Mya POV
Today is cook off dayyy . I'm feeling pretty good for a pregnant lady. I was just tryna get my make up together and we bounce.

"You know that thing people say about when you pregnant like glittery and stuff " August stood by the bathroom door , hand in his pocket.

"What ?"

"You know like you glowing or something like that "

"Oh yh "
"You doin that now . Looking more beautiful . Is it even possible?"
He started checking me out .

"Damn"
He shook his head in shame.
"Them niggas was blind as hell. Now i'm the one that's blessed . Goddamn!"

"When i thought it was over .... lord she got pregnant and now she's glowing " he said over dramatically cover his face with his right hand.
I rolled my eyes . He can be so over dramatic sometimes but I'm just glad we good.

"On a real though babe . You look so damn beautiful and I can't wait to see how our baby finna look like" he came to peck me and he went down to kiss my stomach.

"Me too " I loved how he was handling the baby on the way situation. It means that he's listening to how I feel and that he cares.

"Alright baby I'm all done let's go to the cook off" I passed my hand through his hair . He got up and I pecked him again before we both left the house .

"Where are we going ...Chris's house!
Where are we going Chris's -" August screwed up his face and lift up the volume from the radio.

I felt cute so it meant that I can act like a baby and regardless of what I do I would still look cute.
I went along with the music because I liked it anyway.
No matter what the odds may bring I'll wait
I can see the blessings coming my way
Blessings on blessings yeah I could see the blessing coming my way

"So when are we gonna find out what the gender is ?"

"In the next two weeks"
He still hasn't come to one of the check ups. So this week would be his first.

I was excited that he was gonna be there . No lie I was . I deserve to share this moment with him.
God I love him so much .

"So how's it been when I was gone ?"

"Well I was pretty much bored half the time because everyone had to work so it was just me " I shrugged "then you keep sendin Chris till he started coming everyday to keep me company"

"Then i ended up in the studio and I tried a thing and bam he shared it and now it's a hit. I wasn't really expecting it to blow up"

He looked at me with a smile "well it did superstar" he teased

"I'm going catch you one of these days bawling like a hot mama"

"Tsss it's not even that serious"

"That's what you think mama" he pursed his lips . I shook my head playfully.

"And with you being pregnant , when did you find out?"
I was hoping he wouldn't be mad. Because it was a long while before I told him.

"Remember the time when we were back at the hotel and you stayed two days ?"

"Mhmmm" he was already giving me that look and I know he was gonna ask.

"Well Rebecca came with pregnancy tests because she kept an eye on me and that's when I found out"

"Hmmm" I looked at him out the corner of my eyes . I was scared a bit. He stayed silent. Like he was in thought.
The silence was really just clogging up my air.

"What's on your mind ?"

"Just on how much I missed out on. I should've been one of the first people to know. Why you ain't tell me ? I would've flown down to see you again"

"Really August? The same day or the day after you left?"

"Okay but I could've  come back earlier to check on you . To go to some appointments with you"

"I figured maybe you wouldn't be as happy to know that I'm pregnant-"

"What ?! That's my seed" he looked at me like I lost my mind.

"But your career just started ! You were touring and performing if not in the studio. How was I gonna be the one to tell you that you gonna have to take a mini break for ya baby"

"Man I don't give a damn. It excites me to have a baby . My baby. Our baby."

"I wanted to tell you plenty times "

"Should've told me when I came home then" he had a whole attitude that was just pissing me off.
"Right... the house that you rarely ever showed yourself in. With the way you kept coming at me please explain to me when was the right time other than when I did it" I waited for him to reply but instead he stayed quiet and locked his jaw.

Still a few seconds away from Chris's house .
He spoke up " I understand. I would never say no to having a baby. I don't give a damn about work or anything. I would never be mad or upset about having a baby. Even if it's not the right timing I don't care . My seed is important to me" he looked me deep in my eyes as we came to a stop.

I nodded . He caressed my cheek and pecked me . Then pecked me again before getting out.
He came around to open the door for me.

I stepped out and we walked up to the door. We rung  the door bell and waited . While we waited he rubbed my belly.

Then Rebecca opened the door. "Who is this coming up in my mans house?!"

I cracked up.

"Ain't nobody want you ! And you better stop claiming other people to be your man before Dennis have to kill somebody " Chris yelled from somewhere in the back.

She rolled her eyes ."Men"

"How you say it like you ain't one" August said making me laugh and her mug him.

"Great now the circus is complete" she mumbled opening the door wider for us to walk in.

"Hey family!" I yelled to Chris and Dennis.
"Whattup whattup fam"

"Come come lets start this cook off I'm ready to win" Rebecca said all excited.

"You sound real confident" Chris smirked.

"Cuzz I won this already . Now come on"

"It's cool bruh I done got the ice cream and dvds set up at home"
They laughed.

"The punching bag still at the gym" he commented.

"You sure ? Because I'm looking at it right now" she threatened him and his face dropped.

"Is cool man I feel the same way. Once I saw Mya side of the family . I never finna try anything period ."
I rolled my eyes playfully .
"Really?"

"Alright enough chit chat let's do this!" Becca complained.

"Look at you ! Gettin excited to lose" August playfully.

"We all know I'm finna win stop hating" she waved him off.

"Nah man I taught my brother to well" he pat Chris on his back.

"Relationship goals" Chris replied fawning over my man.

These two a joke .

"Alright let's start this thing. Me and the baby hungry!"

Let the games begin.
