(Sasuke is seen ready to attack Gaara as he charges at him.)

Gaara: So, there you are.

(Gaara hits Sasuke, who then disappears, revealing to be a clone, much to Gaara's shock.)

Sasuke: (comes from above) Guess again.

(Sasuke throws six kunais at Gaara, who laughs while blocking the kunais before absorbing them with his monster arm.)

Gaara: HERE, TAKE THEM BACK.

(Gaara launches the kunais with fire at Sasuke, who gets hit, but disappears, revealing to be another clone.)

Gaara: (growls) Just another clone.

(The real Sasuke is seen hiding behind a tree as he looks up.)

Sasuke: This dude is an abomination.

(Gaara is seen somehow watching Sasuke.)

Gaara: (smirks) What's the problem, Sasuke Uchiha? Why run and hide? Why not attack?

(Gaara then feels pain again like he's losing control.)

Gaara: Why do you always run?

(Gaara then remembers his bad childhood, where everyone saw him as a monster, but he actually didn't want to be alone again. He even tries to make up for the damage he did, but is always rejected.)

(Back to present, Gaara roars while speaking like a psycho.)

Gaara: I will not let you escape. You can't escape, you hear me? Sasuke Uchiha.

(Gaara starts looking for Sasuke while destroying several trees.)

Sasuke: This is surreal, his strength is out of control.

Gaara: (smirks) What's the matter, you're not afraid of me, are you?

Sasuke: (in mind) If this goes beyond physical strength, forget it.

Gaara: (smirks) That's right, you fear me. Don't you, Uchiha? You fear me being alive every day.

(Sasuke then remembers the day his training with Kakashi was interrupted, and the reason why Gaara is so obsessed with him, and during Gaara's explanation, Sasuke remembered his older stepbrother Itachi, who killed his entire clan, and only spared him. Gaara then revealed that he wouldn't fight Sasuke to merely advance to the next stage, but to kill and survive.)

(Back to present.)

Gaara: What's the problem, Sasuke Uchiha? Are you so afraid of me? (Sasuke becomes silent) All your hatred and sense of purpose got consumed... (smirks) by a horrifying fear? This is the existence you live now, the one of a coward. Show up and face me, show me that I'm wrong. Prove that your existence is stronger than mine. You'll never know... unless you face me, you'll never know. ATTACK!

(The birds are scared away as Sasuke gets up and remembers his older brother again.)

Sasuke: (in mind) He killed everybody, except for me. I was the only one he let live. What's the reason? (prepares his jutsu) No, I know the reason. He had to leave one alive to absolve himself of the guilt of having exterminated an entire clan. By sparing me, Itachi chose me as the clan's avenger. He chose me... TO KILL HIM!

(Gaara sees Sasuke preparing his Chidori, and Temari gasps in shock as well.)

Gaara: Now it's time for our fun, Sasuke Uchiha.

Sasuke: I'll finish this in one strike.

(Sasuke and Gaara charge at each other, and Sasuke's Chidori, pierces through Gaara's arm as the latter screams in pain.)

Temari: (gasps) Gaara!

Sasuke: (in mind) It looks like it worked.

(Gaara gets up while laughing.)

Gaara: I understand, so that's it.

Temari: (shocked) Incredible, after all he went through, the Uchiha can hit back against Gaara?

(Sasuke's sharingan dissipates.)

Gaara: Now it got very clear to me why I waited so long for this. This, this pain... WHAT EMOTION WILL IT BE TO CRUSH SUCH OPPONENT CAPABLE OF HARMING ME SO DEEPLY. THIS VICTORY WILL MAKE ME FEEL WHAT'S TO BE REALLY ALIVE!

(Temari is watching the fight in shock.)

Temari: (in mind) Nobody's ever hurt Gaara, and he hurt him twice. He's a nature freak, just like Gaara. But an abomination in each fiber of his body. Whila all of Gaara's strength is in his right arm that transformed.

Gaara: There's more, much more.

Sasuke: (shocked) What?

(Then Gaara makes a tail grow, shocking both Temari and Sasuke.)

Sasuke: (in mind) Who is this guy? How many of these will grow within him?

(Gaara launches himself faster as Sasuke quickly activates his sharingan.)

Sasuke: (in mind) And he's even faster.

(Sasuke barely dodges Gaara's attack.)

Sasuke: (in mind) Only by predicting his moves, I got a chance to avoid them. Without my sharingan, I'd be dead already. I can't use my Chidori. (performs his jutsu) Fire Style: Fire Ball Jutsu!

(Sasuke launches his fireball, but Gaara shields himself while still charging at him.)

Sasuke: (in mind) Didn't even lower his speed. This level of jutsu is useless!

Gaara: THIS IS THE END!

Sasuke: (in mind) It's Chidori or nothing.

(Sasuke is punched by Gaara, and sent sprawling as he crashes into a tree. He then remembers his training with Kakashi as the latter mentions about his limits and how dangerous a Chidori and his sharingan combined are.)

(Back to present, again)

Gaara: So it's over? Was this the best demonstration you can give about the value of your existence? (smirks) This is really... pathetic. Your hatred is weak. You're extremely kind and gentile. The bigger is the anxiety for revenge, bigger is the hate. And it's the power of hate that gives strength to kill.

(Sasuke remembers Itachi once again.)

Gaara: (smirks) Your hate is weaker than mine. MUCH WEAKER.

Sasuke: Shut. Up.

Gaara: You know what this means, don't you?

Sasuke: SHUT UP!

Gaara: This means you can't win. YOU ARE WEAKER THAN ME!

Sasuke: (in mind) There's a reason why he let me live. Because he chose me to pursue him and kill him. (prepares another Chidori) I. AM. AN AVENGER!

(They charge at each other, and then Sasuke manages to cut off Gaara's monster hand, but not his real hand as the curse mark breaks free from the seal, and he falls down. Meanwhile, Gaara grows his monster arm back again.)

Sasuke: (in mind) The curse mark again. (Gaara charges at him) I can't move my body.

(As Gaara is about to kill Sasuke, Naruto comes in and punches him, sending him sprawling while the rest of the group goes to check on him.)

Kin: Looks like we came right on time.

Karin: Just a few seconds, and we'd have lost him. (sees Sasuke's state) So the Curse Mark manifested within him. No doubt... it's Orochimaru's doing.

(Naruto then sees Gaara returning to the battlefield as both glare at each other, and Gaara roars in pure anger as the screen fades out.)
