(Naruto, Jiraiya, Karin and Kin are seen walking around the village.)

Karin: (stern) No way we're gonna allow Naruto to be tainted by your perverted researchs!

Jiraiya: (smiles) Look, I can assure it's not a research travel. There's a woman I have to find, an extraordinary woman.

Kin: Look, count us out, we don't have time to help an old man to find a girlfriend. Naruto is helping us with our training.

Jiraiya: What training?

(Kakashi's clone is seen face to face with Kisame.)

Kisame: My, my, what a surprise... (notices his sharingan) That's how you copied my jutsu. So there's someone besides Itachi who uses those crazy eyes. You're Kakashi, aren't you? The ninja who copies.

Kakashi: You can imagine my surprise to verify a pair of useless bums in a tea house, and find nobody but Itachi Uchiha and Kisame Hoshikagi, the scourge of the Hidden Mist Village.

Kisame: (laughs) Who knew? You know my name. I'm honored.

Kakashi: I suppose the grotesque excuse for a sword is one of the Seven Mist Swordsmen, the so-called Samehaba.

Kisame: (laughs) I heard you and Zabuza had a fight some time ago.

Kakashi: Yeah, we did.

(Kakashi's eyes widen, and he growls in anger as he raises his Samehaba.)

Kisame: Go ahead, I would like to chop you into strips.

Itachi: (turns around) Kisame, knock it off.

Kisame: Eh?

Asuma: Hmm?

Kurenai: Huh?

Itachi: To defeat this man, you'll have to pay a bigger price. Besides, it'll take some time, and the commotion can attract more shinobi. Your method is inefficient and unnecessarily risky. Don't lose focus of our objective.

Kakashi: Let's hear him. What's your objective exactly?

(Kakashi's clone disappears as Itachi turns to the real Kakashi,)

(Kakashi backs away as Itachi draws some shuriken.)

Kakashi: Ninja Art Water Style: Water Wall!

(Kakashi's Water Wall blocks some incoming attacks that seemingly come from Itachi.)

Kakashi: (in mind) His jutsu's speed is incredible, I didn't even see a hand signal. The shuriken was a trick to distract me from his Water Style attack.

Itachi: You're good. Almost anticipated my moves.

(Itachi's clone stabs Kakashi's back.)

Itachi: Almost.

Kurenai: (shocked) A shadow clone. His speed is enormous.

(The Kakashi that got stabbed is revealed to be a water clone, much to Kisame's shock.)

Kisame: (in mind) A water clone? (smirks) I guess my village should be honored for him having copied our jutsu so well.

(Kakashi is seen underwater as Kurenai picks up his kunai.)

Kurenai: Good job, Kakashi.

(He emerges from the water and holds her.)

Kakashi: Step back, Kurenai. That one is the shadow clone.

(Itachi's shadow clone causes an explosion that unleashes a tsunami.)

Asuma: (eyes widen) Kakashi! Kurenai!

(He goes to save them.)

Asuma: (in mind) He blew up his own shadow clone.

(Cut to Naruto, he and Haku prepare to travel.)

Haku: So you're gonna help Jiraiya to find an old acquaintance of his.

Naruto: Precisely.

Haku: I see... a shame we can't bring anyone else.

Naruto: Yeah, anyway...

(Back to the fight, a brief rain is seen upon the battlefield.)

Kurenai: Are you alright?

(She then notices Itachi behind him.)

Kakashi: Face it. This guy became the boss of the ANBU Hunters when he was 13 years old.

Asuma: Alright, he's tough, we understand.

Kakashi: (scoffs) Tough? You didn't see a half of what he can do.

Itachi: For someone who isn't a Uchiha, you controlled well the sharingan. However, not being one of us, you don't have our physical strength, and that's something you can't copy.

Kakashi: (in mind) He's right. My body doesn't have the strength.

Itachi: Why is the Uchiha Clan known for everyone and feared by everyone? I'll show you what the Sharingan can do when executed by a true blood heir.

(Itachi slowly opens his eyes.)

Kakashi: (in mind) Ah, it can't be. Oh no. (normal tone) Close your eyes. Don't look at his eyes.

(Asuma and Kurenai gasp, and then they close their eyes.)

Kakashi: Listen, both of you, no matter what happens, don't look. If you stare into his eyes, you're finished. I'll have to do this myself. My Sharingan against his. 

Itachi: Your skills are indeed impressive. Might even be enough to resist Mangekyo Sharingan. However, there's something you can't defend against. There's a Sharingan special jutsu named Tsukuyomi, the realm of nightmares. Only someone with Sharingan and Kekkei Genkai can defeat me.

(Suddenly the sky becomes red, and the clouds go black as Kakashi finds himself tied on a cross as an hallucination of Itachi is seen holding a katana.)

Itachi: I wonder how much someone without the Kekkei Genkai can take.

(He gets stabbed, but then some seconds later, the stab is somehow undone.)

Kakashi: (in mind) So it was just genjutsu.

(Two Itachis are seen at the same time.)

Itachi: At Tsukuyomi, the realm of nightmares... (stabs Kakashi) time and space... (his clone stabs Kakashi) even physical matter, I control them all.

(Both Itachis keep stabbing Kakashi with katanas.)

Itachi: The next 72 hours won't be anything but this. Repeated times.

(They keep stabbing Kakashi until he wakes up and sees another himself about to be stabbed by the two Itachis.)

Kakashi: (in mind) This is...

Itachi: At Tsukuyomi, the realm of nightmares... (stabs Kakashi) time and space... (his clone stabs Kakashi) even physical matter, I control them all.

Kakashi: (in mind) Relax, it's just genjutsu.

Itachi: Telling yourself it's an illusion will do you good. (a third Itachi stabs Kakashi) Pain is pain, call it as you wish. Do you feel it less deeply thinking it's not real? (A fourth Itachi stabs Kakashi) I wonder how long will it take until your spirit is broken?

(Kakashi stares at the moon, and then various Kakashis are tied at the cross as the real one pants. Suddenly various Itachis appear, surrounding the real one.)

Itachi: Only 71 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds.

Kakashi: (in mind) What?

(All of the Itachis prepare to stab Kakashi.)

Kakashi: (in mind) No. Just one second passed?

(Several katanas stab Kakashi, and then everything is reverted to normal, except for Kakashi feeling the constant harms as he pants and almost falls.)

Kurenai: Kakashi, what's up? Can we open our eyes now?

Kakashi: (weakly) No. Not yet.

Asuma: What happened? One second the guy is saying, and in another one I hear you fall in the ground!

Kakashi: (in mind as he barely gets up) Three days in that world, and less than one instant passed in this one. Why not simply kill me? If he wanted, he could.

Kisame: (comes in) After everything, the fool's spirit is still intact. Meanwhile, you risked exceeding the usage of these eyes of yours. You know it's dangerous.

Kakashi: (weakly) What you came for is Sasuke?

Itachi: No, the Fourth Hokage's legacy.

(Asuma and Kurenai gasp.)

Kurenai: (in mind) How so? What does he want?

Kakashi: (in mind) Naruto.

(Kakashi then remembers his talk with Jiraiya about Naruto, the return of Orochimaru to the village, and an organization named Akatsuki and their search for Kyubi.)

Kakashi: The fox' spirit inside Naruto. Is this what you came for? You're not the only ones, are you? There are seven more of you out there, searching, hunting... I know everything about you guys. You call yourselves Akatsuki, don't you?

(Everyone is shocked.)

Asuma: Akatsuki?

Itachi: Kisame, we'll take Kakashi with us. We don't need the others. Get rid of them.

(Kisame charges at them, only for Might Guy to appear and kick him.)

Guy: Leaf Strong Whirlwind!

(Kisame is sent sprawling, but then he gets on his feet as he and Itachi see Guy.)

Kisame: My, what do we have here?

Guy: The Hidden Leaf Village's fiercest. (smirks) I'm Mighty Guy.

Kisame: You're Mighty Guy? The Mighty stupid face guy?

Itachi: Don't underestimate him.

Guy: (in mind) It's him, Itachi.

(He approaches Kakashi and picks him up.)

Guy: I can Imagine what he must have gone through.

Asuma: Close your eyes. Don't look at Itachi, or you'll be caught by his jutsu.

Guy: Relax, I know what I'm doing. After spending so much time training to fight Kakashi, I know everything about Sharingan. Alright, you two, open your eyes now.

Kurenai: But, if we...

Guy: Don't worry, it's just not to look into his eyes. This is the trick to fight an opponent who uses Sharingan. Concentrate on his feet, you can read what he'll do by his feet.

Kurenai: Right, but this trick looks easier said, than done.

Asuma: We didn't have your training. We're not you, Guy.

Kisame: Too bad, it was getting fun. (stern) They don't know how lucky they are.

(Itachi and Kisame then leave.)

(Cut to Naruto, Haku and Jiraiya, they are seen about to travel as Naruto is carrying a big luggage.)

Haku: Uh... don't you think you exaggerated, Naruto?

Naruto: No, not even a bit.

(The three then leave the village as the screen fades out.)
