Lauryn watched as the cloaked figure stood silently on her balcony. Frightened, she sat in bed, trying to control her breathing. Her eyes were blurred with tears and her hand was shaking as she pulled the covers up and over her face.

She shivered and shook as she waited for the figure to do something. It seemed like hours and hours before she heard the banging, though really it had to only have been a few minutes.

Jumping from under the covers, she looked over to see the figure, his fists on the door she had locked just before she got into bed. Words written in some sticky liquid read, "Watch out princess. You're next"

Her eyesight blurred again as tears started falling and she shook uncontrollably. Those were the words she heard whispered in her ears at night in her dreams and during the nights when she the most felt alone.

Watch out? You're next?

She had to be careful. Very careful.
