Jason's POV

After eating at the new diner we were headed home. Elijah wanted to drop me off so I insisted that he meets my parents. Thankfully he agreed.

"Mom, Dad, I'm home. And guess what? I have a friend over." I screamed as I entered my house, letting them know that I have friends.

"Wow, you're rich, dude." Elijah whispered in my ears. I just shrugged.

"You have a friend over?" Mom came rushing downstairs.

"Mom, please don't sound so surprised." I whined.

"No, I didn't mean to, dear. I was just surprised because you didn't mention anyone was coming over."

"It's okay Mom, he knows I haven't had much luck with friends."

"He knows. Thank God. Now I'd be able to tell him how unsocial of a son I've got."

"No way! Now before y'all start examining him like an artwork of exhibition, we're going up to my room." I said dragging him up with me.

"You said, I would meet your family." He said.

"I know. But I forgot how weird my family can get at times. They're just-" I wasn't able to finish my sentence as both my sisters came stumbling into my room and the moment they opened the door both of them fell onto the ground.

They struggled to get up, but soon they were up and Jasmine said "I told you he has a friend over."

"So you weren't on drugs after all?" Jessica questioned pushing her glasses up her nose.

"See, I told you!" I looked at Elijah in frustration.

Elijah chuckled again. "Your whole family is cute."

"Are you on drugs?" Jessica asked her question directed towards Elijah.

"Jess!" I gave her a 'not in front of him' look, before returning to Elijah. "But seriously though, how can you call them cute?"

"Not just them. You're too cute yourself." He said.

"He's flirting." Jasmine said. My eyes widened as I turned towards them. "I told you in the morning."

"You said girlfriend in the morning." Jessica corrected her.

"Girlfriend, boyfriend, same thing. I was right after all." Jasmine said.

"Wanna bet?" Jess asked.

"Sure."

"Okay, I bet he's on drug, you bet they're dating." Jess said.

"Or will in the future." Jasmine added.

"Same difference. 100 bucks?"

"Done! No wait, I don't have so much money, 50 bucks."

"Sure?" Jess asked.

"No 20 bucks. Final." Jasmine confirmed.

"Cool."

"Leave both of you! Now!" I yelled as both of them squirmed out of my room. Idiots!

By then Elijah was laughing his ass off. "Oh my God, this is some high-class entertainment!"

"Yeah, yeah. Go on. Make fun of me." I said crossing my arm over my chest.

"I'm not making fun of you. It's just your family... they're so sweet."

We played video games for a while, then he had dinner with my family. He was somehow impressed with my family, I do not know how and my family was even more impressed with Elijah. Him and my Dad bonded specially over their mutual love for Real Madrid, and also because they both loved teasing me. The dinner was fun... for my family. I was being teased the whole time, while Mom told Elijah my embarrassing childhood stories and he laughed at them. The bet was still on with my sisters. Dad also wanted to show Elijah my childhood pictures, but finally it was decided that I had enough embarrassment for a day. But Mom promised to show them to Elijah some other time. 

I swear brining Elijah home was my biggest mistake.

After Elijah was gone I was lying on my bed watching Netflix on my TV. A while later I received a call from Elijah informing me that he reached home. As I scrolled through my messages, I saw that I had a new message from Kylan. 

The message said : I don't know how to do this, but I'm really sorry. I've told Cole, he would apologize to you too. I've given him your number, I hope you don't mind. And once again, I'm really sorry, and I hope we can be friends again. Please?

I read that with a smile on my face. I mean, I was really hoping we could be friends again, too. I replied back to him : It's fine, you didn't do anything so you don't need to apologize. As for Cole, tell him it's fine. And yes, we can be friends again 😊

Kylan : Really?

Me : Yes 😄

Kylan : 😃

Kylan : So... are we still on about the Autumn thing?

Me : Only if you want to.

Kylan : Of course! 

Another notification arrived. I opened it to see an unknown number : Hey, it's Cool. I'm sorry for today, man. 

Huh?

Me : What's cool? And what are you sorry for? Who are you by the way?

Unknown Sender : Oh! It's Cole, not cool. Typo. Does that answer all your questions?

Me : Oh! Hi, Cole. This is Jason.

Cole : Of course I know it's you. Why would I text you otherwise?

Me : Oh sorry.

Me : Can I ask you something?

Cole : Shoot! 

Me : Why did you do that to me? I never did anything wrong to you. Or at least I can't remember doing anything.

Cole : You didn't do anything. I just didn't know Kylan invited you.

Me : So if Kylan didn't invite me, it would be okay to treat me like that?

Cole : I said I'm sorry, what else do you want?

Me : Idk...

Cole : Okay, here's the thing. There are many people who just want to hang out with us just to look cool. They're damn annoying, so... yeah.

Me : That makes it okay to bully someone like that? 

Cole : Okay, I agree I went overboard. Sorry. 

Me : Okay.

Cole : So, no hard feelings? 

Me : None!

Cole : Cool. Then call Kylan and tell him it's sorted between us. He's been on my case since lunch break.

Me : Oh! So that's why you apologised. You didn't mean a word you said, did you? Be honest.

Cole : It's not like that...

I didn't text him back. Because honestly, I didn't know what to say. This guy... he pisses me off.

Cole : Hey! Where did you go? I'm sorry okay.

Cole : Jason??? Please reply.

Cole : You know what? Fuck it. I don't care what you think, and I think I've done enough and I don't need to apologize anymore. Bye.

I didn't say anything. After a while my phone started ringing. It was a call from Cole.
