The Same Day, Xaio Long Household

After witnessing a shocking sight before them, Summer brought the boy back with her as Tai carried both Ruby and Yang with him back to the house. As the boy in her arms slept while she walked through the door, Summer took him upstairs and went into the restroom while Tai watched her go up. After setting Ruby to bed and Yang was coloring in her room, Tai watched from the door of the bathroom as Summer placed him you in the bathtub with warm water and began to clean the boy. As she cleaned the boy, she turned towards Tai for a moment.

"Can you get one of the shirts you're not wearing anymore and cut it up for him? He has no clothes and we only have clothes for Yang." Summer said.

"Sure." Tai said as he went to do what he was told.

After he left, Summer continued to clean the boy and stared at him with pity and sorrow as she held his hand under the water.

"Y/N...What happened to you...?" She muttered as she leaned her head on the edge of the bathtub.

After cleaning the boy up, she dried him and clothed him in a shirt and some old shorts that Tai used to wear before laying him in their bed. Summer stayed by his side before hearing a knock at the door and turning to see Tai as he motioned for her to come to him. She stared at the boy for a moment before getting up and walking towards Tai as she closed the door to their room.

"What is it?" She asked as he only stared at her. "What?" She asked as Tai sighed.

"We have to call the authorities..." He said as Summer grew a pained look and turned away. "He can't stay here! That boy is the monster that appeared 6 months ago from the Lagos incident! He's dangerous!" He whispered loudly as she snapped towards him.

"He's only a CHILD! That boy is the nicest boy that I had ever met! During my mission in Lagos, he always wanted to come with me where ever I went! I learned so much about him and his amazing family! His mother and I practically became best friends! I can't just give him to them. They'll kill him!" She pleaded with Tai as he held her arms and stared at her.

"Summer, I'm only trying to look out for our kids. Can't you see that he's not the boy you met back there? Kids don't just survive a nuke and turn into monsters!" He whispered loudly.

"He's not a monster! He's just a boy who was scared and confused! I am NOT going to leave him to those monsters!" Summer teared up before a creak in the floor boards caught their attention and they turned to see Yang in the hallway.

"...I-Is he going to be okay...? That boy...?" She asked as Summer wiped her tears before going over and kneeling down to Yang's level.

"Yes baby. He's going to be okay." She said to Yang as she hugged her and she hugged back.

"H-He can stay..." Yang said as Summer and Tai were both surprised from what she said.

"Baby, I know you wanna help but this is something we just can't do." Tai said as he came over, but Yang looked at him with pleading eyes.

"I know you said that this is something that adults should handle...But he's a boy...Isn't he the same age as me? Why can't a kid help another kid?" She said as Tai and Summer both stared at each other in surprise. "Please?" She asked as Summer stared at Tai before he finally caved.

"...We'll have to make sure he's calm when he wakes up." Tai said as Summer smiled and Yang did as well.

"Thank you, daddy!" Yang hugged Tai as he hugged her back and Yang looked at Summer. "Can I see him?" She asked.

"Sure, c'mon." Summer said as she held out her hand and Yang held onto hers as they went to see the boy.

Over time, days had passed since Summer took the young boy in. The family tended to his clothes and cleanliness, but the boy did not wake up anytime soon. After a whole week had passed, Yang was in the room with the boy coloring using the bedside to put her coloring book on. As she was coloring though, she saw something moving under the sheets of the bed. She saw something slither around before coming up out of the covers to see a scaly tail. She was mesmerized by it and without realizing, she reached out and grabbed the tail. Suddenly, the boy's eyes shot open and when his eyes met hers...

"You bought those boy clothes I told you to get, right?" Summer asked while drinking a cup of tea as Tai was cooking lunch.

"AHHHHHH!!!" They heard two sets of yells before Summer put her tea down and ran out the kitchen and Tai turned off the stove before storming off as well.

As the two adults raced up stairs and into the room, they saw Yang in the corner and Y/N backed against the bed's headboard.

"W-W-W-What are you doing!?" You asked as a red hue covered your face.

"N-N-Nothing!" Yang said while waving her arms around. "Y-Y-Your tail just came out of the covers, and I thought it was cool so...!" Yang said as Summer went to the bedside.

"Y/N...Calm down. You're okay." Summer said as you looked towards her. "It's me, Summer. Summer Rose. I went to visit your village before." She said as it clicked in your head.

"Mrs.Rose...?" You said as she came closer towards you.

"Y/N...Do you remember what happened to you?" She asked as you held your head.

"I-I remember playing with the other kids in my village...And then...my parents came to get me. We were walking home when there was this bright light that shined in our faces...After that I...I can't remember anything..." You said to her as she nodded.

Summer turned back towards Tai and gestured for him to take Yang out of the room. He nodded as he took Yang's hand and lead her out the door. Just before the door closed, Yang waved bye to you as you waved back at her before the door closed. Summer came and sat on next to you as she held your hand and looked right at you.

"Y/N...I...I have no easy way to tell you this. Before I tell you what happened...You have to promise to remain as calm as you can." She said as you were confused.

"What do you mean? Where's mom and dad?" You asked as she had a pained look.

"Promise me, Y/N. Promise me that you will stay as calm as you can. Not calm, but just as calm as you can be when I tell you what happened." She said to you as you just nodded and she took a deep breath before speaking. "Y/N...We're not on Lagos...You're on the island of Patch just located next to Vale." She said as you were shocked.

"What?! Vale!? Why am I here!? Where's mom and dad!? Mom! Dad!" You yelled as you tried to get out of bed but Summer grabbed you and held you close to her as you tried to escape. "Let me go! I have to find mom and dad!" You said.

"I'm so sorry Y/N...! I'm so sorry...!" She teared up as tears began to fall from your face.

"No...I wanna go home...! I wanna go home...! I WANNA GO HOME!!!!!" You yelled.

Suddenly a strange force pushed Summer away from you and knocked her against the wall as she groaned from the impact. When she turned towards you, she saw a dark aura surround your body as your tail wagged around violently. You groaned in pain as you dropped to your fours and scales slowly began to appear on your body. Your teeth sharpened and your mouth was extending out to a snout as your eyes looked more reptilian now. You turned towards Summer and growled as she stared at you, but what you saw wasn't fear, it was sadness. Instead of backing away, she was coming towards you slowly.

"Y/N...I know it hurts...What your feeling is terrible, but it gets better I promise...!" She said as you growled and your spines on your back grew out even more. "What happened to your parents isn't fair, but they wouldn't want you to do this...! This isn't you! You're a good boy! You're an amazing boy that needs help. Let me help you..." She said as she took your hand without fear. "I miss your parents so much...What happened to them wasn't right, but I don't think they want you to do whatever you're about to do...Don't succumb to the darkness in your heart! Please, Y/N! Come back! Come back to the light!" She said as a her eyes began to shine and a warm light began to diminish the darkness that flowed around your body.

This warm light began to overtake the darkness around you as the once heavy air began to lighten up in the room. You groaned and whimpered as your body began to go back to normal. Your scales went away, your snout returned to just being a mouth, your spines grew shorter, your claws went back into your fingers and toes. Within a few moments, you were on your knees crying loudly as Summer came and hugged you while you held onto her as well.

"I want mommy and daddy...! I want mommy and daddy...!" You cried loudly as she cried with you and rocked you back and forth.

"I'm so sorry baby...I'm so sorry...!" She kissed your head and hugged you close to her while you cried and cried.

Just at the door, Tai was peeking inside and closed his eyes in pity for you before lowering the baseball bat her had in his hands. After calming down to an extent, you and Summer spent the day making headstones for your parents before going to the edge of a cliff in a forest near the house. You held Summer's hand as you both stared at the gravestones and you gave the two headstones each a kiss before taking Summer's hand again and walking back to the house.

"Mom...Dad...I love you..." You thought while walking away and turning your head towards the headstones before they were out of sight.

Timeskip, Many Years Later

Fifteen years passed since you had awoken in the Xiao Long household and since then the family did their best to make you a part of the family. You grew up with Yang and acted as an older brother to Ruby as Summer treated you like a son. It was a little weird for Tai the first half year, but as he got to know you more and spend time with you, he felt like you were the son he never had. They loved and cared for you, and in the process of being surrounded in a loving and comforting environment, especially during your time of grief, it pulled you out of your darkness and your life was back in light. You went to school with Yang and graduated from Signal Academy at the same time as her. You felt bad for Ruby since she was two years behind you two, but you were still proud of the young woman she grew up to be. After graduating and applying to train to be a huntsman with Yang, you two both got accepted into Beacon Academy and prepared your things to head to Beacon. During the time of training and going to combat school, your body changed for the better. Your muscles were finely toned, your skin was spotless and alluring, and your clothing style had improved significantly since learning about how to dress with Yang. Since tomorrow was the day you were leaving for Beacon, you, Yang, and the rest of the family were spending a night in a hotel in Vale near the docks so you'd be ready to board on time. You were staying in a different room from your parents. You, Yang, and Ruby shared a room while Tai and Summer were both in the room across from you. You were currently hanging upside down by your tail in the arch between where the beds were and where the restroom was located. You hung yourself by wedging a pull-up bar in the arch as you were wearing nothing but your pajama pants and you did tail pull-ups to strengthen your tail muscles as you called to Yang who had the restroom door open where she showered.

"Yang, I think I left the watch dad bought me in there. Can you get it?" You asked while doing another tail rep.

"What?" She called as she didn't hear you due to her shower.

"Get my watch!" You called.

"Huh?" She asked again.

"Get my watch!!!" You yelled.

"You hit your crotch?" She asked as you were flustered and growled before hopping off the pull-up bar.

You walked over to the restroom door and when you were about to open it, Yang was staring at you from the door while using it to cover herself. In her hand she dangled your watch in front of you while making a smug look as you were annoyed.

"You heard me the first time..." You said as you snatched the watch away and she laughed.

"Ahaha, I was just messing with you. Can you get my underwear? I forgot it on the bed." She said as you rolled your eyes and left and she smiled teasingly while going back in the restroom.

You walked over to the bed Yang was sleeping on and when you looked down you found a pair of small lingerie panties with yellow detailing on the bed. You groaned as you picked it up and went back to the restroom before tossing it in as Yang saw it hit the wet floor.

"H-Hey! You could've handed them over you know!" She said as she peeked back through the door.

"Ahaha, I was just messing with you." You imitated her as she grew frustrated with you before huffing and shutting the door.

You sighed as you took the pull-up bar off the arch way and set it aside before laying on your bed to relax. You heard the restroom door open up before you were suddenly straddled by Yang who was wearing a hotel bathrobe as she stared down at you and you stared back up at her.

"So, when are we gonna tell them?" She asked you as you leaned up and she wrapped her arms around you and you wrapped yours around her waist.

You brought your tail up as it slipped under her robe and brushed against her back. She leaned down and gently kissed your lips as you kissed back, sharing a passionate smooch for a few moments before pulling away as she leaned her forehead against yours.

"We'll tell them when the time is right...Telling them when we're leaving like this probably isn't the best call." You said.

"We have to tell them eventually. We've been hiding our relationship since we were fifteen." She said as you laid down with her on top of you.

"We'll tell them, I promise. Just right now, we're saying bye to them for a while. Let's leave with a good note." You said as you pecked her lips a few times.

"Okay." She said as she kissed you one last time before getting off you to get dressed for bed.

As she got off your bed you got up and wrapped your arms around her and gave her kisses on her neck as she giggled and held your arms. She turned back around as you two began a heated make out session, but just as you were getting it on, the door burst open and the two of you split faster than Ruby's semblance as Tai and Summer walked in.

"M-Mom! Dad! Good to see ya!" You scratched your head while hiding your red face.

"Jeez, can't learn to knock? Ahahaha!" Yang laughed awkwardly in a cold sweat.

"Get ready you two, we gotta go get your little sister." Tai said as they left and you and Yang stared at each other for a moment in confusion.

15 Minutes Later, At The Vale Police Station

"What were you thinking?!" You and Summer both yelled at Ruby as she cowered in the seat she was in.

You were all inside the police station waiting area and when you learned of what happened and what Ruby got involved in, you and Summer were furious.

"You chased a robber onto a roof?!" You asked.

"You took on a GANG of robbers?!" Summer yelled in shock as she paced back and forth. "Ohoho, you are in so much trouble young lady. And guess what..." She said as she and you gave Ruby a death stare. "NO COOKIES FOR A MONTH!" You both said in unison as the world came crashing down on Ruby.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!" She cried while dropping to her knees and yelling to the ceiling as the officers were staring at you all with weirded out looks as a few of them were recording on their scrolls.

"Guys, I don't think this is the place to be doing this..." Yang said as she tried to calm you down.

"You're in big trouble when we get back to the hotel..." You said as she grew an awkward smile.

"About that....There's something I have to tell you guys..." She said as you and Summer both looked confused.

5 Minutes Later

"CHEERS!!!!" You, Yang, and Tai all clanged bottles of beers in happiness as you looked at Ruby. "CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING INTO BEACON EARLY, RUBY!" You all laughed while walking down the street and drinking while Ruby walked next to Summer with an awkward smile while Summer was shocked.

"W-Wait a minute! Are we just going to ignore the fact that OUR Ruby could have died tonight?!" Summer yelled.

"Huuuh? It all worked out in the end. It's what she trained for." You said as you were already tipsy from your drink.

"YOU WERE ON MY SIDE!" Summer said in frustration.

"Huuuh? I was...?" You thought as you leaned on Yang.

"Man, after all this time with me, you still can't handle a drink." Yang giggled as she wrapped your arm around her.

"I can't believe Ozpin actually pushed you ahead two years. I'm proud of you sprout." Tai patted Ruby's head as she was pleased with the praise she was getting.

"Ahhhh, my family is full of loons...." Summer sighed as you all got in her face.

"But we're your favorite loons!" You all laughed as Summer couldn't help but smile.

"Ohhh, by the way..." You suddenly leaned on Yang as you smiled widely at everyone. "Me and Yang have been going out for a while..." You laughed as everyone went silent.

Yang was wide eyed and sweating bullets. Ruby seemed to be frozen with an awkward smile on her face. Summer had an utterly shocked look while Tai suddenly had a serious look going on with his hair covering his eyes.

"Ummm...I can explain..." Yang said as you suddenly face planted and knocked out on the sidewalk.

"YOU'RE WHAT?!?!??!?!??!"  They yelled in shock.

"LET ME EXPLAAAAIIIINNNNN!!!!!!!" Yang cried out as you passed out on the ground, your tail swaying around goofily as your life was turned around from a cursed one to one with a blessing.
