I stood there, frozen in fear. My heart was pounding and there was beads of sweat pouring down my face. There I saw Zane, my friend, my brother, holding a injured Kai by the throat, him gasping for air. Zane's eyes were blood red and he had cuts on his hands and face. I was so afraid, I couldn't move. Then I coughed up some words." Zane! Let him go!" I yelled. Zane turned to me, and chuckled." Why should I? I thought the all powerful green ninja didn't need a team" he said." Z-Zane, p-p-please, l-let go...." Kai rasped." Shut up! Don't make me silence you permanently!" Zane yelled, as he squeezed Kai's neck tighter." Zane, please, this isn't you! You've been tampered with! Just let him go!" I begged." Hmm..... Very well." Zane said as he dropped Kai to the ground." Who did this to you? We can help you!" I said. Zane glared angerly at me." Help me? HELP ME?! LOOK AT ME! I'm covered in cuts and burn marks! There's nothing you can do! YOU CANT HELP ME!!" Zane roared at me. I was speechless. I've never heard my friend yell like that before. Then Kai stammered," P-please Zane, d-don't d-do t-this..." Then Zane kicked Kai in the side. Kai yelled in pain." SHUT UP, YOU STUPID HUMAN!!" Zane yelled. Then something came over me. I couldn't control it. I gained all my energy and blasted Zane with my powers. He hit a nearby wall. I ran over to Kai." Kai! Are you okay?" I said. Kai coughed. He was covered in bruises and had a black eye. I looked back at Zane. He got up, groaning. Then he faced me, pure anger on his face. But then I looked at his right foot. His titanium exoskeleton was completely gone and all I saw was a thin, metal foot." LOOK WHAT YOU DID TO ME!!" Zane yelled." Zane, you need to calm down. Whoever did this to you, we can help you." I said, as I helped Kai to his feet." No one can help me. Not even you. Give up on me. I'm not worth it" Zane rasped. Then he fell to his knees. I went up to him slowly." Of course your worth it. Your family and we care about you." I said. Then Zane got up, his eyes glowing with hate." YOUR NOT MY FAMILY!! All of my family are dead. I HAVE NO ONE!!!" Zane roared. Suddenly, Zane fell hard on the ground, blacked out. And behind him was Jay and Cole, both with shocked faces.
