College Here I Come

Chapter 1

Louis' POV

        Today is my first day of college ever and I am so nervous. I'm an awkward geeky dork and I'm scared that I won't be able to make any friends. My mother decided that she wanted to drive me here to help me unload my belongings and move them into my dorm. I insisted many times that she didn't have to, but after 30 minutes of bickering with her, I gave in. "Louis, can you help me with some of the heavier boxes please?" I kiss her on the cheek. "Yes mother."  We manage to carry all the boxes making only one trip, which is amazing. We enter the Beavers building, which is the name of my dorm building. Apparently, all of the dorm buildings are named after animals. I spot my mother starting to fall behind. I turn back and shout. "We're almost there mum. One more hallway to go."

        My mother and I walk down one more hallway and we're at my dorm room.  I notice that I'm in dorm 7, which is awesome because 7 is my favorite number. I grab the keys from my jean pocket and put them in the door. The door clicks open and I now have a view of dorm. Immediately my jaw hits the floor. It's absolutely stunning. I can't believe that I get to live in this gorgeous dorm for the next 4 years. As soon as my mother and I enter the room, I notice a very attractive guy lying on one of the beds, reading a book.  He looks up and smiles. "Hi, you must be my roommate. My name is Liam, but my friends call me Li." He puts his hand out and I shake it. "It's nice to meet you Liam, my name is Louis, but my friends call me Lou." He pats my shoulder. "Lou, has a nice ring to it." 

        Liam then shakes my mother's hand. "You must be Louis' mother. It's nice to meet you." My mother shakes his hand back and smiles. "It's nice to meet you too Liam. You seem like a nice boy." I start to blush a bit at her remark, but Liam simply laughs. "I try my best to be, but thank you very much." After that we all stand in a circle in an awkward silence. My mum finally breaks the silence. "I'm going to go now. I love you Louis. Stay safe and call me at once a day."  She kisses me cheek. "I love you too mum." I pull her in for a tight hug and she starts to cry into my shoulder. I pat her back and whisper in her hear "Mum, I'm going to be okay. Don't worry so much okay." She pulls apart from the hug and wipes away her tears. She nods and then leaves the room. I'm going to miss my mum, but I'm ready to start the next phase of my life.  Adios  horrible high school memories, hello college!
