P.O.V. Third

King as well as the several other makes that were around him slowly began to wake up. As he did he noticed a female with green eyes and blonde hair that had been tied back into a bun. King slowly raised up seeing this and looked at the female.

"I'm surprised you were able to sleep as easily as you were," she said looking at him. King slowly got off the ground hearing this and looked at the female. "Good," the female said as she turned to the rest of the males in the room. "Now that all of you are awake please follow me and we will commence the entrance exam," she said as she began to walk away.

When she said this King began to follow the female with several males behind him. After following the female for a few minutes he saw several females following Ozpin. The two crowds eventually came together and they all continued to a hill. When they reached the top everyone saw platforms on the ground.

Ozpin and Glynda both pointed to the small playrooms and everyone began to stand on one. When they did Ozpin and Glynda both moved away from each other and began to explain the purpose of the platforms. When they were done explaining one of the males was launched into the woods.

"Why is something, like this important," King mumbled to himself as he was launched into the sky towards the forest. King quickly looked around trying to find something that he could grab onto. He then pulled out his scythe and tried to grab a branch.

When he did, the branch broke and King's eyes widened. King then turned around and braced himself as he hit the ground. After a few moments of training King stood up and began to dust himself off. "This was my favorite jacket," King said looking at his now dirty white jacket.

King then looked up at the tree that's branch broke. He then began to climb up the tree. When he did he pulled out his scythe and slammed it into the tree before standing on the handle. When he did King began to look around. As he did he saw several things however none of them really seemed to help him.

King sighed as he looked around from the tree he was in. "Is," King began as he noticed something odd. "Is that blonde guy pinned to a stick?" King questioned as he looked at the male. "This is a weird test," King said to himself as he jumped from the branch of the tree. As he walked he heard a few low growls behind him.

King knowing it was a Grimm sighed and turned around to see two eyes looking at him. After a moment a creature lunged at him and King jumped over it. Not seeing what it was when King landed he turned to see a Beringel in front of him. When he did he felt a massive amount of anger surge through him and he lunged at the beast.

P.O.V. Ozpin

I watched as King attacked the Beringel. His hair started to glow and his didn't use the scythe on his side he instead summoned a new scythe to use. He defeated the creature in a matter of seconds.

When the Beringel fell to the ground and started to fade King's hair stopped glowing and he seemed a little disoriented. After a few seconds he looked at the Beringel and sighed as he began to walk away. "I really wish I knew why I hate those things so much," he said as he walked away.

I smiled hearing this, even if there isn't a team left at the end of this I can't let someone like him slip away. Letting someone with such power and potential go to waste would be such a shame.

P.O.V. Third

King stared at the Beringel that was fading away in front of him. King sighed seeing this and began to walk away. "I really wish I knew why I hate those things so much," King said as he came to a small set of Ruins with several large chess pieces. Seeing the several pieces he walked by them trying to decide which to take.

The pawn, the piece with the most potential, the rook, the piece with the most direct attack, the bishop a piece that was a bit more complex than the took but still overall a relatively straightforward piece, the knight, the piece with the most unique movement and rules compared to the other pieces, the queen the piece usually referred to as the strongest and most unpredictable piece, then there was the king, the most important and valuable piece.

King looked at all of them, each piece meant something and each piece could be interpreted differently. Yet the king did provide King himself with the perfect opportunity for a pun. Him being named King, and the piece being the king. It was almost to great to pass up. Yet at the same time the piece he thought showed him the best was the pawn. Yet his favorite piece was the queen.

Not being able to decide King shrugged and picked up all six pieces. The pawn, knight, rook, bishop, king, and queen. King then heard some screams and looked towards the source. When he did he saw a cliff and walked over to it. He looked over the edge and saw a nevermore flying towards him.

King jumped by seeing this and looked to see several people fighting both it and a death stalker. Weiss and seven others were fighting them, after a few moments of silence King signed and began to walk away. "They'll be fine . . . well maybe not that blonde guy but at least he's trying," King said walking away.

"After all it's not like he's getting in the way on purpose. At least not from what I saw, plus he seems to know his limitations. Something vital for a good leader," King said to himself. "Who am I talking to?" King asked aloud, not receiving an answer the male shrugged and continued towards Beacon.

"I wonder if the fact that I didn't get a partner will effect me getting into Beacon?" King said to himself as he continued towards the large building. "I hope not, if don't get accepted I'll never hear the end of it from Jacques. I guess I could still stay here amd try to take the test again next year, but it'd be a little odd hearing from Weiss while not really being able to look over her," King said to himself as he continued.

When the male arrived at the building he saw the female from this morning staring at him. She looked at him slightly surprised. "Seems like you did a little more than asked," Glynda said looking at the male in front of her.

"Yeah, I couldn't decide which piece I wanted so I took all of them," King said looking at the female in front of him. When he said this Glynda sighed and began to take the pieces from him.

"What about your partner?" Glynda asked looking at the male in front of her.

"Oh, I never made eye contact with anyone," King said looking at the female in front of him. When he said this Glynda once again sighed and looked at him.

"Follow me," she said looking at him. King nodded when she said this and the two began to walk down the halls of Beacon. King noticed that they were walking to the same room as before and the female looked at him. "I'll talk to the headmaster about what to do with you. However until then stay here, and watch as others advance," Glynda said looking at him.

King nodded when she said this and sat down. He sat and waited for others to arrive. As he did he saw several figures slowly arrive however he only recognized two. The female he called his sister Weiss Schnee, and someone who he knew was somewhat famous Pyrrha Nikos.

King then saw the male from before start to walk across the stage. King watched as the male began to list several students that had passed the exam and the teams that they had been assigned to. King listed as he watched several students walk across the stage.

"The next team will be composed of Ruby Rose, Weiss Schnee, Blake Belladonna, and Yang Xio Long. These four members will make up team ruby, and the team shall be lead by Ruby Rose," Ozpin said looking at them. Both Weiss, and Ruby seemed shocked by this outcome. King however looked a little indifferent to the fact.

"Now," Ozpin began surprising a few people. "There was another student who signed up and passed the test. This individual has shown exceptional skill, so he will be looking after one of the new teams this year. That individual is King Schnee and he will be looking after team RWBY," Ozpin said shocking all the members of RWBY and King himself.

"He will function not as a second leader, he will monitor the four he has been assigned to look after. He will make sure the four get along and that the leader isn't to pushy or demanding of her team. This will be his job, to be sure that the leader is a good leader and not a bad leader," Ozpin said looking at the several figures in front of him.

After some cheering and most had left the room King walked up to Ozpin. "Why'd you do that?" King asked looking at him.

"Do what?" Ozpin asked, pretending not to know what he was talking about.

"Make me, an advisor or moderator or whatever you want to call me," King asked looking at him.

"You've more than proven your skills in combat, and letting talent and skill such as yourself go to waste would be such a shame. Plus the leader of team RWBY is young and inexperienced, and there is a difference between being a bad leader and an inexperienced leader," Ozpin said looking at him.

"Then wouldn't it have made more sense to place me in charge of team JNPR? At least Ruby seems confident, Jaune doesn't seem to have the confidence of a leader," King said looking at Ozpin. When he said this Ozpin signed and looked at him.

"Confidence has to be self taught it can not be learned from others," Ozpin said looking at him. King sighed hearing his and looked at the male in front of him.

"I see your point, but answer me this and I want an honest answer. Is it my skills you want, or is Jacques paying you to let me in?" King asked looking at the male in front of him. He wouldn't mind if Jacques was paying to let him in but he wanted a direct answer from him.

"I can assure you that I'm letting you in on my own accord. Jacques has little to do with this matter," Ozpin said looking at King. When he said this King sighed somewhat relieved but still overall unhappy that he was given a special position, mainly because he knew Weiss was going to think he had something to do with it.

King then walked over to the four females in front of him and sighed. "Hello, so my name is King, I caught some of your names already but just to be sure I know them and don't have them confused, why don't you introduce yourselves again," King said looking at the females in front of him.

"Oh well my name's Ruby," the youngest of the four said.

"I'm Yang, Ruby's older sister," the blonde said looking at him.

"My name is Blake," the third female said looking at him. King nodded hearing this and looked at the three. After a few moments of silence the three females turned to look at Weiss and she looked at them a little confused.

"What?" She asked looking at them.

"Weiss don't be rude, introduce yourself," Ruby said looking at the female.

"There's no need, I'd think my own brother would recognize me. After all it's only been about a day since we last saw each other," Weiss said looking at the three. When she said this Ruby and Yang looked at her a bit surprised. Blake was also slightly surprised by this fact but she managed to hide it better than the other to.

"Okay, so Ruby I believe Ozpin told you were we'd be staying," King asked looking at the female. When he said this the female nodded and began to walk down one of the many halls that Beacon had.

As they were walking they came across several men and women that they could only guess were already students. However as they were walking King accidentally ran into two figures and looked at them.

"Sorry, I wasn't really paying attention to where I was going," King said looking at the two figures in front of him.

"So Weiss why is your brother so much nicer than you?" Ruby asked looking at the white haired female in front of her. Yang chuckled slightly hearing this and looked at the female as they continued.

"It's fine," was the only response that King received and looked up to see two figures in front of him. Two males one with white hair and and brown eyes and one with red hair and blue eyes.

As the three stared at each other King started to feel a little nervous, as to why one of the males was staring at him. "Something wrong Ace?" The red haired male asked looking at his partner.

"N-no," the male said looking at King. Admittedly Ace was a little concerned seeing the male in front of him. He wasn't sure, but he looked a lot like the child he had seen on that night.

"Come on, King we don't have time to waste," Weiss said looking at the male in front of her. She then walked over to the male and Ace was now sure of it. Seeing both of them together made him certain that the two he was staring at were the same two that he had seen escape the white fang all those years ago.

"R-right," King said looking at the female in front of him.

"Well my name is Kyle," the red haired make said introducing himself. "And this is my partner Ace," he said gesturing to the male who was staring at King and Weiss. "And we're half of team CAKE," Kyle said looking at the few figures in front of him.

"Oh, well nice to meet you I guess," King said as he felt a tug on his shirt. Knowing it was Weiss he sighed and walked past the two. However as he walked away Ace couldn't help but notice the similarities that King shared to that child he saw all those years ago.

"Wait," Ace said looking at the few figures in front of him. "King, I want to challenge you," Ace said looking at the male in front of him. Kyle was a little shocked to hear this. However he had known Ace for some time and didn't doubt that he knew what he was doing.

"Why?" King asked as he turned around slightly surprised.

"Just want to get a feel of how strong the students are this year," Ace said looking at King, when he said this the white hair male nodded and looked at him. He could tell there was another motive to wanting to fight him but his reasons are his own so he wasn't going to question them.

"Wait," Weiss said looking at the two in front of her. "What makes you think you can challenge King?" Weiss asked looking at the two.

"Umm," Ace began a little confused.

"What if one of us wanted to fight you before you fight King?" Weiss asked looking at the two in front of her. King looked at the figure in front of him a little questioningly. She usually wasn't this particular about who King fought, or maybe she just wanted to fight. Either way this seemed a little out of character for her.

"Well if you want to fight as well we could just make it a two on two match," Kyle said looking at the female in front of him.

"If that's true then it doesn't really make much sense for me to fight. After all you and Ruby are partners, not me" King said looking at the white haired female beside him. Not sure of what to do King sighed hearing this and turned to the youngest female.

"Ruby, your thoughts," King asked looking at her. After all this wasn't really his call to make. He was only supposed to overturn any decisions made by her if he thought they could prove fatal or unwise. This however for him was an opportunity to see how she thought.

The young female stared at him a little unsure of what to say before she finally came to a decision of what to say.
