CHAPTER ONE

"Tina you need to get yourself together,dress up and look pretty and forget that scum Ex of yours" Linda said to me for the thousandth time.

I was going through a bad break up with Kevin (my ex).

We had been dating for a year and some months when he broke up with me with the flimsy excuse that he needed to get his life together.

It wasn't until I begged and probed further that he agreed he was in love with someone else,a childhood crush who just reconnected with him.

I bet they must have had it going for a while before he called things off with me.

I guess they must have had some acrobatic sex that he got clapped on because he stopped touching me for two months prior to the break up.

Linda had been a great friend coming by to cook sometimes,help me arrange the house and steady calling me when she was away.

It had been two months since the break up and she felt it was time I moved on because despite all my attempts at getting back together,Kevin wasn't interested. His new girlfriend was probably the real deal for him I thought as another pain hit my chest.

      Linda had been suggesting we hang out together for some time which I had politely declined but today I decided to follow her when she told me there was a party at club Exquisite. 

It was one of the lit clubs in town and I mentally prepared myself for the fun ahead because I made up my mind to have fun and get over him.

Linda squealed in excitement as I told her I would be going out with her.

I was also ready to hit the gym and burn some relationship Fat too.

   Later that evening I got ready to hit the club with Linda.

As we set out I was hit with a wave of excitement as it had been a while I had fun alone without involving Kevin.

I made up my mind not to think of him and just enjoy the moment. 

As we stepped into the club girllll did we turn heads?yes you bet. It was so much fun as I danced like I won the lottery.

After a while I decided to go get a drink and that was when I caught the eye of a guy who was staring at me without looking away. 

His gaze was so piercing and I had an inkling he had been staring at me for quite some time. I concentrated on getting my mojito as I checked my phone for any messages. There was none so I checked my Instagram account I was tempted to stalk Kevin and see if I could see pictures of his new girlfriend. Did I find her?ohhh yes I did and she looked so pretty in the pictures that I couldn't bring myself to hate her. I checked for her handle and I got it,I checked her posts for a while and all her pictures seemed so flawless,her smile and her skin was glowing. I bet Kevin was doing right by her because she seemed like one to say ''Fuck you dude,I lose one;I bounce back with ten". I kept stalking her page for ten more minutes and then I started loathing her,she caused the break up. She made Kevin leave me I murmured to myself, how can she be so happy when I'm here and hurting like hell I asked no one in particular.

I tried to look for a picture where she wasn't all so perfect and when I found a picture of hers which had been taken at an unflattering angle? I was so satisfied. She wasn't so perfect after all and so I downed my drink in one gulp with a satisfied gleam in my eyes and a chuckle.
