"Tony... what happened?" Jensen asks next to him.

After Tony and Alec's sudden embrace, neither have said a word. They silently led them back to the van and they all went back to the packhouse, discarding the raid altogether.

Tony doesn't reply right away. His dark, chocolate curls hang over his face like a curtain as he looks down at the wood paneling of the porch beneath his feet. His eyes glance over at the sliding doors.

Daisy watches the boys on the back porch through the glass of the sliding door, a lost expression on her face.

Tony looks away to look back at the ground. His toned body is tense and his muscles contract underneath his shirt when he squeezes his hands together that hang in between his legs. "I don't know what to do. They got to her, Jensen..." His voice comes out hoarse and full of pain.

"Who? What do you mean?" Jensen asks.

Tony lets out a ragged breath. "She... they... I'm gonna kill them," he says it calmly and seriously, his tone determined.

Alessandro, mio figlio— his father's words ring in his ear. Cos'hai fatto? "What do you mean, papa?" Hanno fatto un patto con il diavolo.

They have made a deal with the devil, Tony thinks to himself. And they will have to pay.

The sound of crickets fills the silence in the crisp autumn air.

"Hanno fatto un patto con il diavolo," Tony whispers. "Li bandirò all'Inferno." I'll banish them to Hell.

His mind spins with a million thoughts. Most on what he's going to do to avenge his family.

Tony's eyes absentmindedly follow the shadows of the porch railing made by the moon. "My mom, Jensen. Those bastards killed my mother." Anger seethes through every word. Tony's hands begin to shake as he gets angrier by the second.

Smoke sizzles off the skin of his hands. When Tony notices this, he takes a deep breath, causing the heat to die down. He closed his fists, focusing on keeping the heat inside.

His hands sting from the embers, but he keeps it inside. He wills it to burn the top of his skin. He embraces the pain.

But he can only keep so much in. Hot tears escape his eyes and he can feel a sob threatening to escape his throat. His body shakes and he cries. The pain flees as his skin heals itself--unable to truly be hurt by fire.

Jensen wraps his arms around him, pulling him closer. Tony cries freely in his friend's arms.

Jensen holds him for some time. His face solemn, and his own eyes rimmed with tears.

After a few minutes, when Tony's slightly calmer, he looks over to the door leading to the inside. Daisy still stands there, a heart-broken expression on her face. She appears frozen in time--an eternal state of grief.

"Come on, Daisy," Tony says as his glistening dark eyes find hers through the glass. He knows she can hear him with her werewolf capabilities.

His words snap her out of her state.

She hurries out into the cool night and drops to her knees in front of him.

Tony hugs her tightly. With his mother gone, Daisy is now the woman he loves most in the world. Her embrace brings him a temporary comfort. Though, he doubt he will feel whole for a while. He can't quite comprehend a world without his mother.

The last time he saw her, she was alive. There is no world he knows with her gone. When he goes back home, some part of him still believes she will be there. She'll be in the kitchen making fresh mozarella. She'll tell him off for being gone so long. She'll remind him of how special he is--how strong he is. All will be right in the world.

Tony takes a deep, ragged breath. But the world isn't right. It's not right at all. I'll be the Phoenix you need me to be, Mama.

Tony inhales Daisy's sweet scent and lets her presence be his pacifier. His body relaxes in her embrace and he lets his head drop into the crook of her shoulder.

"I don't know what I would do if I lost my mom... I'm so sorry Tony," Daisy tells him as she pulls away to look him in the eyes. Her hands rise to hold either side of his face. She rubs her thumb over his cheek.

For a moment, Tony feels like they're kids again. But at that time his hands held her and she was the one who lost someone. Twice, actually. He was the one to console her then and now she returns the favor.

Daisy sighs. "My father left when I was ten." She echoes his thoughts. "And then, a couple of years later, my brother left home too." He knew that all too well. "So, my mom is kind of the only thing I have left, except for you guys." She continues to make her point, "Mama was like my second mother, Tony. She meant so much to me, and to so many people. I'm so sorry. I loved her so much. And I felt her love. And I'll always cherish that." Her voice trembles as she cries.

Tony wipes the tears off of her face and she does the same for him.

"See, you've lost everyone but your mom. I still have my Dad and all my siblings--and my extended family." Tony shakes his head. "I've only lost one person and I'm losing it. You've lost so much."

Daisy frowns. "Tony, it's not about how many people you have in your life. It's about how much impact they have on you. And Mama—she made an impact on every person she met." Daisy's voice cracks and a steady stream of tears flow down her splotchy, pink cheeks.

Tony puts his arms around her again, holding her closer to his chest this time.

"We can't let this escalate any further," Tony says into her golden hair.

They sit there for a minute in silence, listening to their hearts beating.

Daisy pulls away from him and looks into his glistening, brown eyes. "What can we do about it though?"

"We know where they are," Jensen speaks up.

Tony and Daisy pull away from each other as they remember Jensen's presence next to them. An awkward blush rises to Daisy's cheeks.

"Let's do something about it," Jensen tells them, ignoring the awkwardness that briefly lingered in the air.

Tony stands from the porch swing. "I think I could probably get Alec on board. And if not, I guess we're on our own." He sniffles and wipes his eyes.

Daisy and Jensen stand up with him.

"What are we waiting for?" Daisy asks them, wiping her own face.

They all look at each other before Tony leads them inside. They find Alec in their room with his head in his hands. His head snaps up to look at them when he hears them enter the room.

"We want to do something about this. Are you in or are you out?" Tony asks him bluntly.

Alec stands quickly. "Oh, I'm definitely in," his voice shakes and his jaw clenches. He's furious. He storms past them and goes to the room filled with weapons next door. They follow after him.

"Let's do some damage," he breathes out as he picks up a machine gun and a bulletproof vest.

The five of them stand against a brick wall as they wait for a car to go by.

Jay's head sticks around the corner, watching the street. When it's all clear he waves his hand, signaling them to go.

Alec is the first to follow behind him. After him is Tony, then Daisy, and then Jensen in the back.

The rest of the pack have no idea that they're gone. They left the house at two in the morning, when most people were asleep. The only ones up, the vampires, were busy having a bonfire outside, so it gave them a perfect window.

They spot a familiar sign as they turn a corner, Purpose Int. It's the building they are looking for.

They go around to the back of the building and Jay tries the handle. It doesn't budge.

"Stand back," Alec mutters. He brings out his pistol and shoots the handle. It flies off with a long bang and he yanks the door open.

The room they enter first seems to be some sort of office-supply room, as it is filled with copy machines and printers. This isn't the room they're looking for, so they move on. They edge on out of the room and Jay stops suddenly.

Inside the larger room outside of the one they were just in, is many cubicles. Only two men are currently in the room but their backs are facing the group. It's a perfect opportunity.

The teenagers quietly follow as Jay and Alec sneak up to the unsuspecting men.

"Don't scream, yell, or fight. I will shoot," Alec says to the chubby, Hispanic man who sits in the cubicle in front of the other man who is much scrawnier and paler.

The man lets out a small yelp and his hands fly up in surrender. The other does the same, except silently with a frightened look on his face.

Alec presses his pistol to the chubby man's bald head and Jay does the same to the other man's short, blonde afro.

"What do you want?" The man with the bald head whines and his voice shakes in fear.

"Names. Who do you work for?" Alec seethes at the man.

"Bryson. Bryson Lee." His lips quivers.

"And where can we find this Bryson Lee?" Jay demands as he pushes the gun harder into the other man's skull.

"The bigger offices," the pale, middle-aged man cries out. "Topeka!" He yells out as Jay pushes even harder. Jay relaxes his gun and steps away.

"Looks like we're taking a trip." Jay turns to the teenagers only to see them with guns pressed to their heads.

Tony's hands warm up at his sides. Jay notices and shakes his head slightly, signaling him to not do anything yet.

"I don't think so," the security guard in the middle says. He has his gun pressed into Daisy's head.

The three teenagers are frozen in place, not daring to make a move. As Jay and Alec step forward, the guards press their guns harder into the side of their heads.

"Don't come any closer or I'll blow her pretty little brains out," the middle guard taunts them.

Alec's eyes begin to glow yellow, leading the pressure of the guns to loosen on the temples of the teenagers. Tony is suddenly overcome with fear, but he knows it's not his. They don't know anything, he thinks. Good.

"I guess they didn't exactly explain what their company was before it hired you. They kill and capture people like me." Alec smirks at the guard. He steps closer and his claws and teeth grow into sharper versions of themselves.

Alec lets out a low growl, giving the three teenagers a signal. Jay nods at Tony.

He lets out the fire that he was keeping contained. The guard howls in pain when Tony aims it behind him, burning his thighs. He spins around and aims at his hand, causing him to drop the gun. He quickly grabs it, as the man drops to the ground, holding his hand that is badly burned, crying out in pain.

Daisy gives the guard behind her a swift knee to the groin and kicks to the shin, causing him to fall straight to the ground. Alec rushes over to her and holds the man down. Jensen fights with his guard until Jay helps him out by kicking him to the ground and pointing his gun on him now.

"Let's go!" Alec shouts and they all make a break for the back door they came in.

They don't relax until they're safely in Alec's jeep a mile away from the building. Heavy breathing fills the car. They all slump into their seats, catching their breath.

"So when are we going to Topeka?" Tony breaks the silence. He sits up in his seat next to Jensen who sits in the middle of the back seat.

"Tomorrow," Alec responds as he buckles his seat belt. The engine roars as he cranks up the car.

"That was fun." Jensen nudges his friends that sit on either side of him.

"Whatever you say, J-Dawg," Tony mutters as he leans his head against the window and closes his eyes. There's nothing fun about trying to find the man who murdered your mother, he wants to tell him. But he doesn't want to dampen his mood. They've had enough dampening lately.

"Two can play that game, Rigatony," Jensen says.

Tony shakes his head without opening his eyes, a ghost of a smile hinting at his lips.

"What about me? Do I get a snazzy nickname too?" Daisy asks on the other side of Jensen.

He laughs at her choice of words. "I like Daze still," he says.

Tony opens his eyes at this. He quirks an eyebrow when he notices the slightest pink tinge on Daisy's cheeks.

"Me too." She nods and looks out of the window. A few seconds later she rests her head on Jensen's shoulder.

The boy smiles at the golden-haired girl's actions and makes his best effort not to move as he tries to get comfortable in the small section he has in the back seat.

Tony nudges Jensen in the side, causing him to look over at him. Tony has a smirk on his face and his eyes glance between the two with raised his eyebrows.

Jensen tries to hide his smile and shakes his head, turning his gaze back to the road in front of them.

Tony chuckles, making Jensen also laugh lightly, and then leading them both to full-on laughing. At this point, their tiredness and trauma that had beaten them down the past couple of days is definitely kicking in.

Daisy leans off of Jensen's shoulder to look at her friends. She watches them with wide eyes and an extremely bewildered expression.

Tony's eyes catch Daisy's for a second and it sends him into a deeper fit of laughter.

"What the heck are you guys smoking back there?" Alec chuckles as he glances briefly at the rearview mirror to see his younger brother hunched over, leaning on Jensen who now holds his head in his hands, his shoulders shaking as a result of his fit.

"Flowers," Tony wheezes, causing him and Jensen to completely lose it at another level. Now they wheeze in between not being able to breathe and laugh.

Daisy sits back and watches her friends look completely crazy. "I have absolutely no idea..." she mutters, her eyes flickering between them and Alec's gaze in the mirror.

She and Alec laugh in utter bewilderment and he turns his eyes back to the road.

Jay simply grunts in the passenger seat, not bothering to even guess what's going on back there.
