Science is divided into many parts,

And, biology, is one of them.

Where you get to learn about the hearts,

And the way water travels along a stem.

Most of the children love to study biology,

While the rest hates even the sound of that.

It has branches like cytology and histology,

And some lessons where you'll learn about a rat.

You could study biology if you wanna become a doctor.

But remember, you also gotta learn physics and chemistry.

By the end, you'll have known the properties of water,

And the pattern how a seed turns into a large tree.

You can become a dentist or a vet,

According to your own desires and likings.

So that you can cure someone's diseased pet,

Or look at the teeth in mouths of kids and kings.

Biology is really an interesting, lovely and a wonderful subject,

Which makes you look around with different minds and eyes.

You can see the insides of any organisms after you dissect,

Which will be your first target, and the organism being one of the mice.

If you have an interest in the medical field,

You have to sit through many exams, classes and lectures.

After becoming a doctor, you'll be happy once you've healed,

All the patients' diseases, burns, allergies and fractures.

Biology helps you learn about plants, animals and humans,

And teaches you about fungi, viruses and bacteria.

When you study them, you'll feel that they aren't any nuisance.

And, I don't want you to, right now, have any hysteria.

Biology gives us the knowledge on, what lies under our skin,

How the blood runs from the heart to other parts of our body,

The pathway of air to and from lungs when breathing out and in,

What happens inside us when we smoke cigarettes and drink toddy.

Biology gives us many things to ponder about,

Helps us understand the need for vitamins and proteins,

Makes us way too curious (without any doubt),

Educates us on what each part of our DNA means.
