Rummaging through the files they discover the whereabouts of the remaining scientists while Dr. Bosworth remains sceptical as to the sudden inactivity of the suit. Weighing their chances against the monstrosity they all agree that the odds are against them even with Alex's newfound abilities, thus they plan to split up with Alex accompanying Dr. Bosworth and Brad with Drew much to her mother's dismay. As Alex and Dr. Bosworth work on discovering a structural flaw of the suit Brad and Drew locates the scientists to rescue them gradually. Dr. Bosworth reveals that they might be able to use one thing to their advantage- the suit has an upper threshold value to contain psychic energy and it will malfunction if its crossed. Alex simultaneously works on a separate project of his own but keeps it to himself as a last resort. Meanwhile going through the files, Alex discovers that Dr. Bosworth was expecting a child during her time at Belle Reeve and casually asks about her family to which she nonchalantly circumvents. Brad and Drew upon further investigation manages to locate the remaining scientists where Dmitri ambushes them in a near fatal encounter. Brad sacrifices himself to protect Drew by distracting the suit long enough for drew to escape and warn Alex about the impending danger but gets captured nonetheless. In a futile endeavour Drew sends a psychic message to Alex about the events that have transpired before losing consciousness. With no way of locating where Drew has been abducted by Dmitri, Alex grows restless with each passing moment. Frantic and desperate to save Drew's life for putting her in unwarranted danger Dr. Bosworth advises Alex to use his psychic abilities to track Dmitri but Alex forbids it as it might lead Dmitri to trace back her location. Dr. Bosworth adamant as ever forces Alex which reveal that Dmitri heading for where it all started...Belle Reeve penitentiary.
