Mya POV

"You got about thirty seconds to explain yourself before I shut this door in ya face " August said.

"Should've done it as you seen her" Becca mumbled.

"I didn't come to see you-"

"Oh well I can't help you then sawry" half way into shutting the door August pulled back when my father answered " actually I invited her over"

We all looked at him like he was crazy "daddy.." I looked at him hurt . I felt betrayed.
Why would he do that ? Especially after what she had done? The trauma I had. The pain ? The hurt ?

"Nah , sir with all due respect , I don't appreciate you inviting people we don't associate with over to our house. ESPECIALLY HER or did you forget all the shit she done did to Mya ? I ain't care if her excuse is drugs or whatever . We don't do that bullshit around here"

"Now August I totally understand where you coming from but this is still her mom . I'm hoping just as you took time to forgive me you'd do the same with your mother" I looked at him in disbelief .

"Daddy -"

"I know. Listen she's been going to rehab and she's a lot better. Just give her chance" feeling my eyes getting watery.

"I can't believe that even after all she did ! TO HER OWN DAUGHTER . YOUR OWN DAUGHTER. You would allow her to pull up at the spot as if nothing even happen"

"August I believe in giving people second chan-"

"Man get outta here" August picked up and walked out the back.

"Excuse me" I took my leave and went to the backyard.
This was so hard to take in.
First of all I hadn't seen my mother since the incident . Well heard from her.
And the memories and the pain the hurt everything just came rising back.
I followed behind him.

"August -" I was trying to calm him down but the pain really struck me hard.

"C'mere" he pulled me in for a hug.

"Ion want her here not after what she did to you" he frowned pushing me back a lil looking at my face.

"I don't know . I haven't really spoken to her at all. A part of me doesn't want to either but I don't wanna be carrying all this hurt and anger in my heart either." I pulled back a lil more to see his face more.

"I'm pregnant and I don't want anything to hurt the baby in any way . No stress no crying nothin" he nodded understanding and looking into the distance.

"You right. But it don't mean I'm goin be buddy buddy with ya momma" I chuckled a lil.

"I know , she doesn't like you because she thinks you so bad and dangerous, but you only bad and dangerous when you need to be" I teased . He went from frowning and looking into the distance to smirking and looking in my eyes.

"You tryna start something right now ?" I just bit my lip and giving him the look.

"Shoot these hormones really working you huh ?" I smacked his arm as he began laughing.

"Well fine don't come up on me tonight talking bout you want summin" I mocked walking off .

"You all talk now till I put my hands on you" he followed behind me. Opening the door and entering "not possible if you sleeping on the couch .
His mouth dropped open. "Is that how we doin things now?"
"Mhmm" he covered his open mouth .

"Damn you tryna get nasty while your parents in the house ?" 

"Oh no , pipe game done turn you into a freak" I slapped his arm while he cracked up . I walked away going back to the to sort this whole thing out .

He followed behind me.
I see her sitting next to my dad drinking coffee.
Immediately I was uncomfortable.

At the sound of my foot steps my fathers head perked up and He got up.
"Oh pumpkin I'm sorry that I let her come her without telling you. But I knew if I did you wouldn't want her to come. I didn't think everything through before I made this decision"

"It's okay pops. Everything happens for a reason" I shrugged

"Listen sweetie. I haven't been the best mom to you. That I know but I want to make it up to you . I don't want to not be apart of your life especially when your having my grandchild. These are moments mothers should enjoy with their daughters. Golden moments like these. I understand if you don't want me in your life but please forgive me . I don't want to be excluded from the baby's life either" seeing her eyes filled with water kinda messed me up.

"I don't hate you. Although it would take time to build something I would say. I can't look at you right now and say I forgive and smile and be happy cause right now when I see you I remember our last encounter. I won't say I forgive right now either because truly in my heart I know I haven't as yet so just give me time"

" I definitely understand"

I sighed "okay . I won't exclude you from the baby's life"

"Thank you"

"Well alright , I just wanted to clear some tension up. I have some where to go so I'll leave you to enjoy your lunch." She waved at everyone making her exit.

"Elizabeth" my dad called out and I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
She looked back at him.
"Drive safe"
She smiled and nodded "thanks"
Whew I thought he was gonna ask her to stay for lunch.

"Alright damn. I gotta reheat the food now since y'all took so long"

"Kicking someone out is only a few seconds" Becca rolled her eyes.

"Have some respect girl" I walked past her tryna get a seat .

"Tell me about it" August said tryna help me sit down.

"Alright alright let's talk about this baby shower!"

"Someone's mad excited"

"Girl I'm bout to be an aunty . After my suspicions was 100% correct ? Hell yeeaaa"

"Princess about to be spoiled"

August interjected "umm you mean prince"

She mugged him "I said what I said"

"Back to these finishing touches"
We all sat at the table discussing everything and finalizing stuff we packed up and everyone left . I was tired tired .

I got ready for bed and I felt like August was gonna try something so I was prepared to beat him at his own game.

I was in bed already and was already in sleeping position.

He came in and shut the lights .
He hopped in the bed.

I feel his arms wrapped around me and he started pecking the back of my neck the way he knows how.

I smiled knowing what I was gonna do.
I turned and I kissed him so passionately that I know he was gone be so into to it.

I pulled face away from him I smile at him "Goodnight babe"

I turned back pretended to go sleep . "Mya stop playing"

"I'm already in man"

"When I wanted to you rejected me"

"YOUR PARENTS WAS IN THE HOUSE" when he said that I think I died .

"You rejected me" I shrugged "now you know how I felt"

"Oh my God"

"Baby" he called out for me but I ignored him.
I loved it when he called me baby.

"Baby please look at me" giving I turned to look at him.

When I did I saw an ocean deep of love in his eyes. He wasn't playing anymore .

He caressed my face "baby you are the most beautiful woman I've ever met. I'm so honored to start a family with you to share a life with someone so beautiful someone I could hardly say no to. Trust when I said no earlier is because I have respect for the people in the house . I didn't reject you baby. I would never" he said it ever so gently .

"I know damn well you would be yelling my name and begging for more" he joked and I shoved his shoulder and we both laughed.

"I'm serious tho I love making love to you not just having sex baby but making love ."

I cupped his face and kissed him. He pulled "can I make love to you now ?" I nodded smiling.

I love my baby.
We spent the whole night making love.
I'm crazy about him.

I can't wait for to meet the adorable baby and have this family started.
