"Ajay,shey you no go sleep"

I sighed as i looked at the papers in front of me. This head boy duties will not kill me one day.i would have been through with this if not for the practice we had today.

"I'll just attend to these two then rest." I had about nine papers left and if i don't finish these papers,it will pile up tommorow as i get new papers to handle every day. But as papeeyah will say even though regardless upon still,i cannot kill myself.

I was still going through my papers when my ring tone filled the air. I looked back and gestured for Ay to pick it since i was busy and he was the closest person to my phone which was on the bed.

He checked the caller 🆔 astrid. What will astrid want from me at 1:30am

He picked it "hello astr....." He trailled off. I chuckled.i'm sure astrid would be giving him a life changing speech on why he answered the call late.

But that was not it,"i don't get what happened to her?" I stopped writing.

Her.

The only her she would be talking about by one o clock is.....

I turned to look at him with confusion on my face.

"So jazzie is......"

Shit.

At the mention of jazzie,i dragged my phone from his grip,slightly pitying the phone because of the intensity of my grip.

"Astrid,what happened to jazzie"

"She.....s......i......i don't k......"

Okay,this girl is scaring me.

"Astrid,i need you to calm down and talk to me." I was already on edge.

"She...she is sleeping,maybe or maybe not.i don't even know.she looks disturbed like she's having a nightmare. She keeps truning and twisting,muttering words i don't understand. Her temperature is not....not even something i should talk about. I've tried caling her name....and....and waking her up she is not respo........."

"It's okay" i quickly cut her off "just get down and open the gates of the hostel. I'm coming".

I grabbed my hoodie and moved to the door," anybody that wants to follow should be fast,because i'm locking the hostel gates after me."

They all took their phones,while noah locked the door of our hostel.

I had already sighted astrid from afar and increased my pace. We all entered and she locked the gates leading us to her room.

Fuck.

Jazzie was looking like.......i don't even know what to say. I tried shaking her but her body was cold. They all surrounded me like i was a messiah and the only one that can perform miracle for her to wake up.

"Try,pouring water on her face" I don't even want to know who spoke,but from the depth of my heart,you are a complete ODÉ.

Person body dey cold,you dey talk say make we pour am water. You for talk say make we just carry am put inside bathub.

I discarded those thoughts and focused on her,"jasmine" i shook her lightly but she wasn't bulging.

"Jazzie,common" i waited but it seemed like i begged her to wake up,the more disturbed she becomes.

"Jazzie,please" i was on the verge of crying. This girl should please just wake up. She .......

...wait....

An idea came to my head,i wasn't sure it was going to work but at least i have to try it. I brought my head down to her head on the bed,our face inches apart,then i placed my lips on hers.

She stopped moving and then she opened her eyes,thank God.she looked around vigorously,"calm down,look at me. It's just a nightmare okay"

She finally looked at me and she bursted inro tears,while i just held her close to me. The others sighed in releave and relaxed a bit.

"I....i....th...thought.....i..it w..was go...going t...to happen,again" she said in between her sobs. I stroked her back lightly as her sobs reduced.

I don't know what she was talking about but i feel was what her nigjtmare was about is probably something bad that has happened to her before. I just pray it's not as bad as i think.

I fin.............

"Weeeeeeeeeeeeee" The sound of coachs whistle brought me out of my reverie.

I looked around and everyone was staring at me. Noah,ayodele and tope had ran to my direction. Coach was already by my side,with a worried look that masked his face.

"Big guy,are you okay?" He rested his hands on my shoulders,as if to scrutinise me.

I ruffled my hair,"i'm fine. Just few head aches and all" well that was not a complete lie as i was feeling slight headache.

"Sorry,about that but,you have been fiddling with the ball for the past few mimutes like you were lost in thoughts."

Was i that obvious. I didn't even realise that i had zoned out. I looked at my friends and they gave me a look of approval.

Wow...

Mr daniels patted me," the gave is tommorow and we can't afford to loose. So take care of yourself" he gave my shoulder a light squeeze before walkiing off and giving us three hours break.

I decided to stay back and train a little when i staggered back as two bodies were thrown on my body.

"Hey,little men" They both laughed and came down from me smiling.

"What's the cause of you boys happiness"

"Senior jazzie,oh i love her" zach eyes beaming with joy.

I love it when they talk about her.just the sound of her name put me at ease. I'm so glad that my soon to be girlfriend has captured my brothers heart. At least he doesn't hate her like he hates stephanie.

Speaking of which......

"I hope stephanie doesn't bully you guus again"

"Na,she's scarce these days"

"But,she has started in another way"

Oh,boy....

Stephanie always find new methods of doing what she wants.

"What did she do now??"

"Well,unfortunately,all our classmates now suffers for it. She's always coming to our class to punish us. Like it's now a routine. Lile she can't wait to come to our class. She can release everybody and still punish us saying that she saw us talking or we were the one that started the noise or we could not open our smelly teeths to beg her."

"Beg her? Is she God or what?"

After all the warnings i have this girl. Don't worry,she will meet me.

Zach razed fifteen and passed the ball to derek who razed a little and passed it back to me. My brother and his friends were pretty good at playing football but i didn't allow them to join the school team because
that was one of the rules tope stated in the sports constitution.

They were just in jss2 and might not be fit
to start running around over a piece of object. At this their small age,if they get involved in football it might lead to heart issues or constant headaches. So the school allows just students from ss1 to ss3 to partake.

Nevertheless,i still engage them in little training once in a while,so that when they get to ss classes it won't be hard for them.

"Oh,yeah what did you say jazzie did?"

Their eyes lit up again,derek spoke,"not to long she ordered M§M chocolates with pizza for the both of us"

I creased my brows,"did you say order??"

"Yes!"

"With the schools adress??"

"Yep!"

"How did she do it?? Because i'm sure the security won't t..."

"She kind of ordered it in your name"

"MY NAME!!" I screamed and they laughed. How could this people even believe her. Well,she could get her punishments later.

After about thirty minutes of training, me and the guys moved to the cafeteria with ire and zach going their way.

"No no no jayden. I'm not hearing that? " Jazzie said sternly.

I looked at this girl in amusement,she was literally ordering me.

When we got to the cafe,we sighted them, mean she and astrid on this table,so we simply joined them.

She pushed a plate of rice to my front,"now, eat or do you want me to feed you."

I smiled at that thought but truly,i wasn't hungry. My head was throbbing badly and my eyes were heavy,but i decided to put on a facade in order not to make her worried.

"Babe, i'm not hungry"

She frowned,"young man,i clearly told you to eat,not asking whether you are hungry or not. Besides..." She trailled off,squinting her eyes at me"you look weak and worn out".

I stared back at her deep blue eyes and my gaze fell on her lips,different thought started forming through my weak head

.....and lead me not into temptation....

For God's sake oh you thoughts we are in the cafeteria.

I cleared my throat and looked away and she shrugged her shoulders"what? I'm just saying the truth. You look very weak"

"I promise,i'll eat when i get to the hostel"

"Jayd......"

"Shhhh" i cut her off,placing my hand on her lips."i promise okay,you can confirm from any of them"

She relunctantly agreed,nodding."well, i don't still feel good about this. If i have my way,you won't play that ball tommorow"

Everyone turned to look at her,"thank God you even said,if you have your way,because we really need him. Who knows if those guus have been training since forever. But,guy seriously,shey you sure say you dey okay?"

I stood up,"let's just go to the hostel" they were all staring at me like i have two heads. "Common guys i'm fine. Let's go"

"I'll escort you" jazzie stated getting up.

I was already moving when a wave of nausea hit me. I cluthed my chest tight and staggered back wards almost tumbling against chairs.

They all looked at me with wide eyes while jazzies rushed to my side,"jayden"

"I'm fine" i gave her a tight smile and we kept on moving with her glancing at me ocassionaly.

Few steps out of the cafeteria anothe wave of dizziness hit me,worse than the first one and i could not bear it. I fell down.

"The fuck" was the last thing i heard before i plunged into darkness.
