Unfathomed Endings
'I really hope your project is selected for finals, if you require any more help feel free to ask us out', Ragini beamed at Aarushi. They had spent nearly two hours quizzing Ragini, Dev and Anuj all of whom had readily shared their views and provided valuable aid to their promotion. The clips had been securely recorded by Ajay.
'Thank you so much ma'am, I'll be troubling you a bit more for guidance in future', Aarushi smiled at her shrewdly. Three of them burst out laughing.
'Of course', Anuj said as he shook her hand. It had been a pretty productive day, Aarushi beamed joyously as she exited the council room.
'I must show my sincere gratitude to you, so thank you for your help! I won't be able to get things completed so smoothly if I had been alone', Aarushi said, she smiled with utmost pleasure as she looked at Ajay walking beside her.
They haven't got much chance to talk about other topics while working. Ajay had been a heavenly help to Aarushi who was no better than a novice with digital devices, he had generously offered to record the footages in his hand camera. His former mysteriously grave mood had been uplifted as the talks progressed, as of now he was visibly more jovial. Aarushi had the experience of his unnatural mood transitions occurring time to time; as a result she had adjusted aptly to his much brighter attitude.
'Anytime', he dimpled down at her.
'Anyway, have you thought about editing and stuff?', he asked her. Aarushi was planning to ask Sarthak to put together their clips and organize the video, he happened to have some substantial knowledge about technical things.
'I'll probably ask Sarthak for help, he has considerable skills for this work I think', Aarushi replied. She saw the warm gaze of Ajay transforming into stone cold as he looked away. She wondered what got into him all of a sudden causing the abrupt transition once again.
'Oh', was all he replied with. Aarushi waited for him elaborate but it was in vain. The awkward silence persisted until they heard Viraj calling out to them. He and Sarthak had interviewed some principal student figures whom Viraj had managed to befriend owing to his skills and affable personality. They walked towards the exit gates as Sarthak and Viraj recounted their successful ventures for today. Aarushi could not help stealing concerned glances at Ajay who had been unusually quiet after their last conversation.
'I almost forgot to ask you, what have you thought about editing of video?', Viraj's voice caught her off guard as it interjected her thoughts.
'Oh... I think Sarthak will be in-charge of it, he is the best after all', Aarushi said, smiling a benevolent smile in Sarthak's direction. Sarthak ran a hand through his glossy chocolate brown hair as he chuckled at her compliment.
'Yeah, definitely, he is the best', Ajay chipped in. Aarushi looked in his direction wondering if she fantasized the manifest sneer she heard in that comment. He was looking at Sarthak with impassive stony eyes. Aarushi tilted her head slightly in perplexity; she could not understand how Sarthak had offended him that he would get bitter almost every time they were together.
'Well I am definitely a better friend, at least I don't make people cry', Sarthak responded with an equally lukewarm statement. Aarushi twirled her head in his direction with disbelief; Sarthak was glaring at Ajay with coldness Aarushi had never seen in him ever since they had met. He was a stoical being and had a perfect temper for becoming a doctor. It was the first time she had witnessed him using a fierce tone with anyone.
She knew he was referring to her, she wondered how he knew about her crying, she had been cautious about not shedding tears in front of anyone for past four years. Aarushi turned her focus at Ajay.
If looks could kill, Sarthak would have departed to heaven by now, knifed by the daggers shooting from his menacing stare. Ajay's jaw was clenched tightly as glowered at Sarthak, challenging him to continue and witness the consequences. Aarushi focused from one boy to another, tensely watching the ongoing glaring contest.
'She isn't just a friend', Ajay hissed through clenched teeth. Sarthak opened his mouth to retort but was interrupted by Viraj who jumped in breaking their ferocious eye contact, much to Aarushi's relief.
'Woah! No need to get so worked up Mr. Gupta, he meant that you all already have too much on your plate, we can help you out with video', Viraj said attempting to ease the tension between them. Sarthak's eyes snapped to Viraj.
'We can manage; you have already helped us a lot, besides I am pretty skilled with computers', Sarthak retorted, shooting a mocking look at Ajay.
'I know that Sarthak, but give us a chance to showcase our expertise', Viraj smiled at him cleverly.
'Right, I think Viraj is right. After all they are with software more than we are', Aarushi cut in. Sarthak looked at them both questioningly; he nodded after a while giving his approval.
'Ok, then I'll meet you tomorrow afternoon with footages from our college', he said. Viraj grinned at him.
'Good! Are you both joining us for dinner? It's already pretty late, I don't think canteen at your college will be serving food by this hour', Viraj said checking the time in his phone. Aarushi looked down at her wristwatch, he was right, it was nearly nine.
'I think I will, what do you say Aarushi?', Sarthak asked her, his anger had eased down pretty quickly, he was back to his usual friendly self.
'Well, I will pass. I have to report for my part time, few hours are still left, I cannot afford a pay cut', she said, smiling apologetically.
'You are working part time?', Viraj asked with a quizzical expression.
'Yeah, coming off age brings a lot of trouble, I guess', she said, veiling away her bleak truth behind a smile.
'I'll get going now', she said. She wanted to escape the situation as quickly as she could.
'Be careful', Sarthak said with concern. Aarushi nodded reassuringly at him.
'Goodnight', she said to Ajay. He gave her a curt nod not meeting her eyes. She bid them night as she started off for her café. Her thoughts were occupied by the recent exchange as soon as she was alone.
As much as she was shocked by their erratically ferocious behavior, she couldn't neglect the slight pain Ajay's sentence caused for her. Once again, he had denied even the simplest relationship between them. The frenzy in that sentence somewhere hid a secret agony; Aarushi would be lying to herself if she denied the concealed pain she had heard right through the cover of annoyance and temper. The convoluted mixture of disconcertment and anguish had overpowered her ability to think clearly. The myriad soreness that had ached in every corner of her heart whenever the memories had struck hard was throbbing forbiddingly, threatening to unleash her carefully covered affliction, which still had the remnants of rawness from their wretched past.
'So even after all these years, I was not even worthy of your friendship', Aarushi scoffed mentally. For him it was just a simple statement, for her it meant everything, their beginning and their end.
'At this moment, I don't know what I have made out of myself; all these years I have waited desperately for just another chance to see you again, to clear up the past and attempt to write a new story, but again, all I received was a mocking blow at my ancient wound. You said that I was not even your friend, then why do you care? Why is that desperation cowling your every word? Sometimes, I cannot help detesting heavens for making me fall for you of all the people out there, but then again somehow I cannot bear to throw my feelings aside, it feels as miserable and agonizing as tearing a part of my soul. I can't understand your muddling actions, but this time I am not going to back off because of my insecurities. Let's just clear out the cumbersome air that had haunted our past and present and free ourselves from boundless suffering, after that, if you want, I'll vanish into the inconsequential sections of your memories as though I was just a long forgotten dream', she thought as a sad smile crept on her lips.
The moonlight was blazing the way ahead, decorating the soothing chill of early winter evening. Aarushi breathed in the scent of cocoa beans and coffee syrup clearing her shattering thoughts.
'Oh, you are back, good!', Jennie greeted her. Aarushi smiled cordially refreshing herself for job ahead.
[Flashback]
'What!? You guys can't bail out on me like this,' Aarushi cried in the receiver of the reception telephone.
'Well... I know you are seething right now... will sorry be enough?', Juhi apologized timidly. She could feel her friend blazing with rage of abandonment.
'Definitely not, how can you all use up the benefit of duty leave when I am stuck here in school like a fool, besides you all said you won't be using it', Aarushi called out with her voice near a whisper.
'I know... that's why I am sorry, besides I didn't know Vartika would also take leave', Juhi spoke in a defensive manner. The finals for the district lawn tennis championship were scheduled for today evening. It was supposed to be a rousing performance with their team facing one of the most dreaded and rugged opponents of district. They had been given optional benefits of taking a leave on behalf of representing their school with no reduction in their overall performance. Aarushi, Vartika and Juhi had came to the conclusion of not using it as they all had individual tasks to be taken care of without delay, besides Aarushi had insisted that they will have enough time for finals even if they attended the school so it would be an act of cheating if they use up the benefits.
Aarushi had arrived school this morning only to be stunned by absence of her two friends, one of whom happened to be her best friend. She had made a call to Juhi from school's reception demanding a trustable explanation.
She cut the line with a bitter taste of betrayal and resentment. Now what will she be doing? They had planned to ditch the school legally at midday for warm up before matches. She can't get permission from their head of department until or unless she had some support. She exited the glass doors of office, sulking about the treachery of other two.
'Believe me if I say you look more brutal than ever right now', a familiar voice interrupted her making her turn back to face the source. Ajay was standing behind her looking at her with an innocent teasing grin.
'Right, I won't regret giving you a wholesome punch to wipe off that stupid grin right now', she retaliated with a fake sardonic smile. Aarushi rolled her eyes at him turning away; she wasn't in the right tenor for his mindless banter.
'Ouch! Will you ever be nice to me like you are to the others?', he asked with mocking misery. Aarushi ignored his jabs as she headed off towards their class.
'Now, if we are done with bickering, mind sharing the reason for your moping?', he said with a genuine smile. Aarushi inhaled deeply. She needed to fill in her resentment to someone or she might end up ruining her own day, she could feel his sincerity behind the question so she decided to share the cause.
'I was left stranded after betrayal of my friends', Aarushi grumbled. Ajay raised his brow questioning her to explain.
'Vartika and Juhi decided to enjoy the luxury of duty leave at home leaving me here alone to deal with our peevish and difficult head of sports' department for authorization of leaving school before hand', Aarushi elucidated with a heavy sigh.
'I see, well you are right except you need not be alone', Ajay mused over something.
'I can accompany you there', he continued with a cynical tone. Aarushi looked at him puzzled eyes.
'I mean, I am also heading to the same venue, so we can go together. What do you say?', he asked when his statement was met with absolute silence.
'Weren't you down with a fever two days ago? How can you still participate?', Aarushi blurted out. She had got the news from his teammates when he had been absent from events two days ago.
'I was, but I will be fine competing today', he said with a heartening smile.
Aarushi stared at him, while her mind galloped at a breakneck speed. Agreeing to his suggestion meant they would be spending time together until the tournament. Aarushi's parents were usually non judgmental about everything except when it came to their daughter's engagement with opposite gender. Aarushi's interaction had been highly restricted to academic or related talks with boys, with an exception of Ajay. He could not be classified as friend but over past few years Aarushi had indeed involuntarily began to put in more reliance in him as compared to any other person, though she was still oblivious to this fact.
His idea was logical, it was definitely better than facing their irascible coach all alone. She struggled with her upbringing and heart, as she pondered over pros and cons. After a few minutes of intense struggle, she decided to push aside her meekness and go with it.
'Ok, we'll go together', she said.
'Great! I'll signal you when it is time, let's get going now', Ajay dimpled at her walking towards their study room. Aarushi followed him quietly wondering the reason behind the gaiety and comfort that flooded inside her. His words had brought about a strange sense of alleviation and benevolence melting the agitation and restlessness of her mind. An alien sensation of comfort and solidity was rushing inside her pacifying her anxious nerves and she could not help feeling bothered by that weird serenity.
She concluded that it was better to be with someone known than stuck alone and thus the calm and exultation were nothing to worry about. She closed the discussion with a firm reasoning.
'Aarushi, let's leave', Ajay said to her in an undertone. Aarushi checked the wall clock in front of them, it was nearly half past eleven; she nodded stuffing her belongings in her bag. She tried to fit in her racquet inside her bag but to no avail, defeated, she left it half packed and slung her bag over her shoulder.
After smoothly explaining their subject teacher about tournament they were soon on their way to school office.
'Can you slow down? We still have an ample of time', Ajay said, walking behind her.
'I don't have fantasies of being caught by coordinator in the middle of lecture', she retaliated nervously checking the corridors for any sign of their coordinator. She neglected his hassled muttering as he quickened his pace to keep up with her. They arrived at the school office untroubled by any obstructive force, Aarushi breathed a sigh of relief, she was grateful they hadn't met any knotty teachers who loved to form their own perception about students. Aarushi had a golden and impeccable image, they would've believed her words, but the trouble to bang her head in answering their never ending questions was something she wasn't looking for at the moment.
'Excuse me miss, we are having our lawn tennis district tournament today, it would be really helpful if you could help us with the gate passes', Aarushi politely spoke to the receptionist. She was an austere yet amiable lady who had fair past with both of them. She scrutinized them from the top of her spectacles.
'Both of you?', she enquired.
'Yes ma'am', Ajay said. She extracted a notepad of yellow papers after dialing their school coach for final assurance. Filling in their names she handed out the passes instructing them to get the stamp and signature of HOD from sports' office.
'Aarushi, I'll deal with him', Ajay told her as they stood outside the door of sports' office. Aarushi nodded, he was more capable of handling the sergeant than her. Ajay twisted the door knob leading the way in.
It was completely dark inside the chamber; the only light coming in was from the open door. The glorious tales of victories and rewards covering every corner of the chamber was submerged in darkness. Equipment of cricket and hockey was stacked untidily in one corner of the room. A wooden desk occupied the other end. Aarushi could make out the figure of their HOD, Mr. Sanjay Chouhan seated in a comfortable chair behind the desk strewn with open files and papers. The partial shadows that hid his face could not prevent her from figuring out the current atmosphere of room, bone chilling cold and deleterious.
Aarushi could feel Goosebumps rising on the back of her hand. Their coach's eyes were bloodshot with anger as he furiously scribbled something in one of the documents. Someone must have got onto his nerves not long ago, irritating his snappy temper. As the luck would have it, Aarushi and Ajay had entered the lion's den at one of the worst times.
'Excuse me sir', Ajay spoke, catching his attention.
'We were having our lawn tennis districts finals this afternoon, it would be great if you could authorize our letters for leaving the school before time', Ajay continued gallantly.
'Where is the rest of the team? Your coach didn't inform me about anything', Mr. Sanjay growled.
'You can call him for affirmation sir, rest of them have taken duty leave and already left, we both were attending school for some crucial project as a result we could not join them', Ajay calmly said, fabricating some facts.
'Authorization disapproved, you both can continue with your project', their coach snapped at them turning back to the work in his hand. Aarushi's blood had chilled down at the dire tone his voice held, she quickly turned prepared to move out without any delay. She could not care less about the game; the instinct of human survival inside her was more powerful at that moment.
Ajay's hand wrapped around her wrist halting her in her spot, her eyes snapped towards him widened with shock and questions. Ajay was looking right at the HOD; he squeezed her hand reassuringly telling her to wait. Aarushi could feel timidity crawling inside her as she waited apprehensively.
'Sorry sir, this won't be happening next time, it was extremely important this once that's why we had given up on taking the leave, besides it would be unethical to extract advantages from the benefit and neglect other works when we could successfully manage both of them, kindly authorize our leave it is really significant for us', Ajay said with a hint of steadfastness wrapped around politeness.
Mr. Chouhan looked up at them both, analyzing the amount of veracity behind their words.
'Fine, I believe your words, give it here', he said after few moments consideration. Ajay let go of her hand as he moved towards the desk to get their receipts signed.
'Thank you sir', he said with a slight bow as they walked out of the office closing the door behind them.
Aarushi could still feel the tingling sensation his fingers had left along her skin. She felt the color drenching her cheeks as she recalled his hold on her hand. It was decisive and comforting but she felt faintly embarrassed at being stopped from chickening out like this.
'Y-You were good back there', she stammered clumsily.
'Thank you', he replied without turning to look at her. Aarushi saw his ears glowing red, she hid away her smile as she realized he had become more self conscious than her. Aarushi had always been unusually alerted at physical contacts, Ajay had always maintained a respectable distance from her and every other girl. This was the first time Aarushi had seen him crossing over that distance voluntarily.
'Aarushi', he addressed her awkwardly after walking for a few minutes. Aarushi turned towards him prompting him to continue.
'Umm... Well... I am sorry...Back in the office...', Ajay struggled clumsily, not looking her in eyes. Aarushi bit back a smile which was almost there seeing his fiddly apology.
'It's okay, I would've run away otherwise', she quickly said with a reassuring smile, he let out a relieved breath and dimpled a cheerful smile sauntering away to the main entrance. She would be lying of she said she said her heart didn't flutter in that moment in office, she didn't feel bothered by his action as she should and that troubled her somewhere. She left that topic for midnight debate following Ajay towards the main gates of school.
'Give me your racquet', he said to her as they reached the other end of road. Aarushi gave him a puzzled expression.
'It's dangling out of the bag dangerously, I am afraid you'll end up losing the game even before competing if its wires become broken because of your remarkable arrangement', he said wisely pointing towards her racquet swinging outside her bag. She narrowed her eyes at his derisive remark.
'None of your business', she replied shortly fetching her racquet from the perilous position and carrying it in her hand. Ajay stifled a laugh at her grouchy action.
Aarushi was walking ahead of him at a rapid pace with fuming annoyance. He had successfully learnt the art of getting onto her nerves. She was questioning her sanity when she agreed to his suggestion to come along when a hand pulled her on the other side of road.
'What the-', her sentence was left in mid air as a car swooped beside them moments later exactly from her former position. She would've hit it if Ajay hadn't pulled her in time.
'Are you deaf or have a strong desire for hospital bed that you didn't hear that car honking?', he nearly shouted at her. Aarushi could feel the concern in his voice. She was lost in her own thoughts that she really hadn't paid much attention to car.
'Walk on left or you might end up becoming a crushed mess', he commanded her leaving no room for discussion. Aarushi complied with him with a pout pasted upon her face. He took her racquet from her hand without a word.
'Hey! What do you think you are doing?', she asked him annoyed.
'You don't even have necessary coordination for walking straight on a leveled road without meeting accidents, I am afraid of being injured by this device in your hand even before I get to show my skills on field', he said rolling his eyes at her. Aarushi grimaced at his statement as she followed him to the venue.
'Don't fall into that puddle Miss Know-it-all, or it would be worst than being squashed', he said with a mocking smirk. Aarushi winced at his jeer as she skipped over the muddy pool from yesterday's rain.
They were amongst the early arrivers at location which wasn't more than a fifteen minutes walk from their school. Aarushi snatched her racquet from Ajay giving his teasing grin a death stare before storming away to other side of court where her team members were huddled together.
Aarushi had forgiven both the traitors for leaving her alone; she accepted their apology and was back on peaceful terms with them. The excitement glinted in her eyes as participants were called out for the first match of the evening.
'Congrats team! We lost the finals, but at least we managed to reach the finals. Don't pull those long faces now', Aarushi chirped, attempting to cheer up her sulking team mates.
'Right, we weren't eliminated before competing against best team in district and well, second rank isn't a bad deal either. We weren't beaten up so bad after all', Vartika supported her with an encouraging smile.
A little smile made its appearance on Juhi's face as she listened to her friend's words. They had lost the final game of doubles giving the other team a win by 2-1 score. Juhi had been competing in the decisive game, they had lost but at least they had put up a fight. Her somber mood became visibly light as she accepted the brighter side of the situation.
'Let's go and watch boys, it must be the time for semifinals', Juhi said to Aarushi. They strode over to other end and settled in by the boundary nets, keenly observing the ongoing game. Ajay was in on a game of singles with opponent team. Aarushi had her head pitched on the grip of her racquet, she was looking everywhere except the court. She hadn't yet forgiven him for his early behavior, so cheering for him was way out of vision.
'At least cheer up for your school if not the person', Juhi told her with a stunned tone. Aarushi had been sitting idly not even bothering to throw a few words of encouragement for their institution, it was against sportsmanship conduct but she wasn't in the right mind to follow the conduct with the person competing in the court at the moment.
'You are right, I must say I don't give a damn about the results of this match because I am sure our seniors would definitely get the trophy', Aarushi said loud enough for her voice to reach across the court to Ajay. She saw him looking at her momentarily with an undistinguishable expression from the corner of the eye before he was back to rally.
'Dude, if you can't cheer then at least don't discourage him', Juhi mouthed to her rationally.
'As if I care if he loses or wins', Aarushi retorted rolling her eyes and pretending to turn away her attention elsewhere; Juhi gave her a "you are impossible" look before turning back to the game. Aarushi was sneak-peeking at the ongoing game, she said she didn't care but secretly she cared about it more than anyone else although she hated to admit this fact. She had already categorized it as a concern for school and team spirit and therefore she hadn't given it much thought.
She bit her tongue anxiously as Ajay missed a shot. She mentally implored for him to win the game, wishing for a miraculous telepathic connection to appear between them so that he can infer her true thoughts without her vocalizing them. Aarushi gave herself a mental chastise and shook her head attempting to dissolve the foolish imaginations.
Her team exploded in joyous applaud as referee announced the end of the match with Ajay as the winner. Aarushi lidded down her feelings as her heart exploded with jubilation. Ajay triumphantly sauntered over to the boundary acknowledging the praises and compliments for an amazing game.
'Congrats', Aarushi told him nonchalantly, not caring to put in much emotion.
'Thanks, I hope I am not hearing delusions, did you seriously compliment me?', Ajay asked her with a pretentious surprise. Aarushi rolled her eyes at him and Ajay mimicked her act. She shot him with piercing stare as he chucked down water, chuckling like a stupid idiot.
Aarushi felt something wet touch her face as she thought about a perfect retaliation. It had started raining; she looked at the ominous clouds hovering over them in sky as huge rain drops started splattering around them drenching the whole area. Aarushi dashed over to nearest shelter. Soon enough it was pouring down. Aarushi wasn't expecting this rain to stop before an hour or so judging from the pace at which rain drops hit the ground. She finally looked around her surroundings only to find it deserted except a single human. She let out a swaddled groan as she saw rest all the members crowded in neighboring shelter at a distance of fifty meters except Ajay who was sharing the one with her.
'It won't be halting soon', Ajay said to her as he moved to stand besides her, resting his back on the stone wall behind them. Aarushi hummed in response conscious about the close distance between their bodies. She could feel his warmth tingling against her cold soaked skin.
'Shall I ask you something?', Ajay said, trying to ease the cumbersome silence. Aarushi nodded as the streaming drops blocked the distant chaos of voices.
'Do you watch movies?', he asked her. Aarushi was taken aback by this surprising question but she decided it was definitely better to strike up a conversation rather than spending rest of the time in fiddly silence.
'I do, usually they are adapted from novels, what about you?', she replied.
'I don't usually watch bollywood, you like Harry Potter right?', he asked her.
'Yup, it is on my dearest list of movies. But wait you don't watch Bollywood? I mean like you have never even seen DDLJ or Chennai Express?', she asked him not attempting to hide her astonishment.
'Chennai Express, yes; DDLJ, no', he answered with an amusing look. Aarushi gave him a "are you for real" expression. She wasn't a great fan of Bollywood herself, but she won't say no to rom-coms of century; she imagined how monotonous his life would be to miss out on such masterpieces.
'They are my personal recommendations, trust me you are missing out on a perfect fun platter if you don't watch them', Aarushi said to him giggling giddily.
'I will, how can I deny the suggestion of Miss Know-it-all?', he said, playfully winking at her. Aarushi chuckled cordially at his response.
'How did you figure out I was into Harry Potter?', she said with a hint of doubt.
'Guessed it, you are always reading those thick novels', he said observantly. Aarushi gave him a flattering eyeful. He addressed it by adjusting the collar of his sports t-shirt causing Aarushi to burst into fits of laughter. She regained her composure feeling uplifted and bright.
'It's beautiful, isn't it?', Ajay said to her admiring the beauty of scene in front of them. Rain drops were slashing across the scenery, drowning the luxuriant greens into vicious bouts of water which they seemed to enjoy nonetheless. The soothing splashing of water against the clay roof above them played a ravishing music. The path was hidden away by the pouring drops creating the mystery of unknown that lay ahead.
'It is', Aarushi said, breathing in the softening scent of soaked soil and water.
'Have you seen 2012 movie?', he asked. Aarushi nodded in positive as she recalled the science fiction about 2012 phenomenon of end of the world.
'How do you think the world would end?', Ajay continued with an unreadable expression. Aarushi frowned slightly, she had wondered about it multiple times, but never reached a viable closure for question. It was a mystery with no answer but endless possibilities.
'If I say I don't know, it would be a common answer, there are boundless answers to same question. I haven't thought about just a single ending, but there is one thread that beads them all together. When the end approaches, it would depend on outlook of individual, ones who have cherished their lives and loves would embrace it like an old friend others might just weep over the moment criticizing and protesting. Destiny will not turn itself for us, it depends on us to turn our destiny in something worth admiring so why not hold onto the positive end', Aarushi said with a revered smile.
She had shared this part of her profound hidden thoughts with him. She knew he could grab onto the meaning and weight of her words. She tried to see through the wildering mien he wore on his face.
'Actually, somewhere I think you are right. The end won't be cruel to us until we are giving it a chance to be. But will you still be willing to face that heartbreak and misery of losing even after knowing that it is preordained?', he asked her with an unknown intensity and solemnity.
'I will', she said with a heartfelt smile adorning her sincere sentiments.
[Flashback ends]
A/N:
Another long chapter. I hope you all enjoyed reading some cute scenes between Aarushi and Ajay.
I am a little apprehensive about implying the correct emotion of scene and ruffled tension, so please share your opinion whether my writing was able to convey it or it needs some improvement?
