You Have Me Too

Chapter 30

Louis' POV

   I guess I hit a hard spot in Harry. He is as white as a ghost and looks like he is going to pass out at any given moment. I place a hand to his shoulder. "Why don't we sit down?" He nods and we both sit down next to the door.

   "Harry, I didn't mean to ask that. I know that was an extremely personal question. I'm not going to force you to answer it if you don't want to." Harry places a hand to my knee. "I'm terrified to tell you, but I'm going to anyway since I know.  can trust you and that you know exactly what I've been through.

    Harry takes a deep breath and opens his mouth to speak. "I am gay, I have been since I was 13. Throughout my life, I've always know that I've been different. I tried forcing myself to have girlfriends and to be attracted to them like the way I am to guys, but I can't. By age 13, I finally came to terms with the fact that I'm gay. I told my parents and sister and they were very accepting of me. As for my friends, not so much. They turned on me and beat me up everyday after school. I wanted to fight back, to defend myself, but I was afraid."

    I look at him and notice the pain in eyes, which breaks my heart. "What were you afraid of Harry?" He sighs. "I was afraid of living. I spent my high school years living in fear. Never speaking to anyone other than my teachers because I knew people would be disgusted by me." "Is that what set the path of you becoming a football star?" He laughs weakly. "Actually, it was. Football as actually helped me gain confidence in myself. Thanks to football, I have Zayn who is like my brother." I pull him in for a hug. "You have me too Harry, you have me too. "
