Lucy yawned as she sat on her bed, the mattress sinking down around her rear.
Sleep was not her best friend that night, all she could do was toss and turn, she wasn't comfortable at all. She did that til the morning, the only sleep she had gotten was those few minutes she was comfortable and could rest a bit before having to toss and turn some more into a new position to rest in.
She stood up, she had already gotten ready for the day, took a long shower to wake herself a bit and put on some clothes. She wore skinny jean shorts that cut off just above her knees and a white hoodie. She pulled her hair into a ponytail, leaving some hair out and had also put on a little makeup to get rid of her eye bags. She slipped on some white sneakers to match her hoodie. Her pink phone slipped into her front pocket just as she left her room, walking down the grand stairs of her home down to the big kitchen.
"You're up early," a voice made her jump, she looked up to see Loki. He looked as he had just woken up with his messy hair and tired look. He didn't even wear his black formal jacket as he always did. He only wore his white dress shirt, it was unbuttoned a bit, showing more of his chest and looked a bit messy like he had slept in it. The sleeves here rolled up as well. He leaned against the counter, a plain white coffee cup in his hand, looking freshly made as steam still rose from it.
"Yeah," Lucy spoke, not speaking much, still quite tired as she reached for the coffee pot just as Loki turned to grab a small mug for her, "You look like you just got up."
"I did, It's the time I usually get up," Loki grinned for a second, letting out a small laugh.
"It's rare to see you so tired," Lucy commented, pouring french vanilla creamer into and coffee and mixing it in with a small spoon, "Except on the weekends sometimes when you sleep in."
"Those are sacred times."
"Then I go in and ruin them."
"I cry each time."
Lucy chuckled along with Loki.
"So you're going to be at the hot springs for five days I see," Loki took a sip of his coffee before sifting his fingers through his hair.
"Levy invited me," Lucy looked down, a sigh escaping her lips.
"You look stressed about it."
Lucy looked away from him, letting silence take over before speaking again, "Natsu saw my scars."
"And he's going to be at the hot springs as well, isn't he." Loki raised his hand, resting it on Lucy's head, feeling her soft hair that was still drying a bit after her shower.
"He hasn't said anything about it, and I don't think he told anyone else. But I know he's going to confront me soon, I'm just scared what he's going to say."
Loki opened his mouth to speak, but his words were drowned by the loud doorbell that echoes throughout the mansion, alerting anyone that was awake someone was at the front doors.
"That's probably levy and the others. She said they all were gonna meet here," Lucy stood up straight, walking out of the kitchen to see Virgo already walking to the door. Virgo stopped walking, noticing Lucy's presence.
"Morning Princess," she greeted.
"I've never seen you tired or sleeping..." Lucy commented, staring at her. Virgo just bowed and walked to the door. Opening it and in came Levy after saying a 'hi' to Virgo.
"Lu!" Levy ran up to Lucy, hugging her tightly.
"Morning Levy," Lucy greeted, she looked up to see Levy, Lisanna, and Natsu, "Where is everyone else?"
"They're gonna wait outside," Lisanna stated, "Gonna keep their eyes out for the bus if it comes early."
"You have your stuff ready?" Levy asked, letting go of Lucy, Lucy nodded, "Alright, I'll help you carry. But we have to leave soon for the bus."
Lucy nodded, "The bags are just upstairs in my room," she stated, beginning to walk to the stairs.
"Levy! Can you help me?" Lisanna asked, waving her over, "My bra came undone."
"Alright," Levy nodded, "Natsu, you can help Lu with her bags."
"Yeah," Natsu spoke, beginning to walk to the stairs.
"O-On second thought, its not that many bags. I can carry them out myself," Lucy shook her hand out to him.
"Come on," Natsu shook his head, walking up the stairs. Lucy internally groaned, walking up the stairs herself.
Natsu opened the door to her room, keeping it open for her to walk through first. She stood still in hesitance, walking in slowly with him behind her. She jumped when she heard the door shutting after Natsu walked in.
She walked to her bed where a pink duffle bag lay and two smaller bags. One was a small, light brown satchel bag. The other was a round pink bag, probably for makeup or her toiletries by how it looked.
"These are all the bags," Lucy gestured towards the bags on her bed.
"Lucy," Natsu spoke her name, the sound of her name and not the nickname he always called her by made her jump. She felt his hand grasp her arm gently, lifting her hand, "We need to talk."
Lucy yanked her arm out of his grasp, looking down as she held her arm down stiffly at her side, "No, we don't," she spoke.
"We do," Natsu grabbed her arm again, he brought his other hand up, pushing up her sleeve in a quick motion, "These are why we do."
Gathered down by her wrists where red lines, some were a bit puffy, still healing. Some seemed to have been there for a long time, they were healed but stayed as a scar upon her skin as a reminder.
"Lucy, please tell me why," Natsu gave her a hurt expression, letting go of her arm.
Lucy hugged her arm, pulling the sleeve down over her scars taking a deep breath, "I can't just tell you so suddenly-"
"Is that Ayano girl part of this?" Natsu asked, interrupting her. Lucy's body tensed, she only looked down, "She's not your friend as she claimed is she. You told me and Zeref those friends in America betrayed you, meaning this Ayano girl is one of those people that hurt you."
"The few times you actually get something right," Lucy looked back up at him.
"I'm going to let that slide for now," he huffed, leaning over and picking up her duffle bag and the round bag, "Sorry I didn't realize it sooner, but I won't let her hurt you anymore."
"How can you promise something like that?"
"Do you trust me?"
Lucy was taken aback by his question before raising a brow, "Yes, I trust you."
"Then let's go," he said, walking out of her bedroom.
"W-Wait! Natsu!" Lucy ran after him, grabbing her satchel bag.
