Much to everyone's surprise the exo suit is still functioning which should be impossible as the veteran controlling it lies dead in front of them. The enigma is resolved when Dr. Bosworth hears a long forgotten idiosyncratic voice emanating from the suit that sends shivers down her spine, a voice which she hoped to never hear again. Munson's men try to stop the suit with bullets and other arsenal blazing over its chrome metallic surface leaving it unscathed as expected. In the ensuing chaos the suit slaughters all of Munson's men, the group of scientists except Brad who narrowly escapes and leaves Munson in a near catatonic state and Dr. Bosworth gravely injured with Alex saving her from the monstrosity's clutches moments before her inevitable death. Brad tries to communicate with Alex about where to rendezvous but amidst the pandemonium Alex is unable to decipher it properly. Gen. Munson fumbling, utters a single word 'Belle Reeve' before his demise all the while Alex unable to think straight escapes the facility with Dr. Bosworth. A message suddenly pops up in Alex's mind directing him to a location and lay low for a while waiting for someone, which although confuses him initially he follows without delay. The exo suit tries to navigate its way to the local town paving its path with utter rampage and destruction in its wake searching for its next targets.
