today jackie will be meeting my parents for the first time. idk if she's nervous or not but i am because my dad is definitely hard core when it comes to the girls i date.

my parents came to vegas and surprised me tho so it will just be easier for her to meet them now than to wait til they got back to texas.

"dad please be nice" i said.

"i'm always nice wym ?" my dad asked.

"yeah sure" i said.

"i can't wait to meet her" my mom said making me smile.

"me too, i can't wait to see what she's like" my dad said.

i grabbed my phone too see if jackie was on her way and she texted me to let me know she was.

a few minutes later i heard a knock on the door and ik it was jackie so i went to open it. when i did i saw her standing at the door smiling.

her hair & lashes were freshly done & yup she look so good.

"hey mama come in" i said stepping aside to let her in.

"you look cute" she said kissing my cheek.

"thank you beautiful" i said. i grabbed her hand and led her to the kitchen where my parents were.

"mom dad this is my gf jackie" i said as she squeezed my hand.

"jack this is my mom nikki & my dad rodney" i added.

"it's so nice to meet you finally. nalyssa has told me so much about you" my mom said hugging her.

"it's nice to meet you mrs. smith" jackie said hugging her.

"so you're the one who has my daughter whipped" my dad said making me laugh.

"why do want her ? you planning to hurt her like those other girls ?" he asked making me sigh and shake my head.

"dad don't. you said you'd be nice" i said.

"i am. it's not wrong for me to ask these questions" he replied.

"no sir. i love your daughter and i would never hurt her. i see my future with her and i wanna spend the rest of my life with nalyssa" jack responded making me smile.

she's so smart and so perfect & i just love this woman. definitely marrying her and idc who don't like it.

"i just want you to know what you're dealing with. my daughters been through a lot from trauma to heart breaks" my dad said.

"im very aware of that mr. smith and thats what brought lyss and i together. i can't see myself with anyone else nor do i see myself hurting her ever".

"im willing to deal with all of her emotions that comes with the healing process and i have for almost a year now. it's unfortunate what happened to her & i pray everyday that she gets through it and i let her know that im always here for her no matter what" jackie responded.

and if you thought jackie couldn't say the right words in front of some of the most important people than you thought wrong cus baby girl just ate down fr.

i looked over at my mom who smiled and she looked so proud and then i looked over at my dad but i still couldn't read his facial expression.

"you're alright with me kid" he said making me smile.

"welcome to the family kid" he said hugging her.

"thank you mr. smith & i promise to take care of your daughter no matter what." jack said.

"ik you will. i was just testing you to see if you would back down" he said making me laugh.

"okay come i just finished cooking" my mom said grabbing her hand.

"so how did you two discover the feelings ??" my dad asked.

"well.. after lyss requested a trade vegas picked her up. and when she first got there ofc we were excited to have her but we could tell she was like empty and traumatized bcus she didn't really talk and when she did it was lowly".

"she never made eye contact and she never laughed or smiled. and we already knew why she was traded yk so i decided to yk just be that new teammate she could count on to be there for her".

"she offered to stay with me cus i couldn't sleep and she would take me and from practice and when she did move in we was with each other 24/7 so yk that feelings became stronger" i said.

"well i'm so glad she found someone that ik will do right by her and love her and vice versa." my mom said.

"thank you ma. she's something i've always prayed for" i said.

"yk i got you forever & after baby" she said.

"i cannot wait for the wedding" my dad said.

"woahhh okay dad slow down" i said as we laughed.

im grateful that we both have future in laws who we love and expect us. i always prayed for that 1 girl i could love forever & vice versa.

"it was good. ofc her dad was hardcore lol but i expected it and ik he wants what's best for his daughter and so do i"

"but yk i did express to him how i feel about her and he accepted that. her mom is super sweet she was excited from the beginning" i said.

"yall want a fruit bowl ?" i asked going to the kitchen.

"yes please" they both said and i nodded.

"it's like shy jack never existed" kp said making me laugh.

"im glad tho lol.. im 27 i couldn't deal with being in the house 24/7" i said.

she aggressively typed on her phone making me stare at her. she probably arguing with bam and if so they most definitely toxic.

"oh huh ?" she asked looking up with a confused look on her face.

"what's wrong ?" i asked.

"nothing just a disagreement with my cousin" she said and kp and i looked at each other and shrugged it off.

we both know a'ja and we know when she lying. but im not the type to push so i just let it go and ik that if sum really bothering her she will come talk to us about it.

"i just love when you cut the fruits into cute cubes" kp said making me giggle.

"ehh she did alright" a'ja said making me mug her.

my phone vibrated in my lap. i grabbed it and saw nalyssa's name on the screen so i clicked on her message.

i hearted the message and through my phone down beside me.

"so lyss wants me to go to a concert with her and ofc i said yes.. guess who we're going to see" i said.

"kehlani ?" kp asked.

"no good guess tho, going to see her soon" i said.

"mmm toosii pop ??" a'ja said making me giggle.

"lol no chris brown" i said.
