MK1 Remade by Me
(I actually have to tap this stuff down because Wattpad decided to give me some trouble with something called WPNetwork Error - 1000 or something like that. So, I have use my own two hands. While I don't exactly enjoy doing this, it also gives me an opportunity to fix & rewrite somethings. Anyways, here is the remade version of MK1, according to me.)
Reason of Remaking:
You see, when the game came out, I was 50/50 on it; the graphics were good, some gameplay was fun & the story mode had some good moments.
But ultimately, it was a game that should've been held back and granted more time to be properly fine tuned. There was several problems with the game that could be listed so much that it stretch across the USA.
Many people harp & hate on it because of the terribleness of the game, but I do because I care & respect the franchise and many memories I have within it.
And so, I have taken upon myself to try & refine MK1 to a game we all can enjoy. Of course, I ultimately prefer to play offline & not online, so any questions about Online gameplay cannot be made by me & will be ignored unfortunately. Anyways, let's get this show on the road.
#1 (Roster Rebuilding & Kameo Removal):
The Roster of the canon MK1 has some solid footholds, but the Roster suffers a bit & it is quite possible it's due to the Kameo system. So, I have decided to remove the Kameo systems & split the characters into two separate categories: Roster Characters & NPCs. Characters such as Scorpion, Kung Lao, Sub-Zero, Sektor & Cyrax will be removed due to them being already in the game.
#2 (Refining the Gear System):
Another major flaw within MK1 that I hate is the lack of a proper gear system. So, I have decided to give it a proper gear system by combining it with the variations from MKX. Some might say I'm copying & pasting MK11, but I'm not exactly. You see, what separates this from mine is that the three variations aren't easily changeable as it was in MK11. The only real thing you can change within these variations are the gear. Each variation has both universal gear & selective gear. Just like MKX, you have a 4th variation you can access. But unlike MKX, this 4th variation combines all three variations & the input to access this variation is more difficult to uncover.
(Let's use Scorpion as an example. His first variation utilizes his Kusarigama whip & moves revolving around that. The second variant has him equipped with a living demonic head that grants him the abilities to enhance his pyromancy powers & to summon NetherRealm demons that resemble ninjas. The third & final variation gives Scorpion a pair of swords that grants him further reach & new attacks.)
#3 (Additional Characters):
Though the Roster has taken a heavy rebuilding, it could use a couple of characters to fill some slots. Therefore, I have decided to add in some characters such as Nightwolf, Kabal, Fujin & Jade. Quan Chi & Ermac will be included into the base Roster, such as it was intended based upon words from various sources.
#4 (New Function):
A new feature I threw into this rework is a Genderbent function. During the final chapter featuring the climb of the pyramid, you'll run into various genderbent versions of ninjas. I liked this idea, so I decided to expand on it, giving other characters genderbent functions, allowing males to become females & females to become males if you so chose to.
#5 (Changed Story):
While I am pretty much 50/50 on it, some people tend to dislike it due to it being Avengers Endgame or like that. So, I'll try and fix that. I remember watching a video that claimed that MK1 should've stopped before the Titan Shang Tsung plotline was revealed & I liked that. So, I've decided to do that here. Instead of Titan Shang Tsung appearing, he would instead appear in the end credits, watching the events through his hourglass & he scorns himself, saying how he should've known better than to trust incompetent fools with a simplistic task such as sowing chaos. He then gets an idea as he uses his hourglass to show various timelines, each ruled by great foes just as Shao Kahn & others.
#6 (Changed Intros & Outros):
I don't like the Injustice style clash intros we have in MK1, so I've decided to change it so we get proper intros. Like MKX, it will have certain unique dialogues for certain skins. And since people claim this a blueprint for Injustice 3, I decided to give MK1 a different function & that'll be Premier Skins, so you get to keep the JCVD Skin & makes it reasonable as to why it appears in the store.
#7 (Store Rework):
Since the store is full of bullshit & money grabbing assholes, I decided to fix the store so everyone can enjoy it. Instead of it utilizing mainly Dragon Krystals, I have decided to give it the option to use either Krystals or Koins. The pricing for Koins in the store ranges from 1,000 to 50,000 depending on the items.
#8 (Return of Skin Packs):
Why did NRS got rid of this, I will never know. But I decided to fix that by making all Skin Packs that came with each DLC Fighter free downloadable contents, for all premium version owners. As for base game owners, they'll be $6.99 for each pack. And thanks to the new Premier skin pack, we'll also be getting skins that'll turn characters into other characters.
#9 (Reworking the Combos):
While many people seem to enjoy the air combos, I don't because I believe it to be a deterrent to the characters fighting. So, I have decided to cut the air combos out completely.
#10 (Reworking the Kombat Pack):
Since Quan Chi & Ermac are now apart of the main roster; we need to find new characters to replace them. Also, I have decided to expand the Kombat Packs a bit to make them a bit more equalized to the roster, since the current pack made the roster a bit uneven because one side has four characters while the other has two. So, I'm adding two more additional characters, one Guest Character & one MK Character. Also, I have decided to completely change the characters up because while I've eventually grown to like the choices of the Pack, I felt as though it could've done better. The only character that will stay is Takeda. The three MK characters in this pack will be Cetrion, Kintaro & Erron Black while the four Guest Characters will be Bayonetta, Doomslayer, Shredder & Azula, characters to promote their respective franchises.
#11 (Changing Invasion Mode):
While I'm pretty okay with it, I have decided to scrap it until later on in the Story Expansion DLC. So, to replace it with something akin to Street Fighter 6's World Tour function. In it, you'll play as a customizable character that is created from Cetrion's essence to explore the realms & learn about the inhabitants various cultures, wildlife & flora. You can change the characters looks, species, fighting style, powers & weapons.
#12 (Characters Reworking):
While some characters I am fine with, others could've used a bit of work. Such as Nitara, her appearance is fine, but her voice isn't. I would've kept Megan Fox as her appearance, but I would've had someone else be her voice, possibly Scarlett Johansson.
(Here are my changes & fixes to MK1. If you guys have any complaints & suggestions on Part 2 of this based upon the upcoming Khaos DLC, then I'll gladly like to hear them. And if I feel like it, I could do a part 3 based upon my ideas of a Kombat Pack 3 or even 4 here. Also, if this is given enough good responses, I will work on writing down everything I can possibly write down about each characters, such as variations & skins.)
