Beep! beep!!
My loud ringing tone woke me up, I checked the time and I Frowned.

4:03Am

Without looking at the caller, I dropped my phone and tried to will myself back to sleep.Thinking that the person will be reasonable enough to drop it bit this Time the beeping was higher. Just 2 minutes,a little mind told me. I looked at the caller, Astrid, this girl is going to throw a tantrum of not picking her call the first time.

"Hello" I was welcomed by a loud defeaning scream. I quickly put my hands on the sides of my head to check if my ear was still intact.

"Girl,why are you........." She didn't hear me finish before cutting me off. "Where were you the first time I called"

I knew it!!!!!

"I was sleeping" but I knew she wasn't going to buy that "The Jayden I know is not a deep sleeper"

"Why did you disturb my sleep" Then excitement returned to her voice. "You all should come and see me off to the gate my mum will be here in thirty."

"Thirty" I nearly screamed and this girl want us to come and meet her. "They are sleeping, just send greetings to her".

"Ehhh" she retorted "I'm not hearing any of that."

"Astrid,I can't come"

"Ajay, I wasn't asking you,I was ordering you and I am giving you guys just......" She paused probably checking the time. "Five minutes"

I nearly screamed. This girl wants all of us to run down there. I'm sure she is smirking, knowing the distance between the boys and girls hostel. But I knew better than to argue with her.

I woke all of them up remaining Ay. God, this boy is such a deep sleeper than that even if the hostel was burning he wouldn't even notice. But I had so many ways to wake him up.

"You guys can just wash your face and stuff I'll deal with this one", I gestured to Ay,who was so deep in his sleep.

They both entered the bathroom together, since it's just to wash their face. Well,I had work to do, so I took my head set and connected it to my phone, increasing both the headset and my phone to the highest, placing in Ay's head.

"What are you doing, today??" I looked back,they were already out of the bathroom. The 'today' in their sentence had a meaning. I always have new ways of waking this guy up.

After placing the headset properly on her head and making sure it was in the highest. I moved to my playlist and played "industrial baby" by lil Nas x.

The beat of the song was enough to make him fly out of the bed, removing the headset with so much force as if it caught his ears on fire. But that was not my problem now, my problem was my stomach.

I kept on laughing and clinging on to my stomach like it was some precious. Noah and temitope did not disappoint. If I try to stop, their laugh will trigger me back.

Ay was not even helping matters, he was staring daggers at us like we should just catch fire, his hair all messy,eyes a little bit red. He was panting like he just ran a marathon. I'm not meant to be laughing but I could not help it.

If he had left us or gone to the toilet it would have subsided our laugh. But he just stood there,

"It's not funny na, shey you want make my ear burst." He finally screamed stamping his foot on the ground and left to the bathroom to do God knows what.

He came out of the bathroom and glared at us"why did you guys wake me up. This is barely five o clock."

Wait oohh!!!

"How many minutes did Astrid give us to come and meet her??"

Ay's eyes flew open"Astrid told us to meet her and even gave us time............." I didn't even allow him to finish before taking my hoodie and flying out of the room.

😑 😐 🤨

We reached the front of girl's hostel and I called her "just meet me at the gate" came her monotonous reply and she cut the call.

I cocked my head to the gate and they all followed me,they must have heard her statement because my phone was on loud speaker. Temitope sighted her first, keeping her balance on one foot, stamping the other one with a folded arm and looking straight at the gate.

She had a troller beside her. " We are in soup,we are in soup,we are in soup" He sing-sang and I shot him a glare.

"Hey" I tried to put my hands over her shoulder but she shrugged it off.

She then turned to face us "how many minutes did I give you guys, this is 4:15 hmm. Is this how........." She paused for a moment then bursted into laughter.

I was surprised and totally confused, until she pointed to my back.i looked back and saw Ay. Okay that's enough to make me late and I joined her.

We were all laughing while the victim was not even finding it funny but we couldn't help it not when Astrid's laugh is contagious.

"I bet you guys had one hell of an awakening" she spoke in between her laughter.

"You have no idea" and we all increased our laughter with Ay lips twitching into a smile.

"It's okay, but you guys well done" he stretched his hands and I attempted to take it when he slapped my hands away. "Come and shake me first"

"But I thought you wanted me to shake you" I maintained bringing out my hands.

"Waka" was all he said and we all continued laughing. Truth be told if he is sleeping and probably his girlfriend is trying to wake him after few minutes of trying to wake him up,she will call the ambulance thinking he is dead. Speaking of girlfriend............

Hunk! hunk!!

The loud horn of a car tore me out of my thoughts. I looked to my left and saw a midnight range Rovers and Astrid picked her bag and walked towards the car, with the four of us tailing behind her. Before we got to the car, a woman stepped out of the car walking gracefully towards is with a smile on her face.

She was wearing her traditional attire which she matched with a pus and a crystal heel. Every step she took indicated audacity.

Lemme introduce y'all to Mrs Adeyemi, Astrid's mother,one of the best, elegant and most beautiful model I've heard of. She walked towards us with Astrid half running to her and she hugged her mum so dearly. If one thing astrid loves her mom so much.

They disengaged before Mrs Adeyemi turned to meet us or me particularly "J.J..."
She hailed me "okocha" they completed and we all laughed.

'J.J' as a nick name and adding 'okocha' to it in reference to the footballer named ........

The rest then greeted her and she replied whole heartedly complementing them one way or the other. After few minutes of questions on our studies and stuff she finally made to leave with Astrid.

They both hugged all of us one after the other and they entered the Jeep with the driver opening the door for both of them and they entered.

She waved and we watched the car zoom off. As if a light bulb went off in Noah's head he screamed "first person except Ajay to get to the hotel will get one Ps and one pizza."

I smirked,he knows I'm going to beat them that's why he didn't fail to put the 'except' in his sentence.

I watched my Friends run to the hostel like mad people, laughing all the way there. I facepalmed myself.

Speaking of deep sleeping,one of my classmates younger sister is a deep sleeper up to the fact that their ceiling fan fell and cut her forehead slightly but she was still sleeping,so engrossed in it she had to be waken up before she felt blood oozing out of her head.😂😂🤣🤣🤣

I didn't believe until she showed me the scar😂😅
