I wrote this to honour the memory of my cat Ava who sadly passed away on the 10th July 2016. RIP Ava

A loving friend you were to me, in my heart you'll always be.
Even though you're not here, your loving memories I'll hold dear.
So, dear friend, I won't be sad, to carry my grief would only be bad.
Instead I will think of all the joy, something no one can destroy.
I want to say I love you so, but now I think I must let you go.

Huuuuh! Do you hear that? That's the sound of peace. Writing this has really helped me to feel better and find a way forward.
