A/N: So sorry for the wait, this one is a bit longer than the others by at least 500 words, so I hope that makes up for it ;-;

Sunset's POV

I facepalmed right when Rarity said that. "No, Rarity, we are not doing that. How about Truth or Dare, make things easier." I stood up and went downstairs, remembering that my phone was still down there.

Once I was back upstairs, Rarity finally agreed, "Fine… But we're doing Seven Minutes in Heaven later." I rolled my eyes, knowing that once Rarity made up her mind, she made up her mind.

I sat back down in the circle, Rarity offered to go first, "Okay, hmm… Applejack, truth or dare?" Applejack froze, looking down. It took her a while, but she finally decided on truth. "Good choice, AJ. Have you had your first kiss yet?"

"N-no, but ahm sure ah will someday... I will…" She averted her gaze back to Rarity. "I mean, no, ah haven't, uhhh, Fluttershy! Truth or dare?"

Fluttershy snapped her head up, "Um, truth," she squeaked out.

"Who's your current crush?" Fluttershy's face turned an entirely different shade of red, she looked around the circle.

She met Rainbow Dash's eyes, and from what I saw, Dash's face was red, too. "I- um… well… it's…" We all listened to her mutter until she finally spat it out. "I just… well…" she sighed, "Dash."

Rainbow's face became more red than it already was. She stared at a wall, attempting to cover her flushed face. And from what I saw, it looked like she was… smiling…? Fluttershy was quick to pick a new person to ‘Truth or Dare’. "Sunset! Truth or dare?"

This was easy, I was going to be the first to pick dare. "Dare," I said simply. Fluttershy looked around for a few seconds before finally deciding on something.

"Tell the person you met first that they look lovely today," Ok? Looks like Flutters can't come up with extreme dares… I'm sure Pinkie thinks I'm going to tell her… but I technically met Twilight first, so… Welp.

I stood up and cleared my throat dramatically, "You look absolutely stunning today," I paused for dramatic effect, "Twilight." I dramatically put my arm over my forehead for effect.

Fluttershy looked confused. "Sunset, I said the person you met first, not last…"  Pinkie nodded in agreement.

I smirked, "But I did meet Twilight before all of you guys."

Twilight's POV

I looked over to Sunset, she did…? I thought that the symbol looked familiar, but I didn't really think to have known her before…

Sunset started to speak again, answering all of the confused eyes staring back at her. "Well, yes, I met Twilight in the Crystal Empire a few years back, we became friends and hung out for about a week." Her face fell, "We… We made a promise to never forget each other… I kept my end of the deal, but it seems Twilight still doesn't remember me…" 

Everyone looked from Sunset and to me in a flash, "Well? You remember her now?" asked a disappointed Pinkie Pie.

I thought for a moment… "I… Think so…" I thought some more. Just then, something in my brain snapped. I stood up, staring straight ahead. I whispered, "Sunset… Sunset Shimmer… Her Aunt Dawn Horizon and Uncle Silver Stratosphere live in the Crystal Empire… She has a cat named Phoenix, a  little brother named Neon Sparks, and an older sister, Tigerlily…" I trailed off, looking down to a shocked Sunset.

And just like that, the smile started to grow on her face. She jumped up and gave me a hug, "Thank you, Twilight…" She whispered in my ear. "I knew you would remember…" I was glad that I did remember her… But there was a catch. 

I had a crush on Sunset. And now, with her back in my mind, it wouldn’t go away. It was a feeling, so strong, yet so weak, so close, yet so far, so warm, yet spine chilling… 

We finished the game there, thinking it was about time we stopped. Rarity turned on the TV. "Any suggestions?" Dash and Fluttershy sat behind Rarity, Pinkie Pie next to Dash, AJ next to Rarity, and Sunset and I decided to sit on the couch, at the side of the room.

Once we were settled, Fluttershy slowly raised her hand, "Uhm… I have a suggestion…" Rarity nodded, letting her know that she could say it. "Well… I…" She trailed off, her face getting red, "My Little Horsey" she squeaked out.

Everyone stared at her in confusion and amusement, "Ya mean the one about the horses?" Applejack inquired. Fluttershy nodded, her hair now covering her face. 

"Yeah, we can watch that. But ahm tellin' y'all, Aple Jake is the best character,” Applejack was quick to say.

Rarity gasped, "No way, darling! Raratah is obviously superior."

Rainbow shook her head, "Tsk tsk tsk, nope, none of you are right, Rainbowl Dish, the magicalest unicorn out there."

Pinkie jumped up to defend her favorite character, "PINKY PINK IS THE BEST!!!"

I just sat there listening. But Sunset spoke up, "Guys…" They all looked towards her, "I think Twinkle Sprinkle is the best. She's the leader, and clearly has more leadership skills than the rest of them." I looked over to Sunset. Weird, we have the same favorite character...

    Fluttershy raised her hand again, but this time, didn't wait for approval to speak, "I uh, actually think Flitterfloosh is the better one… she's good with animals and… she's nice and stuff…" Fluttershy tucked her legs to her chest after she finished speaking.

    Rarity sighed, "Okay, whatever, we all have different opinions, but let's just watch a music video." I nodded, she clicked something on the remote that brought us to a music video of My Little Horsey, as it played, we all bounced to the music.

    "I'm a pony girl, in a pony world,~ life with magic, it's fantastic! You can make me fly, and take me to the skies~ Imagination, magical creation!" We all started singing along and swaying to the music

    "Come on Twily, let's go flying. Oh, oh oh yeah. Come on Twily, let's go flying. Ooh woah, ooh woah." By the time the song ended, I started laughing, triggering everyone else to laugh as well.

    I looked over to the clock and saw that it was 1am, I guess we stayed up a little late, by definition, that is. 

Applejack's POV

    We were all snuggled up in our sleeping spaces, Rarity was in her room, along with Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie. Sunset, Twilight, Rainbow and I stayed in the TV room to sleep. I couldn't sleep though… and not because Rainbow was snoring like a cow, but I guess that's part of it- 

The reason I couldn't sleep was Rarity. She was infecting my mind like COVID did to the world. Sometimes I wish I had the courage to tell her how I felt… I was so close. I was planning on confessing, but Pinkie ruined the moment.

I always saw a spark in Rarity, she had something nobody else had. Every time I was around her, I felt… safe, comfortable, she was the world to me. I just never believed I could confess, because her status and well… me? Not the best pair, I'm just the rusty farm girl, she's a goddess… 

Maybe tomorrow… I thought as I drifted off to sleep. I was awoken by the sound of footsteps outside the TV room. I never was a heavy sleeper, the slightest sound could wake me up.

I got up off the floor and snuck over to the door, trying to avoid waking Sunset and Twilight. They were both sleeping on the recliner chair, Sunset was slightly snoring. However, Twilight, who was next to her, had her head on Sunset's shoulder. She was snuggled up like it was the end of the world.

I stopped at the door, hearing the footsteps outside the door fading as the person walked down the stairs. I turned the doorknob and opened the door slowly, I peeked my head out only to see purple hair moving down the stairs.

I tiptoed out the door and closed it behind me. I attempted to be a ninja by sliding against the wall while moving down the decreasing stairs, only for that attempt to fail as a floorboard creaked underneath my foot.

Lucky for me, I scampered across the floor before Rarity could notice I was there. She turned back to whatever she was doing, from what I could see… a book, she was holding a book…? I stealthily snuck up behind her and tapped her shoulder. She jumped and let out a shriek before realizing it was me.

"Oh my, AJ, you scared me. What are you doing down here?" She asked as she patted the chair next to her.

I gladly took a seat. "Well ah actually came down 'ere because ah heard you comin' downstairs." I explained she put a soft smile on her face, I always loved that smile… "So, what'cha readin'?" I asked, glancing at the book in her hand, I couldn't see the title, but the book was a nice dark indigo color.

Her face turned red in embarrassment, she closed the book and set it on the table upside-down, "I mean, it's just a book, does it matter?" She said in a 'clearly-avoiding-the-question' tone. I looked at her with an amused yet skeptical look on my face.

After a brief pause, she finally gave in, "Ok fine! It's… It's… Grogar's Guide to Getting Girls…" Her face was so red, she looked like she was going to explode. I looked at her, my face was pure shock, then I thought about it and started laughing, "H-hey! It's not funny!" She turned away, huffing.

I glanced up at her after I finished laughing, "Well say what you wanna, but all ya have to do is ask." I said, putting a smirk on my face. 

Rarity was fiddling with her hands nervously. I had never seen her so nervous. Not even before her short theatre performances in front of the whole school.

Rarity’s POV

I wanted to tell Applejack more than anything that I liked her. But, it never seemed like a good moment. And truth be told, I don’t think there was ever a good moment to confess your feelings. 

“I like someone,” I blurted out. Applejack’s expression seemed to tense up, but not in a good way. 

That’s strange…

“I like someone and,” I heaved a sigh trying to think, “I like them a lot. I think about them every single day. They’re always there for me, they have this cute accent which I just adore.”

“Who?” Applejack suddenly asked. She obviously wanted to get to the bottom of this.

“Darling, I’m just wondering, how would you approach this person? How would you confess to her?”

She looked away from me, tracing her hand over the countertop. Her voice got softer. “Well sugarcube, truth be told, I’m trying to tell someone I like them too. And I know I’m supposed to be honest, that I’m supposed to be a role model, but this is just confusing. So uh- to answer your question, I was originally going to ask the person, if they wanted to watch a movie with me?”

“Well in that case,” a small grin formed on my face, “Do you want to go to the movies with me?”

My heart was pounding so loud, I thought it might as well just burst out of my chest. I knew for a fact, that my cheeks were extremely flushed. 

The hesitation on Applejack’s part was also making me feel more flustered. Her cheeks burned a bright red. 

I couldn’t believe what I had just said.

Had I been so stupid?

Applejack was my best friend. And love confessions, from my experience, seemed to always ruin everything. If she didn’t like me back, we’d try to act as if this never happened. But deep down, there's an aching crushing pain that I'll carry wherever I go.

I would look back at this one moment, and cry myself to sleep about it. There was never enough ice cream to heal the heart breaking feeling in my chest.

“Yes.”
