august already cooked spaghetti and meatball. God bless his hands . I warmed up the food for both of us .

"Ayyee whea mines i'm hungry too and i know becca dont share" Dennis said becca waved him off and rolled her eyes.

"I want tooo , i know that August throw down in that kitchen" Chris said.

Talk about extra work. "Me three" i heard August say walking into the hall and turning the tv on.

I dished out for everyone and we sat by the table and ate.

"Aye man you goin to the movie premier thing?" Chris asked August. What premier tho?

"Yeah mona making me go said it was gon be a good look for the fans to see me back on my feet"

"Who you gon go with ?"

"Mona told me she was tryna make me go with Angie"

"Ugh damn she annoying "

"I know bruh"

"Cant you chose yo own date ?"

"Then I would have to defy mona"

Chris shrugged "so whats the problem?"

August just laughed. "Aye gimme some " he attempted to take out of her plate. She smacked his hand "stop it Augusta"

"Mya what you think i should do?" Surprised he even asked me.

I shrugged "whatever you please August" i stood up and put my plate to wash.

"If yall would excuse me. I am tired as hell . Worn out from the beach and that food there filled my tummy. I need to rest." I hugged everyone bye bye.

I showered and hopped in the bed. I was curled up under my covers.

My big mistake was that i left the door unlocked.

I heard him took a shower. My eyes were dead tired from the sea water so i didnt bother open em.

I felt the bed dip and i just he was gonna touch me .
"I promise ama make it up to you , I promise I'll show how sorry i am, just give me a chance" he kissed my shoulder.

"I love you mama" he rubbed my arm before leaving.

The next day when i woke up i was feeeling good . Ion know why. I just woke up in a good mood.

I went to brush my teeth. When i finished I stood by the door and placed my ear on the door to see if i hear any movements. If i walked out August had to not be home. So when i didnt hear any movement i opened the door.

When i walked out you wont believe me but this nigga went all out.

There was a great buffet going on here, meanwhile there were plenty of heart shaped balloons. Some said i love you and others were just plain.

Then i saw the card on the table.

Off to work .
