"Brooklynn! Breakfast!" my mother screams. I yawn and stretch my arms. I look next to me but then I realize there is no Shawn, I miss him. We live in the same time zone so maybe after school I can Facetime him.

I take a shower and dry my hair. I put make-up on my face, and put my clothes on. Ready to go.

My mother baked eggs for me. "Thank you." "Where is Shawn?" she asks. "He is in Toronto" I say sadly. "You miss him don't you?" I nod, of course I miss him, who wouldn't? "Is Rose home?" My mother shakes her head. "No, she is in Toronto working with Shawn." That is the moment I cry. "Darling he is coming back soon, don't cry." "I miss him mom." "I know, I know." She wipes my tears away. "Now hup, go to Jaden and Cameron." I smile and leave.

I arrive at school and see Jaden and Cameron. "Hey guys!" "Brooklynn!" they scream. They both give me a hug. "I missed you guys." "We missed you more." I smile and give them a hug again. "What class do you have?" I ask. "Gymnastics" Jaden says. "Geography" Cameron says. "Great Cameron I sit next to you." He nods and we say goodbye to Jaden.

"And how are things going with Shawn?" "Good, he is the sweetest." He nods and gives me a friendly push. "Brooklynn is in love woho." I laugh and blush, awkward. "And how is your love life going?" Cameron doesn't say a word, so that means a good thing. "Cameron! Who is the lucky one?!" He blushes. "Sstt, there are other people." I bend closer to his ear. "Who Cameron?" "Okay then, Brian." My eyes are getting bigger. "Wait. Brian, THE Brian we used to hate?" He nods. "He isn't that bad Brook."

"Cameron! He pushed me of the stairs! Remember that bruise I had? It was because of him." "What?! He did that?" I nod. "Yes." "But he is so sweet." "Since when is he gay?" Brian looks immediately at me. "What do you mean with 'since when'?" "Don't you know that Brian and I had a relationship in the past?"

"You, what?!" "Chill, we had a relationship for 2 weeks, because he was a terrible person. That's the reason I hate him and you as my best friend automatically hates him too." Cameron sighs. "Life is complicated Brooklynn." "Oh Cameron, I know, I know."

After school I walk back my to house and see a letter on the table. "Hello?" Nobody answers. I grab the letter and read it.

Okay that's creepy? I walk to my room and see my door is open, it's never open because I always close it. Huh?

I walk through the door and see someone sitting on my bed: Shawn.

"Hello babe." I see him but I can't say a word. "Brooklynn?" Before I know I run to him and kiss him. I'm crying because I missed him so much. "Hey honey, chill it's okay." He wipes my tears away and he pulls me closer to his chest. "I can't live without you" I say. "I can't live without you either." He gives me a kiss. "I missed you Shawn." "Darling, I was only gone for one day." "Too long for me." I smile and give him another kiss.

"Are you tired?" he asks. I shake my head but Shawn nods. "I can see it" he smiles. I roll my eyes and place my head on Shawn's chest. "Do you want to watch a movie?" he asks. I nod and he chooses a movie.

I look at him and give him a smile. He caresses my upper arm and it feels so good. After 5 minutes I fell a sleep. I feel Shawn giving me a kiss on my forehead and continues to caress my arm.

I wake up and Shawn his arms are thightly around me. "Welcome back to earth." I bury myself deeper in his chest. "I need to go darling." "N-no, just a few more minutes." He sighs. "Brooklynn c'mon I really need to go." "Ugh fine." I stand up. He grabs my hand. "Hey, I love you." I give him a little smile. "Love you too."

"See you tonight okay?!" I nod and give him a kiss. "Bye Mendes." "Bye Brook." I wave at him and he leaves.

The moment that Shawn leaves, my mom comes home. She saw a guy leaving, great.

"Who was that?" my mom says. "Shawn." "Wait Shawn is here?" "No he was here, he needed to go." She nods. "Can Shawn stay here for a night?" "Aren't you too young for that?" "Mom c'mon please." "Well, okay then. For one night!" I run to her and give her a hug. "Thank you, thank you!"

I make a cup of tea and head upstairs to my room. I message Jaden and Cameron and we talk a while about Brian. How can Cameron date Brian, he knows what he did to me.

By the way I had two psycho boyfriends: Brian and Nash. They were both so sweet and then they switched. Brian was the craziest one. He abused me and stalked me for a very long time. Every time I talked to a boy he punched the boy and took me away.

Nash was less worser. Sometimes he abused me but only if he was really angry, but he was too jealous. If I was with my friends he was jealous. I both dumped them but Brian is now with Cameron, I don't have a good feeling about it.

"Brooklynn, Shawn is here!" I lay my phone away and head downstairs. There he stands with roses in his hands, he wears a suit. "W-what?" "Go change yourself we have a dinner to go to." I give him a hug and walk back to my room.

I put a red dress on. Put mascara on my face and brush my hair. Ready to go. "Well, damn." I laugh and blush the same time. "Ready?" "Ready." "Have fun kids!" my mom screams.

We walk to Shawn's Jeep and he opens the door for me. "Like the first time remember?" I say. "Of course I remember, how can I forget that?" I sit in his Jeep and he closes the door. "Where are we going to?" "That's a secret."

I put the radio on and Shawn is on it with his new song: Like This. I sing with it and Shawn is smiling. "C'mon Mendes sing with me!" He doubts for a second but then he joins me. We are both singing 'Like This' and it feels so good.

"That was fun" he says. "Yes, it was." "Okay now, close your eyes." Shawn stops the car and opens the door. He lays his hands for my eyes so I can't see a thing. "Okay look." I open my eyes and see whole New York.

"The hill" I whisper. "Our secret place remember?" I smile. "How can I forget that?"
