HARRASMENT

Deeksha checked her watch for the umpteenth time and sighed in disappointment.

Deeksha: Where is this girl?

After a few minutes, an auto stops in front of her, and the passenger steps out of it.

Deeksha: Sakthi! Finally!! Why did you take so long?

Sakthi paid the auto fair to the driver and walked towards Deeksha with a disappointed expression.

Sakthi: So long? It's an auto, not a Ferrari that it will span two hours journey in one hour!
Btw, you guys told me that you'll be sending a car to pick me up. But what I got was an auto driver who was telling me "Behenji, come I'll drop it you!"
I thought that he's just telling, to get a customer but later he told me that he is specially assigned by you guys to pick me up!

Deeksha: Why are you getting so furious about it? I told you that I'll send a transport to pick you up. Isn't auto transport? That's discrimination you are doing here.

Sakthi sighed in defeat. She was already tired of the two hours journey in the auto.

Inside the hall

Clarie force-fed Divya a spoonful of veg soup, which the latter was resisting for a long time.

Divya: This is torture.

Divya spoke in her hoarse voice. Her fever had taken over her vocals for bad.

Claire: I don't care! You've to drink this. It will make you feel better.

Divya: I'm fine.

Claire: Shut up or I'll put another spoonful into your mouth without your consent.

Divya: Aren't you already doing that?

Clarie: Umm... Yeah... But I'll do it again!

Divya: Oh Lord! Save me!

Meanwhile, Deeksha guided Sakthi into the hall where everyone was.

Deeksha: Guys, see who's going to join us today. It's our Teen Tales star Sakthi!

Sakthi: I'm not a Teen Tales star. Stop your flattering words to reduce my anger 😑😑.

Anyways, Hi guys. Divi, how's your health?

Divi: I'm fine Saki. But I won't be for long if Clarie big sis keeps torturing me with her soup.

Claire: It's for your good health.

Sakthi: Don't argue Divi, drink it. You will feel good.

Deeksha: Same thoughts.

Divya pouted at them and Clarie fed her another spoonful, which she drank angrily.

On the other side, Chinmayee and Pixie were seen arguing over something. Like their life depended on it.

Chinmayee: I'm telling you, it was fish cutlet.

Pixie: Hatt... It wasn't. I know fish's texture very well. It was chicken.

Chinmayee: I know both's texture! It was fish. No way it can be chicken!

Pixie: No, it was chicken!!

Sakthi: Seriously?

Sakthi turned towards Deeksha.

Deeksha: Welcome to our world!

Pixie: Deeku, tell her that it was Chicken! Chicken! Chicken! I'll run a rally for it with hoardings on 'Chicken wins'.

Chinmayee: Oh yeah? Then I'll also put hoarding on 'Fish Dish Wins'! The battle is on.

Deeksha: Guys, stop it! It was a veg cutlet! Now, let's start the show ok?

Pixie: Hain?? 😲😲😲

Deeksha: Sakthi, go. Today you are the host.

Sakthi: Ok.

Sakthi: Hello guys, I'm Sakthi. Today we'll be discussing the topic

HARASSMENT ON BOTH GENDER

So, are you all ready?

Let's get started.

Guys, harassment is not only sexual or physical but mental, verbal, cyber, and so on.

Clarie: Any action without the others consent or opinion is harassment or abuse. It's imposing your actions on someone else.

Sakthi: Guys, it can be considered as harassment when the society of someone blames on anyone without knowing the root of the cause. It's kind of mental harassment.

Pixie: I agree. It is an offending act performed against someone that causes hurt to the opposite party.

Shakti: Guys what do you feel is the reason behind harassing someone like why do people harass other people? It's a wrong thing to do but still why do some people do it?

Well, according to me it's a sadistic quality where they gain pleasure and happiness out of the victim's pain.

Clarie: Nowadays social and cyber harassment has increased a lot because people get freedom through social media to reach out to others so that's also a reason for why harassment has increased.

Deeksha: Sometimes, it's because the person has suffered and this is a way of putting or letting out their pain by giving pain to others.

Pixie: Yeah, many people keep up with the trend because maybe they were the victim of it sometime.

Shakti: Sometimes, it's a mental or psychological disorder that is developed due to trauma or any childhood incidents, etc.

Clarie: True! Some are proud of bullying and abusing others based on the opinion without any proper information but just believing the rumors which are spread through social media.

Pixie:  Yes, exactly !criminals are not born but created.

Clarie: Some people have a very bad and traumatic experience that they try to harass others and gain happiness from afflicting pain to others.

Pixie: And the society is responsible for the minds and development of these types of people.

Deeksha: Not just because of social media. It's because of rumors and someone's point of view or perspective.

Sakthi: Guys what do you think about this. Are males only harass females or sometimes they become the victims too?

Well according to me sexual and physical harassment is done by males. But mental and verbal harassment is mostly by women that to another woman pointing their characters.

Claire: True.

Pixie: Sometimes we see women harassing men also.

Clarie: Men actually stand up for other men and support each other whereas few women abuse other women and point out the character and spread rumors to gain popularity.

Deeksha: True.

Pixie: It's wrong to always blame men all the time because they also become the victim of it at times.

Clarie: And there are some women who used our laws and power themselves as victims and harass men too.

Pixie: Yeah, just like we spoke in fake feminism.

Deeksha: They manipulate the whole situation.

Clarie: Like I said to Deeku and Pixie that there was an incident where a girl accused one man that he raped her and she needs justice.

Pixie: Yes Deeku, some girls are there who mentally blackmail the person they love. By telling that they will harm themselves and all.p

Sakthi: The problem is men's problems are kept in the dark. At least family speaks about females but this society is very easy less people to speak about. They feel like men a strong and no one needs to care about them.

Clarie: in the incident, it became a big issue where people started harassing his family and the man committed suicide for that.

Pixie: that's very bad the girl literally murdered a person.

Lekha: yeah I have read it that after his death the found that he was actually not guilty through the light detector.

Clarie: and when his sister asks without any proof how can you blame him coma then the girls said that it's not her fault that he committed suicide. He should have fought for himself.

Pixie: that's very cruel of her.

Deeksha: sometimes harassment can lead to physical violence.

Sakthi: yeah.

Deeksha: the aggression of the person increases to a very high point.

Pixie: yes you are right Deeku. When a person is angry they don't consider morals or limitations. If they don't know how to control themselves it can lead to harassment and physical violence.

Deeksha: means used a physical strength while females use their emotional and verbal and mental strength

Sakthi: due to some men whole gender is seen as dangerous. Due to some women, many are seen as villains.

Clarie: some people without any proper proof believe rumors and separate them and it becomes a very big trend and because of that people target and constantly accused of saint blackmail messages or warnings.

Pixie: yes mental harassment and emotional harassment can be more painful than physical harassment.

Deeksha: some people do to become famous.

Clarie: true.

Sakthi: lying about a person and misusing power is also a harassment nowadays.

Clarie: the incident of the boy's locker room became very famous. In that, even girls are there where they were encouraging topics like rape and molestation.

Pixie: if you consider any social platform, there are many people who just come to the platform to her as the content creator and gain attention.

Be it on Facebook, Instagram, also Wattpad some just come and drain the comments section unnecessarily.

Sakthi: yeah nowadays many misuse political and economic power status also.

Clarie: in some pages for every post there are many double meaning comments and jokes and threats about women.

Sakthi: and in some, they will comment about something and the harassing person will use sexually abusing words.

Pixie: yes there's threats and slangs on every single thing and I guess they will comment on a pic of cake also if it's posted on social media.

Clarie: in many social media platforms there are people who have harassed girls in DMS. Even after blocking them, they make multiple accounts and charge on them again.

Pixie: that's why social media has turned a very insecure platform nowadays.

Deeksha:  yeah, I also see those posts.

Clarie: They comment on girls post very vulgar words and even if its food they say like I'll eat you and all.

Pixie:  Yeah, they do it intentionally for the attention.

Clarie: celebrities also become the prey of such people.

Deeksha: they don't respect anyone.

Clarie: people who talk about nepotism forget that they insulted and harassed actors in the movie in which they were a flop.

Sakthi: Guys, why do you feel that the society considers the women mostly as the prey of harassment?

Clarie: it doesn't really depend on gender. They can hurt anyone like it it can be a girl, boy, transgender, etc.

Deeksha: this is because of our make dominating society. People think that women are weak.

Pixie: basically our society considers women as fragile and weak.

Sakthi: Guys, what are the three types of harassment?

Deeksha: physical, verbal, and visual.

Clarie: physical is most popular. people don't react when abuse is happening and in the post on social media, they act like they are very sad about it.

Deeksha: verbal and visual harassment is the most trending.

Pixie: yes, physical has always been there while the other two have sprouted with time.

Sakthi: Verbal and visual have increased during this lockdown as many people stay at home, doing nothing.

Pixie: Physical harassment causes external affliction, but verbal and visual affect the person mentally.

Divi entered the stage with Chinmayee.

Divya: Guys, I want to give my opinion too.

Divya: the term harassment according to me means to do something against someone which will hurt them. Harassing someone make some physically and mentally weak to stop that is a point where people take control of poster we should not mind such things do they are common in social media and all over nowadays you should overcome such things and teach them a lesson.

harassment some sometimes give sadistic pleasure to some people. They find it so well that they are always targeting all people it's not only teams but every age. This exactly defines what suggested pleasure means. these people who harass will definitely have a reason that they want others to go through what they have gone on their differences with something.

yes common our now coming to the thing male and female harassment as a set of people of all gender are targeted. Mostly people harassment comes into light what mail has been coming into light very rarely is not because it doesn't happen for my does happen equally to female has meant, due to manipulation of sin is of fear or sometimes it comes out but people dhoop pay attention.

Chinmayee: there are even some people who appoint small things as harassment.

Divya: moving on to how harassment affects our society. The affected person is hydrosphere full to mingle with others and they are also fearful the saman main repeat the same thing with that trust and believe goes into the air if it is an extreme case of harassment. Nowadays sy1 harassment and writing are the most common terms.

here are some solutions which may help people to get rid of such harassment issues.
