today is me and jackie's 1 year anniversary. 1 year already is crazy but super grateful no matter the circumstances.

i planned a date for us and im excited for her to see it and the presents i got her.

"okay we're done" kb said.

"thank you twin, i appreciate it" i said.

"ofc yk i gotchu. now you should head home to shower i just got make sure her flowers get here and then everything will be ready" she said.

"bet thank you" i said. i grabbed my phone to text jackie and tell her get dressed.

bae💕: hey mama, im picking you up for a date at 6:30 so be ready🥳.

i hearted the message and headed home to shower and get dressed. it's been a week and some days since the whole cutting and tbh i have been doing better in healing.

talking to my counselor has helped as well and i have been focusing on healing because i was really at one of my lowest points in life.

after getting dressed i put on deodorant, lotion and sprayed on some perfume cus even tho im masculine im still a female and i dont want nb getting that twisted. i put on my jewelry and headed out.

heading to jackie's apartment i let her know i was otw and the time read 6:16 p.m. im excited for her to see what i set up for her.

5 minutes later i pulled up and knocked on the door. she was wearing a black dress and her hair was freshly done along with her lashes.

"you look beautiful" i said hugging her.

"thank you baby. & you look good" she smiled kissing my cheek. i thanked her and grabbed her hand leading her to my car.

i opened the door for her and she thanked me and i got into the drivers seat heading to the restaurant.

"i love when you bring out the extra feminine side" i said as she interlocked our fingers.

"and i love when you bring out your extra masculine side. cus this suit look so good on you boo" she said.

"thank you mama" i smiled and she nodded.

once we got there i opened her door for her and we walked into the restaurant hand in hand. but i rented the balcony for the night.

"omg we're eating on a balcony ?? how'd you pull this off ?" she asked.

"rented it lol. i thought it would be nice to eat around candles but also see the beautiful lights of Las Vegas" i said handing her flowers.

"aww thank you baby. i love them" she smiled staring at them and i smiled and nodded.

i pulled her chair out for her and she sat down thanking me. the light in her eyes is why i decided to be extra and do all this for her.

the waitress brought us our food which happens to be my homegirl that work here but jack don't know that.

"thank you" we both said and she smiled and nodded and smirked at me making me laugh cus she so messy lol.

"thank you for all this mama. it means so much and im super grateful for you." jackie said.

"ofc anything for you beautiful. you really got me through most of the hardest days of my life and idk what i would do without you" i said.

"happy 1 year honey" she said grabbing my hand from across the table.

"happy 1 year boo" i said handing her one of her gifts. she gasped and stared at me.

i watched as she opened it a smile spreading across her beautiful face.

"omg i love it" she whispered.

"yeah, it's a promise ring i thought it would fit you. this is my promise to love you and do right by you for the rest of my life." i said.

"omg thank you. i love you." she said leaning across the table to kiss me.

"i love you more" i smiled as she stared at her promise ring that sat on her ring finger.

"basically married now" she said to herself making me giggle.

"so the ring gets more attention then me now ?? wow okay" i said.

"ohh sorry baby. it's just so beautiful" she said smiling at me.

"it's fine im kidding" i said as i stared at her nails. they were done and the color was white my favorite.

"so you gone lemme give you a extra treat tonight" i asked smirking at her.

"hmm i wonder what that could be" she said pecking my lips.

"i cannot believe you wore heels. definitely did not see that coming" i said.

"lol it's a special date and it's our 1 year so i wanted it to be special and extra for you" she said.

"well you look beautiful" i said making her blush.

"thank you love" she smiled.

we ate and talked mostly about our goals and what we wanted and saw for our future and ofc we saw us still together happily.

"okay" i said as i finished setting up nalyssa's surprise.

"omg she's gonna love this" a'ja squealed.

"right, this is so cute. i just love yall" kp said making me smile.

"thank you boo" i smiled.

"this makes my heart so happy. i wish i had someone do this for me" kp said laughing.

"one day baby girl. one day" i said and she nodded.

"okay nalyssa just texted me and said she almost here" i said.

"okay have fun stink" a'ja yelled and kp quickly went to the door.

"thank you. & thanks for the help bookies" i said.

"anytime boo" kp said. i made sure everything looked perfect and not long after i heard her knock which confused me cus she has a key.

i excitedly went to the door and opened it. she smiled at me and i wrapped my arms around her.

"hey ma" she said kissing my forehead.

"hey sexy come in" i said as she closed the door. i grabbed her hand and led her to my room.

"you wanna watch a c- omg what is this" she said laughing as she hid her face.

"happy 1 year baby" i said hugging her.

"thank you for this i love it" she said hugging me tightly.

"ofc yk imma always show how much i appreciate you boo" i said.

she took the time to admire the decorations and she took pics and i took pics of her admiring cus she just so cute.

walking to the bed, i watched her open her gifts. she told me not to get her nun cus she got everything she want but she really thought i was gone listen to her ?? yeah no boo.

"happy 1 year to my wife guys. 1 year down and forever to go" she said to her camera and then putting it on me.

"you look good" i said smirking.

"you look good. like the most gorgeous girl in the world. ionk yall i got the baddest wife out period." she said making me blush.

"i love you" i said as she pulled me into her kissing me.

"i love you more" she said softly.

"guys i gotta give yall a haul video cus she done went crazy with the gifts that i told her NOT to get me" she said making me giggle.

"aww come on baby yk i wasn't not gonna get you anything" i said shaking my head.

i felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket making me pull it out and look at it. i saw nalyssa's sister janiah texted me.

"bye she never tell me how grateful she is for me" nalyssa said making me laugh.

"ohh stop yk she loves you" i said kissing her cheek.

after putting her gifts in the corner of the room we got into bed and i could tell she was sleepy. she's off her sleeping pills so her body is adjusting to not having them right now.

she buried her face in my neck and i turned the tv to home alone just for background noises cus she can't sleep without the tv being on.

"bae don't start" i breathed out as her tongue swept against my neck.

"ian do nun" she said making me roll my eyes.

"mhmm" i said.

"happy 1 year beautiful" she said against my neck.

"mm happy 1 year my love" i breathed out. a few seconds later i could hear her light snores making me giggle.

the perfect night with the perfect girl. i always thought i would only be focused on basketball but then came this girl who stole my heart lol.
