i walked into the locker room and set my stuff down. nalyssa got her car and im really happy for her and she really looked happy to get it.

"I REMEMBER WHEN MY HEART BROKE" tip yelled making me laugh.

"I REMEMBER WHEN I GAVE UP LOVING YOU" a'ja yelled.

"MY HEART COULDN'T TAKE NOMORE OF YOU I WAS SAD AND LONELY" syd yelled.

"I REMEMBER WHEN I WALKED OUT" kb yelled.

"I REMEMBER WHEN I SCREAMED I HATED YOU" i yelled.

"BUT SOMEHOW DEEP INSIDE STILL LOVING YOU SAD AND LONELY" we all yelled.

"PERIODDD" kate yelled.

"who broke yall heart ??" kiah asked making us laugh.

"girl we just vibing" chelsea said.

"and you being lame" kp yelled.

"wtv" kiah said laughing.

"guys queen just texted me talm bout some can i send her some money like girl" tip said making us laugh.

"i miss that gal" ac said through her little country accent that happens to come out every once in a while.

when nalyssa requested a trade becky instantly picked her up so that mean we got nalyssa for queen. and queen was drafted to indiana her rookie year so she was actually happy to go back to where she started at.

i really miss her and we keep in touch so much but everything happens for a reason and ik she will be great in indiana.

and getting nalyssa isn't bad at all lol. iykyk she can really get it down on both ends of the court. defense on 100 tho period.

"but we are so happy we have you" kp said to nalyssa making her nod.

"right tell ac don't dtm. i will beat her for you" syd said.

"good practice today boo" i said to nalyssa.

"thank you. i really enjoyed making you eat my dust" she said making me laugh.

"yeah yeah you got it" i said laughing.

we walked side by side to our vehicles. it's only been 2 weeks but she's starting to get the hang of the teams shenanigans lol.

"im so hungry" she mumbled.

"okay let's go eat" i said.

"that's fine but im gonna go shower first" she said and i nodded.

"me too text me which restaurant you choose" i said and she nodded.

i got into my car and headed home. the team made it known to lyss that we didn't mind being patient with her and not to rush to do anything she not ready for.

but i think she'll definitely get use to it eventually. i walked inside and went upstairs. walking into the bathroom i started my shower and then went to grab some clean clothes.

i felt my phone vibrate so i picked it up.

lyssa🖤: hey um i keep hearing things will you come over ?? you can shower here.

jack🦋: ofc yk i gotchu boo. don't freak just keep yo doors locked and find something to distract you. im otw 🤞🏾.

i quickly turned off the shower and grabbed my clothes, phone, and keys and headed to my car. ik that lyss is freaking out right now so im trying to get there as quick as possible.

6 minutes later i pulled up knocking on the door lightly.

"who is it ?" she asked.

"it's me love" i said and she opened the door letting me in.

"thanks for coming" she said lowly.

"ofc you ain't gone nothing to worry about" i said hugging her.

"okay you can shower first" she said and i thanked her.

i walked to the bathroom and shut the door as i waited for the water to get hot and once i did i undressed and got in.

after showering i walked out and nalyssa was sitting on her bed. she was definitely in her thoughts.

"hey you okay ?" i asked snapping her out of her thoughts.

"oh huh ?" she said.

"you okay ?"

"oh yeah.. just thinking" she said and i nodded cus i didn't wanna be to pushy.

she got up and grabbed some clean clothes going into the bathroom and my phone went off and it was a'ja.

aja🫶🏾: hey why yo location say you not at home ???

jackie❤️: girl im GROWNN. first of all & second of all bcus im at nalyssa's house. she texted me and told me she was hearing things and asked me to come over. we about to go eat when she get out the shower.

aja🫶🏾: oh okay thought you was being fast. well enjoy and be safe. im finna take me a good ole nap 🥳🥳🥳🥳.

jackie❤️: its not fast if im grown heffa 😒. but thank you and we will. enjoy your nap bookie.

she hearted the message and i sat my phone down shaking my head and laughed. idk why it's so hard for them to let me be grown lol.

we sat down and looked at the menu. my leg was bouncing 150 mph. idk why but i've always had anxiety and it only got worse after the attack.

"girl stop.. you good" she said.

"sorry i have really bad anxiety" i said.

"i understand but you're safe with me" she said and i nodded.

we ordered our food and she was scrolling on her phone. all i could do was stare cus she's so pretty. my phone vibrated making me pick it up.

lil sis🥰: hey you okay ?

big sissy🩷: yes, im out eating with jackie.

lil sis🥰: okay have fun and call me later🫶🏾.

big sissy🩷: thank you and i will🤞🏾.

"so you're sister is janiah right ?" jack asked breaking the comfortable silence.

"yeah. we're really close but she's that annoying little sister" i said.

"yep i understand. i have a little sister too. all she does is bug me when we're together, blow my phone up, and ask for money" she said making me chuckle.

"so i have a question" i said.

"ask me love" she said.

"how come you're so nice to me ?? like you hang out with, gave me rides to and from practice and now you're eating lunch with me".

"i can call you if i need you.. you're really shy and i thought maybe you'd be the last one i'd open up to". i asked.

"idk when we got the news that yk you went through such a traumatic experience it was important for me to help you realize you belong".

"you're not alone and you are worth so much. and i think this will help me come out of my comfort zone as well." she said.

"i been here for 6 years and im just now opening up but the team was so patient with me. and now im not really that shy anymore" she added.

"well i appreciate you for being here and being patient with me. ik that im a little dry right now but im working on it" i said.

"don't rush baby. take as much time as you need yk imma be here no matter what" jack said.

"thank you" i told her and she nodded.

a few minutes later our food came. it was really me taking the time to open up to her about my life. but im waiting to save the trauma part until later cus i don't wanna spoil the mood.
