Recap: The party - Meenakshi slapping her aunty - Abhi knowing the truth.

Abhiram's PoV: At Morning
I was coming from washroom when I noticed Meenu talking to someone on the balcony. I went towards her to find no one there apart from my wife. But surprising me she was talking to herself.

"Listen Meenakshi. You can do this. Dont listen to what your stupid husband says. If you have a strong will to do something, you can accomplish it."she said to herself with cute expressions.

"Just wait. The whole world is going to be shocked."she snapped her fingers and I chuckled little louder. It gained her attention and she turned towards me with a pout.

"Here comes my mood spoiler."she muttered.

I moved towards her.
"What madam. Need any motivation? Your husband is always on your service."

"No need. Only because of your coffee idea, I am suffering now."she said.

"What? It was not my idea. You decided it. And who the hell on earth will drink only coffee from morning to night? You like ice cream. Isn't it? That means are you going to eat ice cream one per each hour till the end of the day."

She whined.
"You are a bad husband. This is not supposed to be the way you should behave when your wife is going through a lot."she pouted making me giggle.

"Oh seriously? How do I know that my wife is going through a lot if she decides to not tell me."I gave a surprised look.

"Normal husbands would know. But you won't"

"Ofcourse. I am the not the husband of any normal girl. I married someone from Mars. Next week I am planning a trip to my wife's place. Do you like to join me?"

"Everything is a joke for you."she shouted.
"Not more than you madam."
She started whining again and I held her hands.

"Ok ok. Now tell me. What's your problem?"I asked.

"No coffee can impress your mother."she stated.

"What? Did you again make coffee for her? Didn't I tell you to not?"I asked little serious.

"No Ram. Morning I went to kitchen to help her. But she was ignoring me all the time. She behaved like I was not existing there eventhough I made many sounds. Atlast I asked her."

I widened her eyes.
"What did you ask?"

"I asked whether she want me to join her to visit an eye hospital."

I laughed.

"Dont laugh"she glared at me and I regained a serious face.
"Ok what did she tell?"

"She scolded me for misbehaving yesterday at the party. And she showed me her big red face. The one that was similar to you when I see you on the sea shore for the first time. I thought you got that from your dad. But I was mistaken. You inherited your anger from your mother. Why the whole Khannas are scaring such a poor Meenakshi?"

She said with cute expressions and I couldn't resist myself from kissing her both cheeks. She looked at me wondered.

"When did you actually scare eventhough I tried my best to scare you?"I asked pulling her cheeks.

"See. I am serious. I need to do something."she declared.

"This time I am not saying anything. Your wish. Because I believe you."I assured her.

She raised her eyebrows at me stating "Still you believe me?"
I chuckled and nodded my head.
"Always"

"I know what's your mom's real problem. For getting her on our side, I decided something."she said pretending to be thinking.

This time I raised my brows at her.
"I decided to be a normal ordinary daughter in law like she wants."

I widened my eyes and then bursted into a laugh.
"Are you joking?"I asked still laughing.

"No I am damn serious."she shouted.

"You can't Meenu."

"I can."she yelled.

"As if I allow you to"

"You should Ram."

"Meenu. You are mad. You have no idea how boring you will be if you are normal like other girls."

"Let's see. Answer me for my one question. Will you stop loving me if I become normal?"she asked coming closer to me.

I looked at her in surprise.
"Why are you not answering?"she pouted.

"Do whatever you wants. I don't care as long as you are mine. But remember one thing. Be normal infront of anyone. But if you try to be normal infront of me, I will kill you for sure. I want you to be always that same crazy Meenakshi whom I fall in love with. Understand?"I asked seriously.

"Ok Done"she thought for a moment and then kissed my cheek making me smile.

I was getting restless each passing hour at office. I insisted her to come with me. But she took a leave to prove infront of mom that she left her craziness. What a lady? I hope mom won't make another issue out of this.

While thinking about calling Meenu, I noticed my phone ringing. I saw mom's caller ID and it didn't took me another second to attend the call.

"Mom.... Everything ok there?"I asked out of worry.
"Yeah."she replied.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes Abhi. I just called to hear your sound."

I sighed in relief.
"Why did you ask me?"she asked.
"Mom, this is not the first day I am coming to office. You didn't feel to hear my sound before. Why today?"
I asked realizing that she have something to ask me. But why she is not asking openly?

"It's nothing Abhi."she said.
"Ok are you now satisfied hearing my sound?"
"Yes"
"Then can I end the call? I have some important jobs to finish before evening."

"Ah..yes..you can...by the way why Meenakshi is so silent today? Did you fight with her or is she sick? Why can't you bring her to an hospital? She is so quiet and different today."

So that's it. Mom called me to check whether Meenakshi is ok. That means she already started her plans? I thought she was joking when she informed me this.

Suddenly an idea popped up in my mind. I decided to use mom's concern on her.

"Mom, if you feel that she is not ok why can't you ask her directly? Why asking me?"I asked in a serious tone.

"Abhi, why are you speaking like you don't have any responsibility on her?"

"Because I am fed up with her mom. Just like you. Dont you remember what she did yesterday? For that same reason you both scolded me. That's why I shouted at her. And you don't worry. She won't repeat anything. I strictly ordered her to stop all her stupidities and behave like a good daughter in law like my mom. You don't need to worry about her anymore. She stopped everything that was making you worry."I said controlling my laugh.

"But Abhi. You shouldn't have do that. Why did you shout at her?"

Do mom have a soft corner for her? But she didn't show me anything when she was angry yesterday.

"Mom please. Dont behave like you don't anything. You were the one who said that she made us lost our reputation. She actually made us embarrassed infront of all our guests. Isn't it? It's my duty to make sure that she dont trouble my family. And I am doing that only."

"Ok Abhi. Let's talk later."
She ended the call.

I understood that mom is not hating Meenu for her actions. It's just that situations make her do. I felt happy. Because there is a hope now that slowly things will fall into its place.

I took my phone and typed.
"Continue what you are doing now. Try to become normal as per mom wants. Its working babe"
I sent the message to Meenu.

"Ok my abnormal husband"she replied.

3 Days Later:
"Meenu, don't trouble anyone here. If you want to do something crazy, go and lock yourself in a room. Dont forget that how angry I can be."Abhi said faking anger at Meenu. He looked at his parents sitting at the other side through the corner of his eyes. They both looked at him with a pale face.

"I won't Ram. I am a good girl from past three days. Dont you know?"she winked at her husband without others notice.

He tried to control his laugh.

"Abhi, why are you always scolding her?"Mahesh spoke standing up from the couch.

"If I didn't, I will always get scolded by my parents. Dont you know?"he asked back.

Dhana and Mahesh looked at each other before lowering their head.

"Meenu now I am going to office. Once again I am reminding you dont even think about doing what your heart says. If you can't control yourself, then I know ways to do that."he glared at her.

She sent a flying kiss to him when his parents were looking at the other side. He widened his eyes.

"I am going"he walked out to reach his car.

"Hey Mr. Strict husband."
He was about to open the car door when he heard her calling from his back. He stopped and a smile occupied his face.

She came towards him and stood facing him.
"What if the locked door gets jammed? Can I escape through the window?"she asked raising her eyebrows.
He bursted into laugh.

"How long will we have to continue this?"she asked pouting.
"It's not so easy to act as not crazy. It's better I really changes."she added.

"And then I would have to really scold you. For being foolish."

She pouted.

"Its just a matter of few more days. Cant you see how sad mom and dad are now? Their heart already melted. It's just that they need to realize it. Everything will be ok soon."he assured her.

She smiled.
"I have a big thanks to tell you. For loving me unconditionally and then...."her words cut off by him.

"Keep your thanks with yourself. And give me it after I return back from office."
He leaned towards her.
"As kisses"he whispered into her ears making her blush.

"Good bye darling"he kissed her cheek before entering into the car and driving away.

It's a Sunday morning when Abhi along with his family was having breakfast.

"Dad I have scheduled the meeting with Mr.Shetty to next Wednesday. Is it ok for you? Actually I want you too to attend it since he was your old friend."Abhi said having a cup of tea.

"Yeah sure. I will come. We should also invite him for a dinner here at home after the meeting."Mahesh spoke.

Dhana who was least interested in business gave a frowned face. Meenakshi who was silently having the tea made a sound by hitting her tea cup with the table. Abhi and his father looked at her. She again made another sound and started enjoying it.

"Meenu what are you doing? Can't you see here we are talking important matters? When would you grow up Meenu?"
Abhi faked anger taking it as a chance. Meenu who got shocked for a moment later decided to act along.

"Leave it Abhi. She haven't done anything that makes you irk. This is unnecessary."Mahesh said in a stern tone.

"You don't know dad. This crazy girl always behave immature."he declared and she sent a glare at him secretly.

"Abhi stop this. Now a days you are behaving like she is your slave, not wife. Dont think that she too have rights to do what she wants."his mom said this time.

Abhi felt happy inwardly.
"Mom. Dont you know the consequences if she starts doing what she wants? I know finally I would be the one who should answer for all this."

"And Meenu dont even think about coming outside the room when Mr.Shetty visits us. I don't know what you are planning to do on him. Already we lost our reputation once because of you. I don't want you to repeat it."He said in a strict tone.

"Abhi just stop this. What do you think about yourself? Even if we scold her it should be you who should support, protect and console her. And now see the way you are being harsh on her. I don't think she deserve all this for her small mistakes."his mom shouted at him.

He looked at her with wonder. Meenu was trying hard to believe that it's real.

"Mom but what about our reputation?"he asked with widened eyes.

"Whatever it is, our daughter is more important to us than reputation and wealth."His dad said sternly.

"Do you both suffer from some kind of multiple personality syndrome?"he asked making Meenu giggle.

"Not only us. You too."his mom said making him pout.

"I dont want to see you shouting at your wife anymore. Understand? Even when we were fighting, it was only your mom shouting at me. Not the other way around. You should also follow that."Mahesh said.

"Mahesh......"Dhana glared.
He smiled.

"And stop prohibiting Meenu from everything. She is smart enough to understand what to do and what do not. It was only her actions that made this house alive after your marriage. And suddenly the house feels to be so boring."Mahesh continued.

"Mom are you not hearing what dad is saying? Dont you want a normal daughter in law?"Abhi asked.

Meenakshi stood at a corner in her most innocent avatar.

"Whatever your dad said is true. We will scold anyone if something happens wrong. Not only her even if it's you. May be we are wrong. But that doesn't mean we dont love her. There will be fights and scolds wherever there is love."His mom said making both of them happy.

"And Meenu dont listen to your husband. You are good the way you are. I want you to be your normal self. That's that old crazy one. Not the current Meenu standing infront of me. When you suddenly started behaving different, I understood a truth that I was too enjoying all your craziness. Infact everyone who scolds you actually enjoying it. They are showing their frustration that they couldn't be like you. So be what you are. Not what others want." Dhana said kissing her forehead and hugged her.

"I am sorry mom. I know I hurted you."Meenu said emotionally.

"As long as I am your mom you have right to hurt me. Because parents are meant for that. When Abhi started walking in his childhood, he used to fall each and everywhere. It was not him who got hurted for that, it's me who cried seeing his wounds."Dhana said.

"Mom....."Abhi rushed to her and hugged her tightly.

"It's ok son."both dad and mom hugged Abhi and Meenu together.

"Meenu, I want you to do all arrangements when Mr.Shetty visits us. Do you understand?"Mahesh asked.
"Yes dad."Meenu said smilingly.

"Come Dhana."his dad said.

"Meenu I may afford a crazy daughter in law, but I don't want a boring one."Dhana said with a smile before going along with her husband to their room.

Abhi and Meenu got the meaning of that and smiled.They passed a high- five with each other and then a sweet cute hug.
