Mya's POV

"Titi's baby" Rebecca cooed to my now 2 month year old Bri.

Bri bottom lip poked out and began crying. "Mya! you making Bri cry!"

"Chillout na" August warned Rebecca as he rubbed my shoulder. I was trying but this was so hard. Rebecca held Bri "Mya, she is going to be fine, just go before you miss your flight!"

I was in full momma mode, i was gonna be leaving my baby for a whole 5 days. We haven't been separated for more than a few hours that's it but a WHOLE 5 DAYS?

"August what if we take the baby with us?" Rebecca started shaking her head "No ma'am! your counselor said and i quote, "The both of you need to spend time with each other and date each other again" You cant do that with Bri there, she's only going to be the very excuse you use to interrupt that time, so goodbye!" Rebecca said half calm and half aggressive. She turned back to look at Dennis. Once they caught eye contact he starts coming towards us.

"Come on now, we know how to do everything!" Dennis said as he was pushing us out the door. "Bathe the baby, diapers go under and over, feed the baby every 3 hours, lukewarm not hot, burp the baby don't leave baby unattended...unless I'm kissing my lady" My eyes popped open, and i quickly turned to him "Dennis she was almost out the door!" He began cackling, then when he looked at august shaking his head at him and he stopped laughing "it was a joke guys" i frowned but August pulled me closer. "Come on ma, he just teasing"

"Make sure yall pick up when we call!"

"That's if me and Becca aren't busy" I was about to go for him but August held me before he ran back in and shut the door.

August chuckled " She'll be alright" he said as he kissed my forehead. He grabbed my hand and we got in the car with all our luggage.

As we're riding to the airport I turned to him and asked him "So are you gonna tell me where we're going now?"

"Hmmm... what I will tell you is that we're going to more than one place" I was definitely surprised by his answer.

"Don't think about it too much"

"Ooohhh we're home!" I yelled.
"That's right, home sweet home" I heard August say.

"I know we've had a lot of bad memories here but this is where everything started" August said staring into my eyes. I stretched up to kiss him on the cheek.
"Now come on, we got places to be and people to see"

"Alright, where we going first?"

Before you knew it we pulled up at August's momma house.
As we were approaching the door I hear alot of yelling.
"Noonie, if you hit me on mo time .. ou I swea you get on my last nerve"

"I didn't even hit you for real, you just a puss-"
"Noonie!! Don't you finish that word in my house!" Mama yelled.
Me and august looked at each other in a little disbelief. We hear footsteps and then the door open Noonie stepped outside and yelled "pussycat!"

I did a dramatic intake of breath "noonie , now we raised you better than that" I said. She turned around, and in shock she covered her mouth once she saw us. "See now uncle gotta put you on a time out" August said shaking his head laughing lightly. "Auntie Myaaaa!!!" She yelled before running to hug me.
"Oh wow unc a lil hurt Noonie " August said with his hand on his heart. Before you know it we heard more footsteps running towards us. Kay Kay came running to hug us and as soon as she stepped back "where's the baby?"
"We left her home with auntie Rebecca and uncle Dennis. She screwed up her face "and you trust them with her?" That made me straighten up my back a lil "uhm" now I'm thinking was that a right move.

"Ahh hey, they got this don't be like that, and be nicer to Noonie"
"It's her! She keeps on bothering me" she complained.
"Nuh uh! You just never want to play with me!" She yelled back.
Chay sighed and walked towards us "Chile, that ain't none of my business" she said before hugging me and August. While the two were still arguing mama came out "Enough! everybody come on inside!"
Lucky for us we came just when mama finished cooking.

"We came right on time!" I said as I walked into the kitchen. I went to hug mama. "Hey beautiful, how are you?" 
"I'm good, trying not to be too nervous about leaving my baby"
"Aww baby, she'll be fine. I'm sure Rebecca will take care of her like that's her own baby" she said as she briefly touched my chin.
"And! I'm going to make sure we have a great few days so that you won't overthink too much" August came up behind me and kissed my cheek before going to hug his mama "wassup mama"
"Hey baby, grab a plate for your wife and let's go eat"

August POV

We ate and the kids just kept fussing with one another and then it would later turn into giggles and I couldn't help but think that that's how siblings behave with each other.
We fight but we laugh later.

As I was sitting on the couch watching tv, I can hear Mya laughing with Noonie and chay.

Kay Kay has been by my side since I got here and wouldn't let me leave her sight. If I did it made her uncomfortable and I picked up on it.
"Kay Kay, you missed me or sumn?" She looked up from the tv and her face was a little sad. She nodded. I picked her up and sat her on my lap.
"What's wrong?"
Her eyes started glistening and she covered her face. Now I was worried.
I tried to pull her hands to see her face "what's wrong baybeh?"
"I miss my daddy, and you remind me of him" that done made me tore up a lil inside. I don't like to see my nieces in pain because I feel it for them too. Sometimes I forget that I lost a brother but they lost their father too. She wiped her face with her shirt and I pulled her in for a hug.
"I miss him too" I kissed the side of her head as she rested her head on my shoulder.
"Bri is so lucky to have you"
I feel my shirt beginning to get wet from her tears and I knew she was having that kind of a day.

Mya stepped in the room an hour later and dropped in the chair next to me. "I've finally been released"
"You ready to bounce?" I asked her, she looked tired and I was too not going to lie. She nodded and i puckered up my lips so she could kiss me which she did.
Kay Kay was knocked out in my arms. "Can you imagine one day Bri is going to be like this?" She said she rubbed Kay Kay's  back.

"You're a good dad August, I always knew you would be by the way you take care of your nieces"  I looked at her with total love and admiration. "Let me go ahead and put Kay Kay to bed and get you out of here because the way you looking at me right now" I smirked. Trying to start sumn and she doing a pretty good job. She started laughing but I was so serious.

After telling everyone goodbye we hopped in the car and made our way to the hotel. The ride there Mya had this look in her eye every time she looked at me and I haven't felt this way in a long time. I feel like a teenager in love or something.
We were singing love songs the whole ride home and I felt like this was the start to rekindling the passion and love in our relationship.

"Now Mya, you got 1 hour to shower, dress and do your makeup because we got a dinner date at 8 okay?" I said as soon as I walked into the kitchen. She had already made her way into the bathroom. "So that means we can use half the hour getting busy and the other half getting cleaned?"
I almost spit my juice out, when I turned around my wife was in her Victoria's Secret and man I almost cancelled our dinner.
But I made a sworn commitment that we were gonna spend time together to rebuild our relationship. We just might be late.

We were on our way to this place and our hands locked with one another. She looked beautiful as always and I couldn't help but feel so happy being with my baby. All this just made me so happy and it made me think how much I missed out on. Like I really scored with Mya, she's literally everything a man could ask for.

When we reached I see her smile go up high "I'm just trying to take you down memory lane"
I had rented out that same place but this time it wasn't no set up for a rival or nothing it was gone just be me and my baby.

I had the place decked out in some nice decor and lots of flowers and rose petals on the floor.
The table was set and everything was ready at her command. I had a dj in the corner. I had some singers come out to entertain us. I had Ciara come sing for us and I made sure have a photographer so that my baby can take all the pictures she wanted.
"August, I love this" she said, she turned around and kissed me. "Now, not too much now. I spent good money in this, we are not leaving early for round 2 okay?" She busted out laughing "I'm just grateful for all this."
"Thank you for talking me into this, I haven't felt like this in a minute"
"That's my fault, and I won't let that happen again"
"I want to be your dream, not your worst nightmare. You a good woman Mya and you deserve the best of the best and I'm going to make sure that's what you get from me" I said as I looked into her eyes.  I just wanted her to know that I am committed to her, to God and to this marriage.

We ate this good food and the whole time Mya talking bout some "I'm going to beat you in dance revolution" nonsense.
The dj done turned on my song so I drowned out her cappin and started singing my song. I got up and asked her to dance with me.

"Sunny days, everybody loves them, tell me, baby, Can you stand the rain?
Storms will come
This we know for sure but tell me  Can you stand the rain? , Can you stand the rain?"

"Baby" Mya looked up at me "what you need mama?"
"You ready? Cause I'm ready to beat you in dance revolution" I sighed dramatically "okay, let's see all this trash talking you been doing all night na"
She done pulled me over to play this game. I just want her to be happy. She been through a lot which was partially my fault and I think that her smile right now is worth so much and I'm glad I could bring it out.

She basically spent the night laughing at my dance moves but it's aight we tied tho.
After the third time I gave in and I let her win. A nigga was tired and she kept choosing fast songs. I know she did that on purpose.
We had a few days to go but I knew we were off to a great start.
