A loud ringing sound echoed the main entrance making him jump.
Virgo was the one to answer it.
He couldn't hear what was spoken of as he lifted Lucy like a princess.
" Virgo. "Loki called to her. Virgo moved, letting him see who was there.
" Loki, what happened? "a familiar voice called.
" I was just telling Master Dragneel it wasn't a good time. "Virgo stated.
" Zeref, what brings you here? "Loki asked.
" I came to Welcome Jude back on the Dragneel behalf. "he spoke.
" You can come in, I've been meaning to speak with you. "Loki stated. Virgo moved aside letting him through.
" What happened to Lucy? "he asked.
" She fell down the stairs. "
" She was always pretty clumsy. "
" being clumsy didn't make her fall. "

" That's what I've been meaning to talk to you about. "

Zeref clenched his hands into fists as Loki stood next to Lucy's bed where the blonde laid.
" I know she changed but I never expected that her fear for her father was the reason. "Zeref scratched the back on his head." Or of the abuse, she didn't say anything about it. "
" She didn't want anyone to know. "Loki stated, pushing his hands into his pockets." I wasn't going to say anything because we had an argument at the school and though I did promise her I would not speak of it... Jude has gone to far today. "
" He didn't push her, did he? "
" I'm not sure, I only saw her on the ground when I passed through the doors and I ran to her. Jude said he didn't but, I don't know what to believe when it comes to him and Lucy. "

" Out of everyone else you're the eldest and more mature to not go rushing into Jude's study, and I thought at least someone could help her that wasn't me. I get angry with her, but you're hard to anger. Believe me, your patience with Natsu seizes to amaze me. "
Zeref glanced down at Lucy and sighed." If they ask about anything, I won't lie to them. "he stated.

Loki nodded as the eldest son of the Dragneel family left. He turned, looking down at Lucy, sitting down on the bed. He raised his hand, pressing the top of index finger to her cheek, stroking it lightly." Lucy... "he hummed." Why must you make everything so difficult?"
