i walked into the locker room and set my stuff down. every since kb and i made up it's been so peaceful and that's all i wanted.

"good morning heffas" syd said making us laugh.

"morning syd" i said giggling.

"hey you wanna play 2k after practice" kb asked sitting beside me.

"yup im down." i said and she nodded.

i changed into my aces shirt and shorts & then my basketball shoes.

"yall bamonte mad at me" a'ja said making me look up.

"why what happened ?" i asked.

"so he had a game last night and i had a session like an hour before and i told him yk i was probably gone be late to watching it and he was like okay".

"yall my trainer wore tf outta me. it lasted almost 3 hours so when i got home i showered, brushed my teeth and got in bed to watch the game soon as i hit the bed i was out" she said making us laugh.

"lord and what happened ?" tip asked.

"he called 20x cus he thought sum was wrong and he was texting literally freaking out cus i told him i was watching the game"

"woke up this morning texted him back and he was not going for it. i said that my training ran late and i ended up falling asleep he ain't gaf" a'ja said.

"he said that i was wrong asf, and i couldn't even watch his game and i was watching it from home and that he never missed one of my games and that my priorities are messed up".

"girl tell bam to chill tf out. like yeah he want his gf to be there to support him understood but he act like you missed it on purpose." jackie said.

"is he ignoring you ??" ac asked.

"idk but he told me he was gonna gonna train with some of his teammates so i don't think so but i doubt he'll text me when he done" a'ja replied.

"he trippin" chelsea said.

"nahh fr. like we understand why he upset but he don't gotta act like you miss ts on purpose when you didn't" kp said.

"i say let him cry about until he stop being childish and talk about it" i said.

"PERIOD LYSSS" they yelled making me giggle.

"im so glad i got a mature one cus baby" jack said shaking her head.

"okay let's go guys" ty said as he had his eyes covered.

"nb naked ty we promise" jack said as we laughed.

"ohh my bad. hurry up yall wasting time" he said tapping his watch.

we walked out and jack helped me stretch cus lately my body has been so sore. she pushed my leg backwards and it was starting to hurt.

"that hurt baby ?" she asked looking at me and i nodded.

after stretching we warmed up and started practicing. or more like h*ll cus becky don't play that but yeah.

we started with defensive drills. i was holding kiah and she went to lay it up pushing me.

"dang give me breast cancer" i said holding them.

"it's basketball" she said.

"girl no tf it ain't, that's you can't get by that good defense so you push off tf. i had enough of that with caitlin" i said.

"okay guys stop both of yall" jackie said.

"she's right kiah it's not really apart of basketball unless you got tight defense on you and you can't get by them but i understand if it's a habit and you can't help it".

"and lyss you're good baby it ain't no reason to be p*ssed off it happens but yk she ain't mean to hurt you on purpose" she said and i nodded.

"thank you jackie. i didn't know you talked that much" becky said making us laugh.

we continued the drills and then moved on to working on our jumpers and fade aways. and then we worked on our 3 pointers and free throws as well.

i rested my hands on my knees slowly taking the time to catch my breath.

"you good ?" kp asked patting my back and i nodded.

"yeah just extra hot today" i said standing up. i walked towards the bench slowly.

"woah you okay baby" jackie said holding my waist.

"yeah probably overdid it" i said sitting down.

"it's them 1 a.m. to 4 workouts you need to rest your body mama" she said handing me my water.

"yeah" i mumbled.

"SMITH , go get some air we don't need nobody passing out" becky yelled.

"aht aht now" becky said making my sigh. i got up and walked towards the exit.

"jackie go with her & make sure she good".

"im not a baby i can go by myself" i said as jackie grabbed my hand.

"so since we're out here how are you and kb ? like i seen the happy side of yall friendship but like any problems ??" she asked.

"no we're good. i love kb and i feel like she the homegirl i been wanting my whole life especially since we got the same fashion style we really bond over clothes" i said.

"aww im happy for both of yall" she smiled as we held hands. i took a deep breath and exhaled.

"you okay ?" she asked and i nodded.

"yeah im good we can go back now" i said and she nodded kissing my cheek.

we walked in and then we finished up practice with a 5 on 5 scrimmage with our 2 subs ofc. it was jackie, tip, kp, a'ja, syd and kiah vs chelsea, me, ac, kb, megan and kate.

megan and a'ja jumped and megan hit it to ac who dribbled and passed it to chelsea who passed it to me and she i a reverse layup.

"heyyy" they yelled high fiving me. although we on different teams i still didn't feel ready and so them hyping me up gives me more confidence.

"good job bae" she whispered and i thanked me smiling.

after practice we headed into the locker room. today was definitely one for the books minus me almost falling out.

"good job today lyss. you killed it" ac said.

"thank youu bookie" i smiled.

"that monster block that you did on jackie was it boo" kb said being messy.

"messy ahh" jack said laughing.

"nah the stare down was sick" syd said.

"man ian even mean to do it, it's just a habit that competitiveness coming out" i said.

i walked into her room and saw her in bed sleeping peacefully making my smile. she's so cute. after she got dizzy in practice she's been sleeping a lot more and resting her body.

quietly closing the door, i got into bed beside her careful not to wake her up. i lightly rubbed her neck hoping she would sleep at least one more hour.

my phone vibrated on my lap making me pick it up.

myg'🖤: hey is lyss okay ?? she didn't text me back.

my dawg🫶🏾: yes she's sleeping. i didn't think she would sleep this long but workouts really drained her 😫.

myg'🖤: okay well lmk when she wakes up cus we're going shopping !!

"not asking about me is crazy work" i said to myself. i scrolled on tiktok and lyss started to stir from her sleep.

"hey mama how was your sleep" i asked her.

"it was good, really needed that" she mumbled into my neck.

"that's good. kb texted me and she said you two are going shopping" i said making her sit up.

"ouu im gonna go shower" she said excitedly making me giggle.

every since her and kb made up it's like their besties and ofc not replacing lyss's best friend kelsey. she did tell me that she felt like kb was the only one who understood her other than kelsey.

and friendship wise, clothes wise and more. and im okay with that im happy she found someone she can really go to if she can't talk to me since kelsey is in indiana.

10 minutes later she came out making me smile. and come to think about it that's my shirt she wearing.

"is that my shirt ??" i asked laughing.

"yeah i hope you don't mind" she said putting on her perfume.

"you look amazing baby" i said wrapping my arms around her neck.

"you really think so ?"

"ofc kind makes me wish you could stay" i said fixing her hair a little. we heard a horn and she grabbed her phone and keys.

"okay have fun, be safe. i love you" i said pecking her lips.

"i love you more" she smiled. i waved her goodbye and kb.

i grabbed my phone and keys and headed to a'ja house. once i got there they were sitting on the couch.

"hey girl come sit we got pizza" a'ja said.

"so bam ??" i asked.

"nothing" she mumbled.

"he still p*ssed about a game ?? see i couldn't cus like why are we acting like this ??" i said shaking my head.

"girl yes and im just like okay" a'ja said.

"yeah meanwhile she be in the bed crying her eyes out" kp said making us laugh.

"so where's lyss at ??" kp asked.

"her and kb went shopping. they been raiding each others closets for a hot minute now lol" i said smiling.

"so i've noticed that like one of my breasts has a bigger size than the other. i got out of the shower and put on my bra and one side just like stuck out while the other didn't" i said pulling up my bra.

"is that normal or ???" i asked.

"yeah, my cousin has one bigger than the other one. it's called breast asymmetry. nothing you should be concerned about some women just have it" kp said.

"well dang. that's tacky bro what if nalyssa find it disturbing" i said rolling my eyes.

"okay but he apologized and he went to anger management for me".

"yeah he went for a day. didn't even last the whole 4 hours. he did ts so you would forgive him cus he knew he was wrong" a'ja said.

"anyways i want some chocolate chip cookies, we should go get some cus talking about this p*ss me off all over again" i said.

we got up and we took my car cus it was easier for me to just back up and leave. a'ja sat in the front seat cus ofc she's tall.

"yall always put me in the back" kp whined.

"girl cus you small asf" i said fixing my rear view mirror.

we went to mcdonald's cus we all love their chocolate chip cookies the most. i haven't heard from kb nor lyss and i think that maybe their enjoying their time together with no phones.

but it was still be nice for them to let me know they good cus it be so many shootings at malls it's mostly why i stopped going so often.
