Footloose
The group of Rebels was currently parked on Lothol yet again, waiting for an opportunity for another job. Kanan and Zeb went to Old Jho's Pit Stop to see if they could find anybody hiring, and Zeb went so that he could try and scam out of some Sabacc, which is a game that Peter guessed was similar to Poker.
Jho was a species known as Ithorians, commonly referred to as "hammerheads," a sentient species from the planet Ithor. Living in the forests or jungles, Ithorians had a unique set of twin mouths on opposite sides of their necks with four throats, making them speak in stereo with deep, rumbling voices. They had two stomachs. Their unique throat structure prevented them from speaking Galactic Basic Standard, although this was mitigated by a number of devices, such as the translator collar, which allowed translation from Ithorese into Basic. They could be force-sensitive.
When they arrived, Zeb got himself into a game quickly whilst Kanan talked with Jho about finding a job. While Kanan was talking over near the bar, Zeb was starting to win the game. While they were talking, he couldn't help but look over and notice that there was someone else there just sitting and drinking across the bar. He seemed miserable and was drinking his sorrows away.
"Come on, Jho, it doesn't have to be a big job. Just enough to put fuel in the Ghost and food in our bellies." Kanan explains to Jho.
"Sorry, Kanan. Don't have anything." Jho said through the collar on his neck. "But the stranger playing with Zeb over there is looking to hire a ship and a crew for him and his friend." He gestured over to the man who was still drinking. "Could be worth something."
Kanan decided to do that as he paid his tab and made his way over. When he did, he watched as one of the players got mad and ended up leaving with no money left to spend. It was only down to Zeb and the stranger.
"Looks like it's just you and me." Zeb saw it as a good thing, but then Kanan noticed there was no more money. "Except...it seems I'm all outta creds."
Chopper made a sound mocking the Lassant for not listening to him when he had the chance.
But it seems he should have stayed quiet as he only ended up giving Zeb an idea. "So... I'll bet my droid."
"Whoa." Kanan quickly jumped in as he knew better than to bet Hera's droid. "You can't bet Chopper."
And then Zeb showed Kanan the cards he had to play and had to admit they looked good. "See? I can't lose. And you know we need the credits."
Kanan thought of it and looked back and forth between Chopper and the cards. He groaned and decided to just go with it and sighed. "Alright, do it."
Chopper groaned and grunted, stating how he did not agree with or like this plan.
But all of his pleas went unanswered as Zeb looked at the stranger. "Do we have a bet?"
The stranger chuckled and decided to go for it. "It's a bet."
Zeb then placed down his cards and showed his hand. "Sabacc! I win!"
"Not so fast." The stranger however seems to have better cards as he put his batch down. "It appears I have an Idiot's Array, which makes you, well..."
Zeb growled as Chopper banged his head against the table. "And what does that make you?'
"The name's Calrissian." He said as he came out of the shadows. "Lando Calrissian. Now, please, introduce me to my new droid."
-----------
Whilst that was going horribly wrong, Sabine and Peter were both still looking through the suit's firewalls so that he could use more of its features. But the deeper they got into the programming, the harder it became to crack. It would have been so much easier to just have Stark unlock it if he wasn't an entire universe away. Instead, they had to work with what they had, and what they had was one person who didn't understand half of the encryption and another person who couldn't decrypt the other half.
Sabine growled after weeks of decrypting only having half of it done by this point. "Your Stark guy must have been extremely paranoid to put this much encryption on a piece of armor because it's starting to become a bit infuriating."
"Well, the last time he went light on security, his stealth plane ended up crashing," Peter spoke on his mentor's behalf, feeling Iron Man would have every reason to go this hard on security measures. "And then there was the time his own friend stole an armor of his."
"Okay, yeah, I get it." Sabine was starting to understand the uptight security. "It makes sense when you put up with all of that."
"Not to mention that this stuff is literally so dangerous I fought an Inquisitor and lived," Peter recalled and gestured to the armor. "If this can stand up to a Jedi..."
"Then it's something that nobody should have so easily." Sabine followed what he was saying.
That's when they noticed that some grunting and anger were coming from the landing platform, and up came Chopper. They wondered what could have happened that got him this angry, which didn't help when they looked and actually saw how nervous Zeb was. And that only left more questions, as they had never seen him nervous. That must mean that he did something horrifying. Or stupid.
"Hi." Zeb sheepishly said with worry. "I can explain."
"Explain what?" Hera asks in concern.
"That doesn't sound good," Peter said in concern.
"Hera, Sabien, Peter, Ezra." Kanan called out his crew and gestured to Lando. "This is Lando Calrissian. He and his man need a fast ship to move some cargo past the Imperial blockade of Lothol."
"Yes. For some reason, this planet has an unusually large Imperial presence." Lando commented.
But Peter was focusing more on the man of Lando's security. He would recognize that man anywhere, despite the dirty and now raggedy-looking clothes. It was the man who killed him and half of the universe.
Peter Jason Quill.
"You!?" Peter cried in anger as he marched his way over.
"I...am getting the sense you two know each other?" Lando asks in surprise.
"Peter?" Ezra called out in curiosity.
"Oh, we know each other." Peter snarled.
Quill seemed to be taking a second to gather his thoughts and concentrate, but then remembered him. "Spider-Guy?"
"Man." Peter reminded him with a snarl. "Star Princess."
Quill sighed as he knew he deserved that one. "Star...Lord."
"Wait, this is the guy who cost you your world?" Zeb asks in surprise.
Peter told them everything, and he couldn't help but repeat the whole part where Quill lost them the gauntlet. He could have pried that gauntlet off of Thanos in just a few more seconds if Quill had kept his head. He understood the man got some bad news, but half of the universe was on the line. You'd think he would work a bit on control.
"Yeah, and also Gamora's boyfriend from what he's said," Peter confirmed in anger.
"She could do so much better." Sabine couldn't help but admit.
"What's going on now?" Gamora asks as she slid down the ladder. "What's all the complaining?"
When she slid down the ladder, she immediately noticed Lando, but then looked behind him. She gasped in shock when she saw Peter Quill. The others watched and were wondering what was bound to happen next.
Quill looked shocked when he saw his girlfriend was alive, as last he heard she died for the Soul Stone. "Gamora?"
Gamora walked over slowly and didn't even pick her sword off of the boxes near the exit. Sabine was looking it over as she saw whatever metal it was made out of, it was a universal match to Beskar Steel. She just walked over in complete silence until she stood just a few feet away from Quill. He looked completely distraught as he never thought he would see her again.
"I thought I lost you," Quill said with tears.
As he went to reach to touch her cheek, that's when Gamora finally reacted. She grabbed and twisted his arm, causing him to groan in pain. This was followed by Gamora kneeing him in the groin, followed by wincing from everyone on the ship.
"Don't. Touch." Gamora was filled with anger as she then kneed him in the stomach. "Me!"
Quill then dropped to the ground and held the areas that she had just kicked and groaned in pain. "Ow..."
"Ouch." Sabine winced as did Kanan.
"Remind me to never tick her off," Hera said as she crossed her arms.
"He deserved it." Peter didn't have any sympathy for him.
"Ooh, I felt that." Ezra groaned as he crossed his legs.
"Hehe." Zeb couldn't help but laugh.
"It seems they have a history." Lando notices.
"You idiot!" Gamora cried in anger. "I told you. I made you promise. You should have killed me when you had the chance! Now everyone has suffered because of you. Do you have anything to say for yourself?"
Quill wheezed as he tried to speak and looked up at her. "You missed the first time. Then you got them both the second time."
Gamora didn't seem to be in the mood as she groaned and marched her way back to the ship. "The idiot."
Lando stood out of Gamora's way when she approached and continued to storm off in anger. "Well, all of that put aside, you think your ship can make it past the blockade, Captain Hera?"
"It is," Hera promises him. "And the Ghost can mask both its signal and signature. We'll get you past the blockade. What's the cargo?"
"I was told no questions asked," Lando commented as Quill finally got to his feet.
"That's fine. It just costs more." Hera warns Lando.
"Kanan and I already agreed on a price," Lando informed her. "But I assume he requires your approval."
Hera saw they already talked and agreed and knew to trust Kanan. "He doesn't."
"Excellent," Lando said as he shook Kanan's hand while Quill made his way over to them. "When the job's done, you'll be paid handsomely, and as agreed, I'll return your droid."
That seemed to get their attention quickly as none of them were aware of this. "Return our droid?"
Chopper then grunted and smacked Zeb, seemingly calling him out for what he had done. Zeb chuckled sheepishly and knew he needed to explain.
"You see, Lando and I were playing a game of Sabbac, and I ran out of creds, so... I kinda bet...Chopper." Zeb confessed to her.
"Garazeb Orrelios!" Hera immediately fumed with anger. "Chopper wasn't yours to bet!"
"Oh boy." Peter immediately knew this was gonna end badly. "This won't end well."
"No, it won't," Sabine confirmed.
"Kanan said it was okay!" Zeb immediately threw Kanan under the bus.
Hera immediately turned her anger toward Kanan. "You should know better! Chopper is a member of this crew!"
"It seemed like a good idea at the time." Kanan defended.
"I can sense a lot of hostility around this decision." Lando took notice of this. "How about we get underway and we can finish this transport? That way you get handsomely paid and get your droid back?"
Hera growled as she saw she didn't have much of a choice but to either go along with it or lose Chopper. She punched Kanan before marching off so that she could get the ship ready for take-off whilst everyone docked down and got ready for the mission. Whatever it was.
-----------
But whilst Lando was up talking with Hera and Kanan, who was getting an earful of it from Hera, Gamora was marching away from Quill. He was trying his best to defend what he did and why he did it, but it's a little difficult when the woman is mad that you didn't kill her.
"Listen, I'm sorry that I didn't pull the trigger fast enough for you." Quill scoffed as he chased her around the ship.
"An apology. That's a first." Gamora scoffed as she marched on.
"You know, where I'm from, when someone requests you to shoot them and you don't, they're usually grateful," Quill informed her.
"I'm pretty sure nobody in your world ever got half of the population of the galaxy murdered!" Gamora cried in annoyance.
"You know asking someone to murder someone you care about isn't exactly the easiest task, right?" Quill asks her.
Gamora suddenly stopped as she remembered what Nebula was going through, being tortured and kept alive. The only reason Thanos kept her alive was that he knew that she would give up the Soul Stone's location to save her.
"That still doesn't change I asked you to do it before Thanos had the chance." Gamora decided to finally lighten up on the anger a little. "But you're right. I should have known that you couldn't ever kill a friend."
"Thank you!" Quill sighed as he was happy she was seeing his side.
"Besides, it was my fault," Gamora confessed to Quill. She crossed her arms in anger. "I was the one who broke. I should have stayed strong and kept the location to myself."
Seems a bit of a stalemate was met, but neither one of them knew what their next move was supposed to be. Both of them had a part in the blame for the fire of the universe. More Quill than Gamora, but all in all, it was equally blameful.
"If you ever change your mind..." Quill started to do the one thing that he knew to do right, sing. "About leaving, leaving me behind. Baby, bring it to me. Bring your sweet loving...Bring it on home to me."
Gamora knew exactly what he was doing, but that wasn't to say that she minded what he was doing this time.
"I know I laughed when you left, but now I know I only hurt myself." Quill made his way slowly towards her, where he then took her hand and pulled her close. Gamora turned around and allowed Quill to just keep going. "Baby, bring it to me. Bring your sweet loving, bring it on home to me."
The two of them then end up just swaying to the music Quill started to play off of his Zune. The two just stayed back around the cargo area and swayed as the others were letting more drama unfold.
-----------
Lando requested a tour of the ship by Chopper, and it seems he actually complied with his request. He was even waiting on Lando like it was his normal programming. It was something that none of them have seen, watching as he was being nice to Lando, and wasn't complaining, arguing, or even smacking him. He was currently handed a drink over to Lando as he was looking at some of Sabine's artwork.
"Can't believe that bucket of bolts is actually waiting on that guy," Zeb growled as he watched the droid comply with him.
"I can't believe you actually bet Chopper," Peter stated as he and Ezra sat at the table.
"Yeah, good thing we weren't there." Ezra agreed with him. "You'd have bet one of us."
"Or try to do it to my armor," Peter stated as he gestured to his suit. "And that's all that's been keeping me alive recently."
"Hm, your armor would have covered the pot and a bit more." Zeb had to admit.
"Except it only works for him," Sabine stated as she was walking past. "Found one of the features was made so only Peter could access the suit. Only whoever he wants to control it can use it."
"Thank you, cautious Tony Stark." Peter was glad to know nobody could easily use his suit without his knowledge.
"Whatever, aside from all of that, I think Calrissian cheated," Zeb tells them as he eyed him.
"You're just a sore loser." Ezra denied his statement. "Lando seems nice enough."
"I'm telling you, I don't like the guy," Zeb stated.
"Sabine." Lando noticed Sabine as she walked up to him. "I understand this is your work. Reminds me of Janyor's protest paintings on Bith."
"Janyor of Bith is a major influence," Sabine admitted.
"Well, your work is even more stunning in its simplicity." Lando complimented as he looked over it.
Peter rolled his eyes and laid back in his seat to enjoy what he saw. Watching this guy was like watching a drunk Tony Stark flirt on a video someone recorded of him years ago.
"This guy is seriously pathetic." Peter scoffed as he watched the two walk off. "But yeah, even I don't like him."
"I seriously don't like him," Ezra stated.
-----------
When they made contact with a ship that seems to have Lando's cargo, they made a connection that connected their airlocks so they could journey between the two ships. Without the fear of being shot off into the cold vacuum of space. Lando, Hera, Kanan, and Quill were the only ones who were going to make the transport
"Now, whatever I say, just play along," Lando asks of them as they start to open the airlock.
"Wait. What does that mean?" Kanan asks Quill in concern.
"This dude doesn't tell me anything of what he's planning," Quill admitted with a shrug. "But I learned he does know how to get out of situations."
"That doesn't ease my concern," Kanan informed him.
"I hope you have a backup plan in case something goes wrong," Hera tells Lando.
The doors to the other ship open and the four of them make their way around. "No fear, Captain. If a comet hits, the ship has escape pods."
"Don't most ships usually have pods?" Quill asks in confusion.
He only spent a few months with Lando, and he still hadn't quite figured the guy out. They all made their way into the main cabin of the ship and found the Captain of the ship, a Jablogian named Azmorigan, stuffing his face with dozens of different fruit. Quill had to admit that he was reminding him of a dozen members of the Ravangers back in his world.
"Good to see you again, Azmorigan." Lando greeted him in a friendly manner.
Azmorigan kept eating when he stopped and gestured to a crate next to him. "I have what you ordered." Then he took another one of his fruits, leaving a trail of juice down his chin. "What do you have to offer in return?"
Lando then pushed Hera forward, to the confusion of everyone. "Her name is Hera."
"Wait, what?" Quill was worried about what was about to happen.
"What?" Kanan wasn't a fan of this. "You can't do this!"
Lando tried to ease his anger the best he could. "Trust me."
"Hera!" Kanan called out to his friend.
Hera sighed and decided to just go with the plan. "A deal's a deal, Kanan."
Azmorigan took a moment to figure out if this was something of interest. And it seemed he didn't need to take long so that he could make some use of the girl.
"Well, her attire is, uh, preposterous, but the trade is...acceptable." Azmorigan decided to accept the trade.
Kanan was about to do something reckless when Quill placed a hand on his shoulder, stopping him from doing anything that could jeopardize them. Even if he didn't like this plan, he knew better than to question Lando.
"Thank you, Lord Calrissian, for bringing me to my new master," Hera said in an angered tone as Lando took his crate. "I must find a way to repay you."
"Please don't let it concern you." Lando didn't seem to either notice or care about the sarcastic tone.
"Enough of this chit-chatter," Azmorigan tells them in annoyance. "You disturb my supper. Take your cargo and go."
"As always, Azmorigan, a pleasure doing business with you," Lando said as the three walked back to the Ghost with the crate.
When they walked back onto the ship, they saw Sabine and Peter were there waiting for them to return. They watched as Lando came past with the crate followed by Quill and Kanan, but they worried there was no sign of Hera.
"Where's Hera?" Peter asks Quill, worried if he or Lando did something.
"You wanna tell them?" Kanan asked as he looked at Lando.
Kanan seemed very as he then looked towards the man responsible. "Tell them about Hera, Lando."
"Hera is following the plan. Something we should be doing if we want to get her back." Lando informed them, only confusing them more.
"What plan?" Quill asks, not recalling any plan. "I didn't hear any plan."
"I told her to take an escape pod, weren't you paying attention?" Lando asks him. Then he started to keep pushing the crate through the ship. "Besides, Hera strikes me as very capable. We are lucky to have a captain like her."
"I'm sorry, we?" Peter asks in confusion.
"Some day you're having," Sabine stated as she looked at Kanan. "First you lose Chopper, now Hera."
"What do you say we take the Phantom until this bad luck wears off?" Peter asks Sabine. "At this rate, we should be the last few to get hit."
"I am likely to agree." Sabine had to admit as the two walked away. "Maybe Quill really is a bad luck charm like you said."
Quill scoffed as he couldn't believe he was being blamed for this. "I had nothing to do with this, I'm a victim of circumstances." Then he remembered what he did against Thanos and sighed. "Okay, now I'm a victim. Before was my bad."
-----------
Lando brought the crate to the cargo hold where Gamora, Zeb, and Ezra were watching the man lower it from the gravity weld. Ezra knelt down when he noticed the front was made so that something could breathe.
"What's in it?" Ezra asks Lando what they're transporting.
"Sophisticated mining equipment," Lando answers him.
Then they heard what sounded like snoring within the crate. "Sounds like your sophisticated mining equipment is snoring."
"And the last time I heard an excuse that sketchy, Thanos wiped out all of Klyntar," Gamora stated as she was leaning on the railing above them.
"It's perfectly safe, as long as you keep it calm," Lando promises them all and started to walk away. "And don't open the box."
With that, he went to join the others in waiting for Hera to return to the ship. Gamora wasn't exactly trusting Lando and has learned to be hesitant when it came to trusting others. Living and working with the Guardians for the last few years of course helped with that, but this guy rubbed her the wrong way.
"Lando said not to open it." Seems Ezra was thinking the same as her and wanted to know what was inside of it.
"Yeah, he did." Zeb agreed as he then leaned over and opened the crate.
Gamora leaned over as she was interested in what it was. What started to walk out of the crate almost looked identical to a warthog from the earth, just without the hair and with a strange face.
"That's mining equipment?" Gamora wasn't sure she understood.
"It's kinda cute. Whatever it is." Ezra admitted as he kneeled to get a better look.
Zeb kneeled over and gave it a sniff where he then backed away. The pig-like creature then squealed when he got close and backed away in fear. It started to run away and Gamora quickly leaped into action to try and catch it but was too late as the pig ended up climbing the ladder.
"What in the name of Kryll?" Gamora asked in complete confusion at what she just witnessed.
Zeb and Ezra quickly chased after it whilst Gamora went in the opposite direction to reach it. Kanan was flying when he witnessed them running past with the pig in first and running. He decided to keep his focus on flying until Hera showed up and hoped they could handle whatever was happening.
Lando and the others were passing when they noticed the pig. "That's what was in the crate!" Then Gamora came down from the corridor and blocked it from going further. "Don't scare her!"
Peter acted fast as he shot out a web when the pig came running past and managed to web it to the ground. But it was still freaking out. Quill saw this and decided to act fast as he leaped in and grabbed the pig and started to pet it like a cat.
"Easy, girl." Quill was keeping her calm, noticing she was freaking out near Zeb. "Hey, Harry, mind ditching the room?"
"Huh?" Zeb asks in confusion.
"Zeb, you're scaring her," Peter explains to his friend.
"Me?" Zeb asks in confusion.
"And trust me, we wanna keep the puffer pig happy," Lando warns them.
"Is that what this is?" Sabine asks and looked at the animal.
"Zeb?" Hera called, asking him to leave.
"Fine." Zeb decided to just walk further away from the puffer pig.
The further he got from the animal, the calmer it got and he got further to the point h the pig calmed down completely. Quill just kept laying down and petting the animal to keep it calm as the others approached.
"You know, it's actually kinda cute," Quill admitted as he looked over it.
Gamora huffed as she looked at the two of them. "I should have known a pig would get along with a pig."
"Hey!" Quill felt offended by that.
The ship then exited hyperspace and Kanan was becoming worried when he saw the Imperial blockade coming up. "I could really use Hera right about now."
"I'm coming," Hera said as she walked past them and made her way over to the seat.
"Any idea why there is such a powerful blockade around the planet?" Gamora asks as she eyed Lando.
"Probably searching for rebels?" Lando took a wild guess.
"Anything else?" Gamora asks as she drew her blade, managing to just get the tip at his neck.
Lando saw she was up to him and decided to just confess. "Unauthorized mining equipment, perhaps."
"Why would they be looking for that?" Sabine asks him.
Lando sighed and knew he needed to answer. "Maybe because I tried to smuggle some here a week ago. That's where I met Quill."
"Yeah, had to save his ass from a handful of Stormtroopers," Quill confirmed the story as he kept the pig calm.
"And we don't have to worry since they're only scanning for equipment," Lando said as he pet the pig's head. "But our girl here is one hundred percent organic. We will pass by undetected from their scanners. As long as your ship can mask its signature."
"We can't until you ask Chopper to fix it," Hera called from the pilot seat.
Lando laughed as he gestured towards Hera. "You're catching on." Then he looked down at the droid. "All right, my little friend. Would you like to be a hero and fix it for me?"
Chopper grunted as he rolled over and went to the port and started to fix the masking so they wouldn't be shot down. They waited a few moments and all were worried about what would happen as they passed the Destroyers. But they seemed to be in the clear when they started to make their way to the open atmosphere of Lothol and were heading for Lando's location.
-----------
When they landed, Quill took the pig and carried it out whilst the others were right behind him to make sure none of them scared it. He then placed her on the ground and it started to sniff the ground as if it were looking for something.
"So, why was it so important for you to get this pig here?" Gamora was curious about it as she looked around. "And what exactly is this?"
"It's a mining facility, I bought it off a charming fellow named Vizago," Lando informed them. "As for why I needed the puffed pig, it has a nose for precious minerals. It can do the job of a dozen mining scanners."
"And the Empire doesn't want private landholders mining Lothal." Hera was able to put it together.
"Okay, look, we've done our job here," Kanan stated as he wanted to be done with this. "Pay us, and we'll be on our way."
Peter was picking something up and started to look around. "Guys?" He then quickly formed his suit around him. "We're not alone."
"You would be correct!" Azmorigan proclaimed as he came out of hiding, as well as a dozen of his men. "I'm afraid your debt will have to wait as he has others to pay."
Quill was fast as he drew his blasters and Gamora drew her sword and looked around.
"Azmorigan?" Lando was shocked to see him there.
"You forgot I introduced you to Vizago, huh?" Azmorigan asks Lando, a blaster raised at him. "I knew where you were headed!"
"But your ship..." Lando looked around and saw no sign of it anywhere. "You couldn't have hidden it anywhere close. Did you...walk here? You don't walk anywhere."
"I do what's necessary...to claim my property, Calrissian." Azmorigan promises him.
"What do you want?" Gamora asks him.
"My demands are simple." Azmorigan proclaimed as he then gestured to the pig. "I want my pig back." Then he looked towards Hera. "And her." Then he gestures to their ship and all of them. "Plus this ship and this crew as compensation for my sore feet." Then he pointed the blaster at Lando again. "But first, I want to bury Calrissian."
"Oh, that all?" Peter asks sarcastically. "Want us to make you a sandwich while we're at it?"
"Trust me, we all understand that one," Hera stated as she looked at Lando. "But no."
"Now, wait." Kanan quickly stepped in. "Let's consider that last demand for a second."
Azmorigan then started to...they weren't entirely sure what it was, but it sounded like he was short of breath. It was hard to tell what it was. "I've run out of patience! Get them!"
Everyone on Azmorigan's crew opened fire on the Rebels as they all ran to duck for cover. They all started to open fire back and forth whilst Chopper found a fuel canister.
"Eat this, you scum!" Quill cried as he activated a gravity mine on his belt and threw it. When it landed in the middle of the crew, it ended up yanking their weapons out of their hands, which easily gave all of them the cover to jump out. Sabine managed to get some ground and aimed the blasters whilst Gamora held her sword to one of their throats.
"I think your business here is over," Gamora stated.
"Don't be so sure about that," Azmorigan called as they saw he had Zeb from the back, holding the blaster to his back. "New terms, I get Calrissian, and this one lives." All of them wondered what to do when they also noticed Peter was missing. "I get Calrissian, and you all go free."
"You got it." Ezra immediately went with the deal.
"Wall." Kanan agreed.
Hera how we noticed a disturbance in the area behind him and recognized the shape. "It's tempting, but the answer is still no."
Azmorigan then felt someone tap his shoulder and turned to notice nobody there. "Huh?" Then he felt someone tap his other shoulder and only got more confused. "Huh?!"
"Boo," Peter whispered as he suddenly shot a web at his foot, causing Azmorigan to be lifted upwards to a light post and was met with Spider-Man. "New terms. Your run...and I won't wrap you up and suck you dry."
Azmorigan whimpered as he didn't know Peter was just bluffing and didn't want to take the chance. "Okay! Okay!"
"Pleasure doing business with you," Peter said as he then dropped the web and sent Azmorigan falling. "Start walking."
Azmorigan then ran away as fast as he could, Peter shooting a few webbing at his back to give him and his men the insensitive to keep going. Once he was far enough away, Peter leaped down and landed on the ground, and retracted his suit.
"Well, that takes care of that," Peter stated as he wiped his hands from imaginary dust.
"Nice moves," Sabine commented as she looked up at the post. "Didn't even see you sneak up there."
"I've been having a lot of practice with sneaking around recently." Peter shrugged and looked at Lando. "As much as the guy annoys me, I want to go to let him just die."
"Thank you for that, my friend," Lando said with relief.
"Don't go that far," Peter warned him.
"Would you have really sucked him dry?" Quill asks him.
"I didn't get fangs with the powers," Peter promised and even showed his teeth. "You imagine that? I'd be like a vampire."
"While I'm glad you saved me, I just wish you hadn't let Azmorigan live," Lando stated as he looked back to where Azmorigan was. "That's gonna be a problem for me later."
"You've got some problems now," Hera informed him. "You don't have the credits you owe us, do you? In fact, you never did."
"But I will when my baby works her magic," Lando promises as he pets the pig.
"You mean if she finds what you're looking for. And you managed to mine it and smuggle it off world?" Hera asks him.
"I can give you back your droid," Lando said as he gestured to Chopper.
"That won't satisfy your debt to me," Hera warns him. "Not after what you pulled back there."
"Then how about we settle that debt over a game of Sabacc?" Lando asks her.
"You're going to have to owe me one," Hera stated as they started to make their way back to the Ghost.
But Gamora didn't move quite yet as she looked over to Quill and saw his face. The others noticed her stopping and wondered what was going on.
"Gamora? You coming?" Ezra asks her.
Gamora looked back over to them and over to Quill. "Actually...I'm going with Peter."
"Go where?" Peter was wondering where they're gonna go.
"Lando has a few friends who are opened to a few extra hands for their crew," Quill said as he pulled out a communication device. "They'll be here soon to pick me up, just gotta make it to the rendezvous point."
"Drax and Mantis are still out there somewhere," Gamora explains as she looked out to the stars. "And with the Empire..."
"You want to protect your people." Kanan understood their point.
"This isn't goodbye," Gamora promised as she closed her sword. "Just...until we meet again."
The two then started to walk away and Peter sighed and knew to at least show support. Quill made a mistake, but it seems he suffered enough for what he did.
"Hey, Flash Gordon!" Peter called as the two turned to fade him. Peter sighed and swallowed a bit of spit rising up. "Good...Good luck."
Quill nodded as he smiled, happy they were at least on mutual terms now. "Yeah, same to you, Footloose."
And with that, the two teams went their separate ways to make their way throughout the galaxy. Gamora still had her communicator, so that would mean they could remain in contact with her and call them if they ever needed help.
Lando kneeled to Chopper and placed his arm on his head. "Don't worry, my small metal friend. We shall meet again."
But it seemed Chopper was done being friendly and pushed his hand off his head and made his way onto the Ghost. They all made their way aboard and it seemed not all were comfortable with it.
"So that's it, we walk away without the creds?" Kanan asks Hera.
"Well, we got Chopper back," Hera shrugged.
"I'm looking for a positive," Kanan stated.
"Found another one of the Avengers." Sabine went with a positive.
"Technically, we found two members of the Guardians of the Galaxy," Peter informed her. "There are still a lot of them out there."
"Well, to find them, we're still gonna need food and fuel." Hera was sorry to say.
But then Chopper pulled out a canister that he got from the sight. Sabine immediately recognized what it was and couldn't help but laugh.
"Hey, Chopper stole Lando's fuel," Sabine tells them.
"He was playing Lando the whole time?" Zeb was amazed to see.
And with that, without the knowledge that Lando knew they stole the fuel and that is why he didn't pay them. He just waved them off as the Ghost flew off into the sky.
"Till we meet again!" Lando called to the rebels.

Quill and Gamora made their way to the location where they were contacted to meet up with the ship. When they looked up at the sight, they noticed a vehicle approaching.
It was a Corellian YT-1300, which was a model of freighter and transport manufactured by the Corellian Engineering Corporation. Some of the vessels saw service as intermodal tugs in orbital freight yards, as the vessel's side-mounted cockpit and front-facing mandibles allowed it to push containers, although the design was modular enough to allow enterprising captains to modify their ships. Standard YT-1300s possessed powerful Girodyne SRB42 sublight engines and an Avatar-10 hyperdrive and were powered by a Quadex power core. A SuperFlow IV computer controlled the ship's most critical functions while a Rubicon navi-computer handled navigation tasks and calculated paths for hyperspace jumps.
When it landed on the ground, the door then opened and two figures were standing there. "You Lando's contact?"
"That's me," Quill confirmed. "You are?"
"The names Han." He said as he came out of the ship. "Han Solo..."

Far across the galaxy, on the desolate planet of Atollon, Stephen Strange gasped as he then opened his eyes for the first time. Since having talked with Madame Web, he was the last to make it into this new reality.
Strange got up to his feet and groaned as he felt his head had the biggest headache. "Ow." He then started to look around and saw the area was mostly desired. "Okay...where am I?"
Then he felt the ground shake and he looked over to see the ground was starting to move and he watched something crawl out of the ground. He watched as what looked to be a giant creature came out of the ground and stared down at him.
"The real question is, Doctor Stephen Strange, where do you want to be?" He asks the sorcerer.
