Everyone is not fully satisfied with the decision. So they all were thinking what to do. Seeing their facial expression, Sumedh was going to say about cancel the meeting. But Mallika interrupted and said with difficulty,

"Sir, I am fine with it. I will represent our main designed dress to our client."

Not being fully convinced, Sumedh asked again to make sure if she was really agreed. Mallika just nodded in "YES" with a cute smile . Sumedh also smiled.Both were again looking at each other.

None except Chala again noticed it and to bring them back in senses,she immediately exclaimed,

"Yess it will be totally perfect. I was also thinking to make Mallika model. She will be absolutely Ok"

Everyone thanked her for this decision to save the reputation of their company. But someone was feeling extremely jealous as she hated Mallika.

She had a crush on Sumedh. And she had noticed the behavior of Sumedh towards Mallika which made her jealous. She appreciated the talent of Mallika in her mind but didn't show outside. And she had grudge against Mallika for her beauty and looks where she was little fat. Besides, everyone in the company always praised Mallika for her works and responsibilities specially our Sumedh . Even,Mallika was the best fashion designer of MUDGALKAR CREATION and she had earned fame also.So she was jealous of her. Her name-Ms. Chandra.

For that she said disturbingly,

"Can Mallika handle it? I don't think so. She's not worthy of it at all. Don't believe her blindly. I am sure that she will spoil the whole event.She is just doing it to grab our attention. So evil-minded."

Everyone didn't say anything as they including Mallika also knew that Chandra always tried to insult her. But they also felt sorry for her. Sumedh became so angry and Mallika became sad.

She continued,
"Mallika, plz don't do this. Do u have any idea how much hard work we have given for this project? Atleast, don't waste everything like that. Do u have any idea of a model? Not only looks but also attitude, smartness and style etc are also needed for being a model. It seems easy but not so easy at all. Everyone is trusting u as u have done brain-wash of them. But I amn't like others whom u can easily bring under your spells .U have no capabilityof working in this big company also. U have no brain and u r such an mannerless and useless person.Oh!I forgot, after all u r orphan. So how can we expect it from u who has no mother."

Listening this, Mallika felt so upset and she was controlling not to cry but failed. She was very sensitive and Sumedh knew it very well. There were pin-drop silence in the hall. Everyone was shocked to hear it. Sumedh was burning like a volcano. Suddenly, they heard the sound of sobbing Mallika.
(Actually everyone was sitting and Mallika was standing in a corner)
She could not hold her emotions more and finally she had burst into crying( her past is also the reason. When anyone hurts her, she reminds her mother and cries more to think that she has none to comfort her like others). Finally, she rushed outside crying very badly.

Everyone felt sorry for her while Chandra was thinking that she had crossed her limits.

Finally Sumedh spoke very loudly,

"How can u hurt someone in this way? How can u insult a girl,Ms.Chandra when u r also a girl? She has agreed for the sake of our company and how can u say that she has done our brain-wash?"

"How can u say that she is mannerless ? She has been always punctual ,loyal and dedicated towards her job. She has talent that's why she is the best fashion designer of our company not for doing our brain-wash. Yess ,she is orphan but how can u tell in such a bad way. Tell me Ms.Chandra ,tell me.How did u say that"

He finished by beating the table very loudly. Everyone was shocked to see their boss being this much angry. They all had been working with them for the last 2 years. But he had never been this much angry or spoke loudly with anyone. Sumedh again said very loudly,
"Speak up Ms Chandra. Speak up..."

Chandra became so tensed and afraid of this reaction. She couldn't speak anything.

Finally Sumedh left the cabin to search for Mallika. He had also some tears in his eyes.

SUMEDH POV

How can a girl be this much stupid?Mallika was hurt so badly. I have to find her and make her understand. So,there she is ,she is sitting the corner of the 2nd floor. I went near her. She is constantly crying . My heart aches to see her.

He made her turn towards him holding her shoulder. He said,"Mallika,plz don't cry.We all know the reality. We know how u r and we know today whatever u have decided is only for the sake of our company. Don't pay attention to others who hate u. Try to live with them who love u and never leave u. Just focus on your work and keep forward "

Mallika couldn't hold more, she hugged him tightly snuggling her face into his hard chest feeling the warmth of him and protective under his touch. Sumedh was shocked but later he hugged her back to calm down. Finally she stopped and separated. She realized what she had done ,so she said "Sorry" looking down.

Then Sumedh made her understand and took her in the office. Everyone was shocked how their boss himself had gone to a girl and talked to her. But they all except Chandra were happy to see Mallika back. Sumedh told the makeup artist to make ready all the models including Mallika. She was also happy and fully determined to represent their works perfectly. She was now more confident .

Finally, she was ready. Meeting had started and many renowned business leaders had come. Sumedh greeted them warmly. Then the meeting started. Models started to come and show their presentation. And finally, the time of Mallika arrived. She took a long breath and moved to the stage.

MALLIKA'S DRESS

Everyone present on the party got stunned to see her including the girls also. Sumedh was looking at her without blinking his eyes and he gulped his saliva to see her breathtakingly gorgeous. Even the businessmen were also looking at her like that.She came and presented the attire gracefully with full of confidence and attitude absolutely like a model. Then she moved away. And here Sumedh finally came back to his senses . Every boys were almost drooling over her. When Sumedh was going to talk with the clients they were talking among themselves and looking continuously at Mallika who was going back.

Sumedh heard and became jealous.Then he made a fake cough to concentrate on work. One of them told,

"Honestly, the main model is so beautiful. She was looking so stunning and amazing in that gown. Mr.Mudgalkar u r so lucky to have such a model in your company. If I had ,I would definitely propose to her"

"Yah. But for now we should talk about the project ,I think" Sumedh said being jealous .

Lastly, they finished the meeting and the clients made the deal final with their company. In one word,the project was successful.

They became indulged in gossiping while Sumedh excused himself and went in search of his star. He was going to the makeup room. And then ,Mallika was coming from the room to look for the makeup man. She was still in that long grown for which she couldn't walk properly. Suddenly she slipped and was going to hit the ground but our Sumedh came running and caught her so tightly that it would seem that they were almost glued with each other in that position. After some seconds,Mallika came back in senses and started to go to the makeup room looking down.

Sunedh came to thank her but after this incident, he was also looking down and couldn't say anything.

Suddenly, he heard a cry from the makeup room. Those who were there rushed towards the room including Sumedh and Chandra too. They saw that Mallika fell down on the floor and her leg was bleeding extremely.

Everyone was shocked to see her in this condition. She was sobbing hardly. Sumedh immediately came and sat on his knees. He helped her to stand but she couldn't stand properly. So within seconds, he picked her up in his arms making everyone's eyes widened and took her to the hall as there was a bed only in the hall and the makeup room was near to the hall. He made her sit down on the bed and told one to bring first-aid box. He brought the first-aid box and Sumedh cleared her wounds and then wrapped a bandage on her leg. He told her to take rest for sometimes and left.

Everyone was looking at him shockingly. I forgot to tell that Basant and Monika were also present.

(Actually, when businessmen did deal with other big businessmen, they did it through a party where meeting and presentation both were held. So Sumedh's family was present. )

They were also totally shocked to see the change of Sumedh.And Chandra was also astonished and jealous . Now all moved to their own works.

Sumedh came back and without saying anything again he took her in his arms and took her to the makeup room for changing. Then he left the room and told the makeup artist to change her in formal dress and made her to have the dinner. They did according to his orders. Now, everyone was going back ,but Basant and Monika were there. They both went to see Mallika and Sumedh was busy in checking some files. Mallika was happy to meet them again and felt little sad also not to see Aai again. They gossiped for sometimes. But suddenly Mallika became unconscious. Monika patted her cheeks and tried to wake her up but she didn't respond. They got panicked.

Monika checked her and said,

"She has high fever.She has taken a lot of stress today. That's why she has fainted. Even her leg has been injured badly. She needs complete bedrest for atleast 2 days.And if I'm not sure ,I guess she has a health problem or something. She seems very weak. "

Basant went to Sumedh who was playing with some tears in his eyes in his cabin. He wiped the tears when Dau came.Basant said in a concerned voice,

"I'm feeling so bad for Mallika. She's like my own sister and I can't see her in this condition. Even she has none to take care of her. So how will she stay alone in this situation? And she needs complete bedrest. Have u listened what Monika told."

Sumedh just nodded in"Yes".

"So we should take her at our home. She will stay there for somedays and when she will recover, she will come back. It will be OK."

Both went back to Monika who was caressing Mallika's hairs who was still unconscious. Basant went to pick her as he knew his brother wouldn't want to touch any girl . But to his surprise, Sumedh came and picked her up in his arms and started to walk towards the car and made her sit on the back seat keeping her head on Monika's lap.
Basant and Monika were giggling. And here Sumedh even didn't notice what he had done. Soon they reached at home.
